What’s up, everyone? I took a good 48 hours off to clear my head and deal with some other things, but I know you all have NaNos to power through. So I’m re-opening  the Ask Box for now. If you tried to send an ask by messaging me, please re-submit to the ask box, because mama don’t play that game when the ask box is closed.

For those who are curious, I’m re-applying for the instructor position next month, and I haven’t heard back from the fellowship program yet, so we’ll see what happens, but I’m not hopeful in either direction. On the plus side, I now have two awesome partners I love the hell out of, so why would I want to leave anyway? :)

The sinus infection I’ve had since Christmas decided to go bacterial and spread to my bronchi, and then cause me to spike a fever. For funsies, my GI tract decided to revolt, too. I’m taking a few days to recover.

Sorry if asks don’t go up as they should be in the next few days. Messages are also a thing I will not be doing for the next few days.

For now I’m curled up with a cup of tea and imagining a puppy, because I don’t have a real puppy to snuggle but I get SUPER snuggly when I’m sick.

This is getting WAY OUT OF CONTROL. I love you guys, and I love how many people want to help other writers. But this is absolutely nuts.

I’m trying to establish some guidelines of what constitutes a ScriptX blog, but here’s the thrust of things:

Most of you aren’t even asking before setting up a tumblr based on my username, and that’s fucked up.

I’m happy you want to help. I’m happy you want to make writers more accurate. But you also need to think about the concept of a content expert.

We need to talk about what that means. Studying something does not make you an expert in it. And if one scriptx blog gives out inaccurate information, that hurts all of us, even your beloved Aunt Scripty.

Give me some time to set up some ethical guidelines and a “should you start a ScriptX Blog” post, and we’ll go from there, but for now, PLEASE don’t make any new blogs. We’re getting duplication, and frankly, we haven’t had time to screen anyone’s content for accuracy, which has already lead to problems.

Give us some time to sort this out.

Hi, are you only accepting personal accounts from autistics? How about someone with an autistic sibling. Perhaps it’s helpful to know about interaction between someone autistic and someone who isn’t? Writing autistic characters generally means there’s interaction with those who aren’t. I also have many accounts on dealing with idiotic people who won’t understand my sister’s needs. There are also some people who try to help my sister but are actually helping wrongly.

We were debating a little on how to answer this. This could potentially be interesting, but there is the possibility of harmful sibling narratives, and we want to avoid a situation where we get too many submissions from allistic family members. Focusing on and boosting autistic voices is an important part of what we do, and we are a little hesitant about setting a precedent of having allistic people writing about us on the blog.

With that in mind, we do think it could be interesting to have a post where there were points of view from both an autistic and a non-autistic sibling. While we are very familiar with interactions between autistic and non-autistic people (we have to interact with a lot of allistic people in real life!), there are interesting discussions to be had about sibling relationships that could be useful for our readers.

A similar model could be used in general for talking about other relationships between autistic and allistic people. Rather than hearing from just the allistic person, including the autistic person’s viewpoint could help to contextualise the relationship. It also means that we get the opportunity to promote autistic voices, particularly those of people who might not otherwise share their opinions and experiences with a wider audience.

Tl;dr - we’d love to hear from you and your sister, but we won’t be taking personal accounts from non-autistic people without input from an autistic person as well.

Sorry for our absence. Unfortunately life has been pretty full-on for all of us mods. The happy news is that I have added some new posts to the queue and the blog should hopefully be getting going again.

I have a new job and a new apartment and the sun is coming out and I’m doing SO much better, mental health wise. I’m doing super well a New Job, and the place I just moved is literally a FIVE MINUTE WALK from work. So that’s my commute now. Yeah, be jealous.

Also, my boy is away at a conference this week(end), and I’m apparently starting to get my sex and kink drives back, because today we were sexting a bunch while I was at work.

See, I’m super in to him talking about how much he wants his classmates/colleagues to fuck him and humiliate him and use him. Right now he’s rooming with two of them, and there are only two beds, so they’re alternating who has to share a bed each time (which is totally the set up for a porn, right?!)

I had him send me a couple of stories about what he wished would happen and what he wanted them to do him, and the results were super hot. Also, he’s been paying me money and begging me for things like a voicemail of me laughing at him, but I’ll say more about that in my next post.

It’s been a super stressful week at work with little to no free time to write, especially since I’ve been having to work every night, pretty late into the night. I haven’t even had the energy or desire for captioning. I miss y'all!

I’m hoping to write more updates next week, and maybe ask someone to make me write for several hours one day on the long weekend coming up.

Also, Breastie had a good suggestion for me, since I haven’t been feeling up to writing as much, but also miss the inspiration (and people!) of tumblr. She suggested that I use a sideblog to reblog things as inspiration, without pushing myself to add content.

So I’m changing up my sideblog (lfbsideblog) to be a place where I reblog pictures and text posts without adding my own captions or comments. It was a place I reblogging cute animals and political stuff, but now that my main blog is more personal, I can just do that here!

So, in case it hasn’t been clear from various posts I made, I’ve been having a rough time lately. In addition to work getting increasingly busy and stressful, my depression has kicked up a notch, and it’s made everything more difficult. Reaction Junkie helped me get into therapy with a kink- and poly-aware therapist.* I’m seeing him for the first time this coming Thursday, and have an appointment with my psychiatrist this Monday where I’ll talk about adjusting my medication.

As a result, I’ve been having a more difficult time with dealing with feels, had increased social anxiety problems, been updating tumblr less, and I’ve been simply awful at responding to people. There’s a lot of people (on tumblr and off) I want to talk to and/or was talking to but stopped in the middle. I’m sorry for that, and I’m hoping to start being better at responding soon, in addition to starting to write again. You’re all lovely. I miss you, and I miss tumbling.

*As in, I wanted to get one and he asked around on FetLife, found some, I selected one I liked, and then Reaction Junkie called the guy and left a message with my info, since I just couldn’t. I love this guy.

I missed uploading the daily pictures this weekend because did you know that moving is incredibly exhausting and stressful!?!?

Reaction Junkie is being lenient, so I’m not going to be punished. I just need to post extra pictures to make up for it, so expect multiple pictures today!

Btdubs, work has been crazy for like two months and I’m in the process of moving, so I haven’t been on here (or elsewhere) much. But whenever I am, I am reminded of how awesome you people are.

Hopefully when I move I’ll settle in to more of a routine and can make some tumblr time.

Ngl, it’s kinda funny to see a flurry of activity on my tumblr and then when I look why, it’s because the picture of me getting pissed on is making the rounds again. It doesn’t bother me, mind. It just amuses me.

I’m glad the caption on that isn’t super oriented to consensual misogyny, since I’m really not into that much anymore. I got an unsolicited dick pic from someone last night (not even a follower, mind you) saying he wants to “cum dumpster” me. Gross/funny/boring. Is cum dumpster a verb? Is it just equivalent to “I want to make you into a cum dumpster?”

Hey gang, sorry I haven’t been on here lately. I’ve been dealing with some self discovery stuff, and have realized that I’m actually not bisexual. 

I still believe in the stuff I’ve posted here, so I’m gonna keep it up, but I’m moving it over to my account that just saves urls for me and won’t be responding to anything on here.

Hey everyone!  Long time no see.  I’ve pretty much given up on taking outfit photos at the moment, because a) no matter what I do, they usually end up grainy, and b) it’s not like I’m dressing up all that much at the moment.  There is one more thing I’m going to try with my camera to hopefully fix the graininess; if it works, I may post the occasional outfit, but if it doesn’t, I’m going to be more or less inactive for a while.  You can follow my instagram (same username as here) which is a mix of quite a lot of things, including some fashion/outfit stuff.  I will hopefully be able to come back to this blog at some point, when I have access to an outdoor space for photography again.  (I currently live in an apartment building in the middle of a city, which is also problematic for just generally getting outdoors when there’s a pandemic happening.)

So, if you don’t mind following a mostly-inactive blog, there probably will be some pictures here and there if you stick around.  Or, again, I generally post at least once a week on instagram.  (It’s a mix of food, fashion, makeup, plants, fiber art, etc.)

Of course the next time I dress up and have the energy to try photos, this may all become moot if I’m able to get my camera to get rid of the graininess after all.

Okay, everybody, lots of shit was going on IRL and I got two weeks behind on book reviews, I’ve already got three of them written and posted so far today, if I want to get my weekly blog post up on time tomorrow I’ve got (looks at Hoopla) two more finished books to review, and a few hours left on an audiobook that I might be able to finish in time and review too, though that might be stretching it.
