British transphobes have graduated to claiming that bisexual women are tainted by our association with men and thus change the “vibe” of women-only spaces. More In Common UK has just released a report on Britons and Gender identity and it’s an incredibly important study when it comes to trans rights. It’s clear, once again, that TERFs are very much a minority voice, loud as they try to be, and that they don’t represent the majority of public perception. One of my own take aways from this is that it is therefore a logical conclusion that TERFs serve primarily to spread hate speech and incite violence, a perspective also supported by the existence of the terf-to-neo-nazi pipeline. Trans rights are human rights, and this study shows that the majority of British people actively agree.

Keep in mind that this is a study of public opinion, so there will be some potentially problematic perceptions, but the overall result shows that British society as a whole supports trans people and wants to be supportive.
