My old art with witches from our local folklore, wearing black and red striped cloth called zapaska świętokrzyska. I was one of those strange kids fascinated with them.
According to legends every year witches celebrated Sabbath on the top of Bald Mountain nearby. There was once an old Slavic temple, then a church and a national park, now just a church and a bunch of irresponsible people devastating the nature after borders of the park have been moved.

I’m waiting for the zines and the prints to arrive, I sent the order for those to my printer last week and I’ve been told everything should be sent out on June 2nd, which means that I should have everything at hand for June 12th (fingers crossed in case anything should go badly, there’s still a pandemic out there and everything in europe is a bit all over the place, especially postal systems) Once I have everything here I’ll prepare the bundles and send everything out so stay on the lookout if you’ve ordered a physical bundle cause I will email you a tracking code that should enable you to keep track of the package yourself! As per everything else in the bundles: – the sticker sheets are already in my hands, I ordered them the last week of April and they got here a week or so after! – the Baba Yaga sticker will be sent out to the printer on Monday and possibly be ready that same week! (thankfully I have a sticker printer a couple blocks from me which will make everything easier and quicker) ___________________________

this is based off baba yaga folklore but adjusted more as a big creepy witch lady who helps out fledgling witches who are starting out. you need spell books? she got it. you need pots and shit full of magic junk? she got it. she’s your one stop shop forest lady!

Notes:
In Slavic folklore, Baba Yaga, the wild witch of the woods, helps those who seek her out, unless they piss her off and then she simply eats them. Pegging is a term Dan Savage (of Savage Love fame) made popular back in 2001: an act in which a woman has anal sex with a man by penetrating him with a strap-on dildo. Lucille Bogan was one of the Three Queens of the Blues (Ma Rainey and Bessie Smith being the other two). Her sexually explicit lyrics helped popularize the “Dirty Blues” genre. Perhaps her most famous song, Shave ‘em Dry, starts off with the lyrics: “I got nipples on my titties big as my thumb/ and something between my legs that’ll make a dead man cum.” Indeed.

Here you see the Baba yaga, usually depicted in Slavic tales as an old crone in the woods, occasionally helping or hindering travelers. Her focus on self-reliance and her disdain for society make her an admirable figure to reclaim.
