When shooting a bow, it is very important to keep your shoulders in line. In picture A, the individual would have a difficult time aiming because they are using their muscles to hold the bow. You use muscles to hold the bow, but in picture B, the individual is using the bones in their arm to help them hold the pressure of the outstretched bow, allowing for a higher accuracy and steadier aim.

Some right-wing imbecile jumped on my photography Instagram page to call me a bigot for being anti-hunting. I began to type out, “Sure, and murder laws are bigoted towards murderers,” but instead I just erased it and blocked him, because if I’ve learned anything from the Trump era, it’s that these assholes all go to the same troll school and the goal is simply to waste our valuable time and emotional energy. There are no teachable moments for the unteachable.

The Devil Inside
Remember our adorable little friend, the sea angel (Clione limacina)?
This is the sea angel in hunting mode.
When feeding and hunting, C. limacina can rapidly shoot out three pairs of buccal cones which latch onto its prey (and fellow pterapod), the sea butterfly. These cones are lined with adhesive ridges and excrete a viscous material that help prevent the sea butterfly from escaping.
Then, as C. limacina holds the captured sea butterfly in front of its mouth, it uses specialized hooks to extract its prey’s soft parts to be devoured. Mmmm…heavenly!
