The hypocrisy of Whoopi Goldberg
Despite the differences between The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian, there is one thing these two shows share that I love. The world building, and the expansion of the GFFA as a universe with different planets, inhabitants, cultures and factions.
Every time I watch an episode, I feel immersed into another world that is vast and interesting and alive. I thank Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau in equal amounts (as well as George Lucas) for making Star Wars feel like a living breathing entity, in spite of what the ST failed at.
Gina Carano did not get fired from The Mandalorian for being transphobic.
She got fired for being Anti-Semitic.
Her being transphobic is not at all okay either,
But anti semitism is not talked about enough.
She basically just compared Holocaust victims to having different political opinions.
I’m Jewish. I really don’t like when someone compares the genocide of 6 million of my people to having a different political opinion! Do you realize how fucked up that is?!
Reblog this. Don’t just like this post. People need to know this. People need to start taking anti semitism more seriously.
Don’t you dare just like this post!
REBLOG IT
The first season of ‘The Mandalorian’ comes to a close in 'Redemption.’ This season pulled off a feat that not much has in the ’Star Wars’ universe since the days of 'A New Hope.’ It got people, even people outside of 'Star Wars’ fandom, talking about 'Star Wars’ again. Of course, a lot of that discussion is due to a particular asset’s cuteness, but not all of it. The writing and the direction throughout the season, especially on 'Redemption,’ are what kept people coming back.
Nurse Droid
Taika Waititi sits in the director’s chair for 'Redemption.’ I have to say I’ve been looking forward to his episode all season long and I wasn’t disappointed. He can inject humor even into the darkest moments. Witness the scene between an injured Din Djarin and the reprogrammed IG-11 to see Waititi’s mastery. Waititi is also good at bringing the humanity of his characters to the fore. The path of IG-11 this season is a beautiful example of this. We start the season glad Djarin kills IG-11, and we end the season not wanting to see their new partnership end.
Darksaber
Moff Gideon comes on to the scene and makes quite the impression. Comparable to Darth Vader’s appearance in 'A New Hope,’ there is no mistaking Gideon means serious business. The revelation at the end of the episode that Gideon has the Darksaber was a little lost on me. I haven’t invested in 'The Clone Wars’ or 'Rebels’ enough to understand the weapon’s importance. I’ll be giving those shows some time while waiting for 'The Mandalorian’ to return. It seems evident that Gideon has an interest in the Mandalorians and Din Djarin in particular. How this plays out in season 2, we’ll have to wait and see.
Finale
There were a few loose points I would have liked to see addressed in 'The Mandalorian - Redemption.’ If we’ve learned anything this season, though, it’s that patience is rewarded. Assuming there aren’t significant behind-the-scenes changes before season 2, I’ll get the answers I want. New questions too, but that is really what any 'Star Wars’ fan wants. And 'The Mandalorian’ is the most welcome addition this year to the 'Star Wars’ universe.
This movie looks really, really good.
Went for those Drew Struzan feels.

So an update- after talking about pronouns, Gina puts them in her username. Her pronouns can be seen as boop/bop/beep- mocking trans people. It is shocking how disrespectful she is to the trans community. She still keeps blocking people who call her out on her transphobia, problematic beliefs about covid, her ignorance on BLM, etc.
Please try and report her profile, if you’re online right now. Many people are mass reporting her account as of now after she made this disgusting move.
- Go to her twitter handle
- Select report @
- Select (Their tweets are directed towards a specific group, community or a person) after selecting Their tweets are abusive and harmful
- This also works when you’re blocked by her.
Spread, and let’s direct our anger and disappointment in something useful, and hopefully her handle gets taken down by Twitter.
Just a heads up that, Gina Carano who plays Cara Dune in The Mandalorian is openly pro-Trump, has very problematic beliefs about COVID, has never said anything about BLM, mocks people who put pronouns in their bio, and has even liked tweets which support allof the shitty behaviors mentioned above. She also follows many Republican pro-Trump accounts on twitter, has blocked people who called her out, and has also talked about her freedom being ‘violated’ when people attacked her due to her actions.
Many Star Wars accounts I follow on Twitter have talked about them receiving actual death threats from Gina’s supporters, gore and sensitive images and videos in their DMs, and hacking threats too, to the point that they would have to switch to private or deactivate their account. Many of these people have faced great trouble due to being triggered by such horrible supporters, who sent such things in their DMs. And Gina has NEVER talked about this issue on her Twitter handle, despite people talking about this in her comments, she always blocks them.
Her supporters in her comments call queer people (or anyone who puts pronouns in their bio- or calls her out) as mentally ill, delusional, lost in touch from reality, freaks, etc. And she also likes those replies. If you check the 'likes’ section on her Twitter handle, you will come across many bad takes. Most of them is just stuff she liked which mock people who call her out.
Know who you follow.
