About The Shadow & Psychic Abilities
This is an important key to unlock, to further develop psychic abilities/senses. If you want to explore your psychic self fully, your shadow self is worth illuminating and working on. Why? Because the nature of psychic abilities. This is the ability to perceive, process, and bring to light incredible information from realms that are usually in the dark. This is considered “abnormal” to the majority, and while we are in this human body, on this earth, that darkness involves the shadow-self, and the subconscious mind. Often times psychics and those with strong connection to the spirit realm/divine/ ethers/ whatever you want to call it, *have* been through darkness and explored it themselves. This is not to say there aren’t psychics there who have had perfect lives, this is pointing out how the two coincide with one another. The unhealed shadow acts as a blockage. The Shadow Self is a part of you that resides in the deep state of your subconscious. This is a part of your psyche that has awaiting untapped power and knowledge. Where all our trauma, shame, deepest desires, potentially forbidden, hidden/suppressed emotions, most fragile and intense part of ourselves lie in. But the more we suppress, the more it bleeds into our life. The reason most never willingly embrace their shadow is because in our current society, we are taught to look down on our own darkness and anything that can make us “imperfect”. We are fed fear from a young age, we are met with societal expectations and pressure in every direction we look. The shadow can and should be transmuted and empowered to induce the psychic senses in a way that is healthy and certain.
Murkstaves are runes that have a dark meaning. Whether because they show up reversed or represent some primal destructive power. Murkrunes are runes for dark workings. Not necessarily bad or evil just dark. That is the intention for these tools. To work for those who seek to connect with darker energies. Finished carving the runes into the new wands I am working on. Each wand is inscribed with the Algiz rune and a bind rune originally used to protect against witchcraft. I’m only doing a handful of these and will be including more info with them as I complete the process.

Just added some new reading recommendations to Patreon (public viewing) to go with my class The Devil’s Garden @alchemy_and_ashes this Saturday!
Getting ready for class this weekend and have some reading recommendations. There aren’t a lot of books out there that focus on the dark side of herbalism, or those plants that are less explored, unknown or feared. Through our willingness to tap into these unfamiliar forces we have the opportunity to learn and to grow tremendously.
If you look in to any plant lore it won’t be long until you see a familiar name pop up. The Devil has left his mark across the plant kingdom, heartening back to when we lived in balance with nature.

The untamable and dangerous wilderness has long been associated with malevolent forces. Dark forests, marshy wastelands and other places that humans tend to avoid have a threatening aura, and have been said to be inhabited by ghosts and monsters of all sorts.
The Devil is said to lurk between the rows of corn, inside the roots of the elder tree and throughout the haunted wilderness there are plants that bear His name. In this class we will explore, the Devil’s Acre, the plot of land set aside for the Old One, how you can create your own at home and the benefits to maintaining this space.
We will discuss the plants of the Devil’s Garden, those named for Old Nick or said to contain his spirit. Plants like devil’s eye, devil’s bit and devil’s walking stick all have a unique story to tell.
