[[ Another animated portrait of Artemis, this time with Todd Lockwood’s painting for the cover of Servant of the Shard brought to life by Deep Nostalgia.
Some images will yield better results than others, and some images do not work at all. From my limited experimentation, even if the app detects a face in the image, the face cannot be a total profile shot to work. Such is the reason why Artemis from the cover of Promise of the Witch King does not work, it only yields an animated image in which his face is distorted strangely in various directions. Which, I suppose is a simplified way of describing what’s going on with this app, but it is more complex than that as it employs a library of stock images to help calculate the animated result.
I really like this one because it captures his character so well. Of course, much of that is thanks to Lockwood’s depiction, but I love how in the animated version, he starts off disgusted but takes a moment to consider his surroundings, finally deciding that his original assessment was correct. XD ]]
[[ The latest craze seems to be this app made by MyHeritagecalledDeep Nostalgia, which lets you animate photographs of people. It also works on artwork.

This is a digital painting I did of Captain/Grand Marshal Zardoz Zord. It’s part of a larger piece that is in the works to accompany a DMsGuild supplement on the Sea Maiden’s Faire carnival. I wasn’t going to post it until the product is finished, but I decided I’d release this particular image early after I heard the news. RIP Sean Connery.
Notes from the artist regarding their upcoming DMs Guild supplement:
It’s more of a background supplement, with full-color maps of all the ships and their stated contents, portraits and descriptions of the carnies, color advertising posters in the style of 18th-19th century carnival posters, descriptions of the various shows and acts to be enjoyed, and a few possible adventure hooks related to the carnies themselves.

[[ Apparently my Christmas art seriously ruffled some feathers. XD
As sad as it is that a world that is as canonically LGBT+ inclusive as the Forgotten Realms attracts so many homophobes, I expected this sort of reaction when I shared my art to the Forgotten Realms subreddit. The percentage of upvotes was actually less than 50% until I cross-posted it to a bunch of LGBT+ subs and fellow members of the community showed up to upvote it, same as they did last year.
What I didn’t expect was for one of the admins of the FR sub to make a post, and an announcement at that, addressing the matter. So that was pretty cool. ]]

All I Want For Christmas

[[ I started this in 2018 but was unfortunately not able to finish it then.
After over 100 hours between then and now, it’s finally done! This is the most time I’ve put into a piece, and represents the limit of where my skill is currently. It feels kind of surreal right now, I didn’t think I’d ever be able to finish it, and now that I have, I’m not altogether sure what to do with myself.
There’s a snowless version for those that are finding themselves buried under too much of the white stuff.
A very Merry Christmas to everyone, Happy Holidays, and may the coming New Year be full of good things for all of you! ❤️

[[ Slapped some simple shading on a drawing from 2018, which I’d apparently never posted on this account. This was supposed to have been one of a series of drawings of Artemis and Jarlaxle modeling various sexy underwear, but I think I threw in the towel when I didn’t like how this drawing turned out. I don’t think I can draw Jarlaxle sexy enough, and having a Sellswords-themed sexy underwear collection with just one Jarlaxle piece seemed kinda silly.

OATH OF REDEMPTION ( ⚥ kobold)
Struck by the illuminating realization (and a cleric’s morningstar) that Tiamat is not the only dragon deity that can be worshipped, this little kobold has started the difficult path of being a peacemaker in the name of Bahamut, the great metallic dragon. Already blessed with wings this little hero has a long journey of adventuring ahead!

Kobolds can be played with Volo’s Guide to Monsters, and there you will learn that this little cute things can change theirs physiological sex at will if necessary!
