Today’s featured cocktail is the Corn Maze.

Rich, frothy & slightly sweet - this Minnesota original evokes roasted sweet corn & getting lost in the labyrinth of a late Summer corn field maze.

 Swiss Kiss ! Ingredients:Serving: 11 ½ ounces gin½ ounce génépy¾ ounce lemon j

Swiss Kiss !

Ingredients:

Serving: 1

  • 1 ½ ounces gin
  • ½ ounce génépy
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • 1 dash Peychaud’s bitters
  • absinthe, to float

Garnish: mint sprig

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  3. Garnish with a mint sprig.

Over ice in a mixing glass combine and stir the following:

1.5 oz Calvados (Apple Brandy)
¾ oz Benedictine
¾ oz Yellow Chartreuse (or ½ yellow and ½ green as a variation)
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and wallow.

i am moving out of my share house into my own place this friday (!!!!!!) but here are some nice things i made recently in my current kitchen (for 3 more days)… 

pickled cherries / bitters prepping

chamomile grown in my garden & dried in my DIY tiered dryer, foraged mulberry vinaigrette, infused calendula oil, mulberry rosella cordial / mango and lime curd

sauerkraut / lemon myrtle & lime bitters, lavender & pink grapefruit bitters

Pirate Jenny 1 oz Sorel 1 oz Velvet Falernum 1 ½ oz aged dark or golden rum ½ oz fresh

Pirate Jenny

1 oz Sorel

1 oz Velvet Falernum

1 ½ oz aged dark or golden rum

½ oz fresh lime juice

1 dash bitters

Fill rocks glass with large ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Stir Well. Garnish with a lime wedge.

The Bijou 3 parts gin 1 part green Chartreuse 1 part sweet vermouth dash orange bitters lemon peel f

The Bijou

3 parts gin

1 part green Chartreuse

1 part sweet vermouth

dash orange bitters

lemon peel for garnish

Pour everything but the garnish into a shaker filled with ice. Stir and strain into a glass. Garnish with lemon peel.
