Hello guys! Happy Wednesday finally on the stomach of the week. I’m only 40 pages away from ending Six of Crows! I will most likely not sleep until I finish it so I can start reading Always and Forever Lara Jean

Today book is After You by Jojo Moyes the sequel of Me After You which I made the grave mistake to lend it to a coworker at the time but neither of us work there anymore If everything goes as planned I will have my baby back next week so wish me luck!

Today the photo is of a TBR and it’s called Dreamology by Lucy Keating and as soon as I read the synopsis I knew I had to read it because when I was younger I dreamed of the same unknown guy repeatedly and I remember asking around wanting to know what it meant and people told me it was my subconscious remembering someone I saw on the street but others with their superstition told me it was a spirit but eventually the dreams stop and I never meet someone who look like the guy from my dreams so I didn’t get a romance story like Alice This may not interest you but just putting it out there

I have to tell you guys some things:
1. I’m officially obsessed with thistles. I find them and hurt myself picking them and hurt myself more photographing them. But worth it, yeah? Look at them!
2. This is a book called Bone Mother I was trying to save for Fall but I “accidentally” browsed through the pages and saw that they were short, scary folklore tales with creepy photos! I read like 10 of them last night.
3. I’m anticipating my @the.nocturnal.readers.box SO BAD! I’m trying not to leave the house so I can be here when it arrives
4. I have a translucent thorn in my fingertip that hurts when I type on my phone. I can’t see it to remove it. Any suggestions??

Hey! How long has it been since I mentioned Nick Cutter? A few days? Well then, today is the perfect day to mention him again:
I read The Deep in the Fall of 2016. It kind of blew me away. I posted a review and everyone was praising his book the Troop. So I read that in April of this year. Here’s a real progression of my face while reading it:

And then the @the.nocturnal.readers.box gave me a SIGNED copy of Little Heaven which was like the best birthday gift ever and it is now my favorite read so far of 2017.
I just connect to Cutter’s writing. His descriptions are so vivid and powerful. I’m often just awestruck by what he can do with words. Serious mad props for his skills and ability to write excellent horror.

Here’s my mini haul from the Friends of the Library Sale!
There were TONS of people there today and I have a touch of crown phobia so it was get in and get out for me.
I’m a little nervous about the Crow Girl book. The synopsis involves stuff with kids and that can be very rich and go with me–sometimes it’s fine and sometimes I’m like NOPE ✋
The hubs and I watched the movie version of the Circle and I kept thinking, I bet this is a fantastic book! So I’m excited to read it.
@ab_reads will be happy I got some Murakami! And I couldn’t pass up the vintage cover on the Last Unicorn.

Well, one of the new books I requested from a publisher I found on Twitter came yesterday! It’s called Beneath by Kristi DeMeester. TOR.com was also boating about this book, the plot really intrigued me: a journalist with a secret past is assigned a cover story about a snake charming cult in the Appalachian mountains. Again with the cults!

Speaking of cults, I read 84 pages in one fell swoop of Gather the Daughters. See a previous post if you want to know more about it but it’s so easy and compelling. I hate putting it down!
