So, it’s thought-provoking question time with Nikkeh: ARE YOU BEING HONEST WITH YOURSELF?

It can be easy to say ‘oh yeah i’m really working hard to get in shape’ (and this can apply to any area in life but this is a fitness page so *shrug* don’t @ me with the ‘there’s more to life than fitness’ rubbish) BUT are you actually? Or are you lying to yourself? Are you ignoring habits that are limiting your progress and holding you back? Are you self-sabotaging?

This behaviour quite often stems from an underlying belief you have that you are either never going to look and feel good, or that you are not worthy of happiness. Sounds weird but it’s true.

And if this is you, you gotta look at where this belief comes from, and debunk it. Maybe your mean older sibling used to tell you you would always be fat or maybe there was somebody abusive in your past who made you believe that you didn’t deserve to have anything good happen to you.

Idk. But you need to have a chat with yourself to understand where those thoughts are coming from so that you can realise how untrue they are and start telling yourself a new story that will enable you to reach your goals.

Bottom line. Be honest with yourself and realise that you can do A N Y T H I N G you put your mind to, if you can only get out of your own way

Honestly trying to get as many pics as possible while I’m this level of lean so I can sprinkle them throughout my content for the next year while I work on strength and building again

No really.

Reverse diet starts Monday and whilst I will do everything in my power to remain lean while I transition to eating at whatever my new maintenance ends up being, there’s no way I’m gonna stay AS lean as this. Close, but not here. So MANY PICS NEEDED AS EVIDENCE THAT I DID THIS

And i’m not saying this to discourage or put you off. What I mean is, STICK WITH IT! Just keep going, you’ve got this!

I recommend you take a ton of selfies so you can see your hard work paying off over the longer term a la me above! Progress from 2016-2021. A few small years, a lot of progress made. It can be done!

How’re you holding up this hump day? Flagging? Feeling exhausted? Feeling that new week motivation waning? I know I am. Happens every week!

I dunno about you but I quite often feel so knackered (urban dictionary is your friend) that my subconscious starts to bring up all these thoughts of “ugh I’ll just skip it today”, “why are you even trying to do this anyway”, “it’s too hard, I’m never going to make it”, “i’m exhausted. It’d be so much easier to give up”.

Sound familiar at all?

I bet I’m not the only one who has these thoughts! It’s natural. We are programmed to look for the easiest route. The path of least resistance. Just like when you’re training and your muscles are screaming and that voice in your head says “that’s enough, I can’t do any more!”.

It’s when we have these thoughts that we need to recognise it’s just our wiring trying to make life easy. But taking the easy road doesn’t help us to grow, learn, or succeed. And I want to do all of those things!

Refocus on your goals and dreams and PUSH. HARDER.

You’ve got this, keep going!
