It is when you’re angry at your mom for brining you into a world to only want to escape it (even though it’s not her fault). It’s when you just want to cry but can’t because god forbid someone saw tear stains on your cheeks. So you just sit still in hope that the numbness will pass, and that you make it through the day. When all you want is to sleep and not wake up ever again.”

I am a total coward who loves drawing hot, typical, Romas Kukalis-esque andalites, and so I am such a sucker for Mona’s gorgeous, weird, alien designs that still feel so true to the book descriptions and the andalites’ whole ✨vibes✨
I’m always such a sucker for when the whumpee hits that “so tired they can’t sleep” phase of an illness. every part of their body desperately needs rest, but their mind is feverish and whirling, anxious, unmoored and floating even though they’ve been stuck in bed for days. they close their eyes, but sleep doesn’t come, and they’re painfully aware of feeling too hot, too cold, too achy - too much of everything.
if there’s a caretaker, they do everything they can to make them comfortable - playing with their hair, singing them a lullaby, laying a cool cloth across their fevered forehead.
if they’re alone, they just lay there, wishing for the grey haze of unconscious to sweep them away until the wretched illness leaves them.
I’m always pretty dubious when it forecasts snow in Devon. Normally we’re lucky to get a few snowflakes and that’s it XD so a full on snow day is pretty damn amazing!
Not seen snow like this since I lived in Scotland for a year and it’s so pretty!
