my biggest tma pet peeve is people calling Jonah Magnus a Victorian even though he spent the first 40+ years of his life in the Georgian era. Jonah ain’t no Victorian, he’s a Regency kid who never got over that weird amulet-with-miniature-eye-portrait trend.

“he’sevil” no he’s not. he’s just my lil man. ok, maybe a little, but he’s still just my funky lil man. “he’s killed people” okay, and?? he’s just quirky that’s all. but he’s also got great style, and i think he’d give really good hugs :)
Theory:Jon never actually woke up from his coma at the start of season 4. He’s still in the coma, and everything afterwards is a dream the Eye put together to mess with him. Bonus points if Elias actually planned all of this from the start because he’s just That Ahead of everyone’s shit
Hello friends! Spoilers ahoy, so more below the cut.
Theory Proposal: Elias is Jonah Magnus
- Apparently, according to the Do not Archive Discord crew, this theory has already been proposed. But I hadn’t seen it yet so I figured I’d go ahead and coalesce it and my evidence in a single post for my own organization.
1. Jon Mentions during his paranoid investigations that Elias had a complete personality change around the time of his hiring. He somehow transformed from a pot-head washout type to a fastidious manager over night.
2. Rainer demonstrated in Police Lights that body hopping is theoretically possible in universe. This is later confirmed in MAG 140 when we learn Rainer is Haley. (Or rather… is the thing that he became)
3. In MAG 135, Manuela mentions through her statement that Rainer hopes to offer Elias a chance to switch tracks and surrender, owing to their previous friendship.
4. In MAG 138, Smirke talks about Rainer as a friend/companion of himself and presumably Jonah Magnus as well.
5. Also in MAG 138, Smirke begs Jonah not to continue down his path, saying that “the fear of death is natural and to flee from it will only bring greater misery,” Implying that Jonah seeks a prolonged life through some manner….
Further Notes- -This would give Elias a very good motive to murder Gertrude– she very well could have figured him out.
-Jonah Magnus’s tendencies to watch, rather than act, are mentioned in one of the Lucas episodes by the letter writer begging him for help. This matches up with complaints about Elias’s behavior nicely.
-nickname Nightmare Magnet on the discord mentioned that Elias always appears in episodes mentioning Jonah Magnus. I haven’t double checked this, but it’s an interesting thought.
