Something
Something brings me close to the water. I don’t know what but something draws me near to the water. Everytime I think about the lake I think about you. I think about the day we laid down on the boardwalk, in the middle of fall. I think about the days we went to the beach and spent the whole day there. I think about the night we laid down by the harbor and stared at the stars all night. Something draws me to the water.
Yacni is perched on a rock waiting for the tide to come rolling in from the sea to the shoreline. The creatures in the waves are water spirits like his mother, they’re in charge of high tide and low tide on Fairy beach as they bring the water level far up in the land.
