Hope Love’s Eternal: A Ben x Jed Fanfic Short

I just made this. Hope you enjoy it.

Jed and Ben sat next to each other by the fire next to the Old Mill. Ben looked up at the night sky. Stars and their constellations sparkled against in the midnight canvas.

Jed watched him, smiling. “What are you thinking about?”

“Do you know the story of Eros & Psyche,” Ben asked, giving Jed his attention.

“Another relative of yours?”

Ben chuckled. “Yeah. Eros fell madly in love with a mortal, Psyche. She was the most beautiful woman on Earth in her time. Wow, Aphrodite was jealous and did all in her power to dissuade Eros & Psyche. Put her through trials and she almost died. Aphrodite eventually gave in and Eros gave her magic.”

“I thought it was ambrosia.”

Ben raised his eyebrows. “Ah, you do know your mythology. Different words, same thing. Anyway, Psyche became immortal, a god.”

“Nice story. “

“Yeah.” Ben turned away back to the stars.

Jed leaned in. “What’s wrong?”

It’s…nothing,” said Ben, shaking his head.

“No. Come on. What is it?”

Ben sighed. “I’ve lived a long time and I probably always will.”

Jed nodded.

“Since Ashur’s death and my curse, I didn’t think I would get a chance to be with anyone. I guess what I’m asking is,” Ben turned to Jed. “If I could get the magic again, would you take it and live forever with me?”

Jed furrowed his brow. “Are you proposing to me?”

“Hypothetically, yes. I know it’s a strange question.”

Jed drew closer to Ben. Their foreheads touched and their eyes locked.

“I would.”

Ben smiled. He came near, meeting Jed’s lips with his.

“But what would we do?”

“Oh, I haven’t a clue,” he said before he busted his laughter.

His mirth caused Ben to do the same as they both stargazed.

At this point, the Old Mill needs to be their official hangout/place. All the good stuff has happened there.

Masterpost: Love Asteroids

Here are some of the more popular (and less popular) asteroids connected to love, romance, romantic feelings, sex, attraction, etc. The numbers listed next to them are their numbers on astro.com. Some of them are included in my Synastry Readings and Love/Partnership Readings. Enjoy!

Juno (3)

It represents long-term relationships and marriage. The kind of person you want to marry. It shows what you need to have in the relationship in order to commit. It can show legal ties, contracts that bond you together. The relationship with the Juno person in synastry may protect you in some way. Transits may show the timing of marriage (Transit Juno in 5th – commitment in a relationship, Transit Juno in 7/10th may represent marriage). Good sexual connection that lasts. Juno is also willing to make compromise and forgive betrayals. It can show problems with jealousy, especially in square aspects.

Ceres (1)

In general, Ceres is connected to pregnancy and the mother-child relationship. In a romantic relationship, it represents how you fulfill your partner’s needs, how you provide them with nourishment, nurture, how you care for them. It can feel very loving and caring, but at times it may repress the romance and feel overbearing, codependent, overprotective. It is also associated with jealousy and the sense of possession over the other person.

Eros (433)

What turns you on, your sexual drive, how you show your passion and desire for something. How your sexuality or sexual relationship with someone transforms you. Merging together with someone, turning into one - combined with Psyche in synastry it represents yin/yan. In the chart, it can represent your desirability. It can also show sexual objectification. Also connected with creativity, inspiration, creative passions.

Amor (1221)

Soulmate. Ideal love, compassion, nonsexual love. Otherwordly love. The type of love you give to someone without expecting anything in return. Selfless love, can sometimes be sacrificial. There might be deep-rooted attachment. In the natal chart, it can also represent how you deal with rejection.

Psyche (16)

How you can learn to love yourself with the help of another, the path you take that leads you to appreciate your beauty and your love for yourself or another, love that may not feel easy. Romantic obstacles, betrayals, jealousy. Rising like a phoenix after romantic hardships.

Anteros (1943)

Your response to your lover’s longing. Reciprocated love, how you give back love or how others give it to you. Romantic revenge.

Innanen (3497)

Fertility, sexuality and the positive expression of it. It can show a strong-mind, someone who knows what they want and expect.

Lilith (1181)

Can show any form of repression in ourselves, including sexual or the place in our chart where we have the most power. Boldly expresseed sexuality or fear of expressing sexuality. The wild person inside all of us. It can represent misogyny in men (in many cases, if aspected to Juno - the Madonna-Whore complex). It represents the type of women both men and women may fear. It can show power struggles in relationships, need for control over the other person while maintaining our own independence. It can represent the dark sexuality, attraction to the things we aren’t supposed to have, secret relationships/forbidden affairs.

Vesta (4)

On one side and depending on how it’s aspected, Vesta can represent fear of intimacy, chastity, celibacy, alienation or avoidance of relationships and focus on self. Fear of commitment. On the other side, it can show devotion to a partner or a relationship, making them a priority of one’s life, sacrificing personal wishes for the other person. A true giver. It can also represent practitioners of tantric sex and sexuality as a form of connection to something greater, ritualistic sex.

Bella (695)

Represents physical beauty, superficial attraction, what we find beautiful in others and what others find beautiful in us - aesthetically, it isn’t always an indicator of a romantic attraction.

Aphrodite (1388)

Beauty (not necessarily physical), magnetism, Venusian in nature. Feminine beauty. Romantic impulsivity. Ability to make others do things for us, drawing people in, having that sweetness of character that is likeable.

Sappho (80)

Sexual attraction that can be deeply emotional and inspiring. Can represent desire for same-sex partnership, particularly for women. Close-bonded relationships between women. What you bring into these relationships. It is also connected to arts, artistic inspiration, poetry. Negatively, it can show inability to form close relationships, create boundaries or separate romance from friendship.

Bride (19029) and Groom (5129)

In synastry, the link between the two can be a sign of marriage or a long-term relationship. In the natal chart, these two can represent the masculine and feminine traits of a long-term partner/spouse.

Hera (103)

The meaning of Hera in astrology in similar to that of Juno. It represents the spouse, marriage, but compared to Juno, Hera can be more reactive, more jealous, especially in times of crisis within the relationship. Can represent beauty of a goddess.

Bacchus (2063)

Polygamy, group sex/orgies, sexual overindulgence, free love, excess.

Tantalus (2102)

The forbidden fruit in our life, the temptation. What we want, but we can’t have, is out of our reach, etc. Wanting something so much, but it just feels unattainable.

Adonis (2101)

Strong masculine charisma snd beauty. “Alpha” males (lol). For people attracted to men, it can represent the type of man/male energy you are attracted to, the physical or personality characteristics of your ideal man. For men, it can be the type of man you aspire to be.

Lust (4386)

Sexual appetite, desire, how you express your desire, the people you are attracted to on a primal/physical level. Enthusiam for a person or a relationship.

Casanova (7328)

The way you conquer romantically, how you seduce. It can be egotistical, amoral. Similarly to Cupido, it can also show seducation without further intention. Focus on physical pleasure but lack of emotional depth. Love and sex as something that satisfy the pride, rather than the heart.

Cupido (763)

Cupido is the asteroid that draws you in to the other person, it represents instant attraction, one that might be highly sexual and one that can be quite vain. It can show enjoying the idea of someone, what they represent on surface or physical level. So infatuation. It also shows how you may initiate love. Blind love, childish love, showing someone love or interest without further intention.

Valentine (447)

True love, romantic love. It may represent sacrifices you make for love, love without conditions. Love that makes you offer to take a bullet for someone.

I will add more or make a second post if I think of anything else :)

If you want to find out more about your romantic life or relationship, I do synastry chart and composite chart readings, as well as a Love/Partnership reading which is a personal romantic horoscope. If interested, message me here or by email ([email protected]).

Amor Asteroid (1221) and soulmates

TheAmor asteroid in Astrology is connected to platonic love and compassion - similarly to Ceres it can represent unconditional love, one that doesn’t need to have a reason to exist, one that would exist regardless of the circumstances, but in a romantic way, unlike Ceres which is normally connected to a mother-child type of relationship.

Amor can show intimacy, closeness, a relationship that doesn’t have to be sexual, but one that carries a strong connection between the two people. Amoralso shows how we deal with romantic rejection - whether it’s aspected in anger (natal aspect to Mars), in isolation and loneliness(natal aspectto Uranus and/or Saturn), in victimhood(natal aspect to Neptune), in putting more focus on ourselves (natal aspect to Sun or Venus) or accepting it as a lesson, despite our ego being hurt (natal aspect to Jupiter).Natal aspects between Amor and Pluto, or the Moon can be a big sign of holding onto relationships(Moon) or them being life-changing, having big impact on us and our future relationships (Pluto).

Amor can also show the love that feels ideal to us - our true romantic desires, how and what we require to experience the highest form of love, to feel truly loved.

Here are the best Amor aspects to have in Synastry (in my opinion):

Amor conjunct the other person’s Sun or Ascendant, Amor in the other person’s 1st House

The Sun/Ascendant/1st House person has the qualities that the Amor person can idolize romantially, it can show direct attachment and romantic feelings that can evolve fast. The Amor person may fall in love with the Sun/AS person’s presence, their being. They can romanticize them, view them through rose-colored glasses (at times it can be quite Neptunian). The Sun/AS person will feel truly confident, appreciated, worthy and valid. They can view each other as their ideal lover, as someone who directly represents the qualities in the person they have always wanted to love.

Amor conjunct the other person’s Moon

This can give a feeling that it was “meant to be”. It can be very selfless, quite sacrificial at times as if even hurting the other person the slightest causes great pain to yourself too. The Moon person will feel like their true self is finally loved by someone, as if someone worships the part of themselves that they can’t seem to always love themselves.

Amor conjunct the other person’s Venus

This is one of the straight-out-of-a-fairytale aspects. It can show a very romantic love, a love in which both people, the Amor person specifically, are willing to do whatever it takes to please the other person romantically. It can show a growing love, one that builds up both people, one that allows them to live out their romantic desires. It can feel that the relationship was meant to be - even if other aspects in the synastry chart are bad, they are likely to come back to this relationship.

Amor conjunct the other person’s Descendant/opposite their Ascendant or Amor in the other person’s 7th House

The relationship will feel very reflective - they are likely to act on it or develop feelings for each other at the same time. This can signify a very strong union, a union that carries love for each other that can’t go away regardless of the circumstances. In many cases, it can be said that this is the type of relationship where both people are ready to take a bullet for each other. It can be selfless, the other person will be a priority, they will be an important part of your life you have to think about before making any decision. It is often seen in long-term relationships.

Amor conjunct the other person’s Psyche

This can show a love that is very emotional - very profound. It is not physical, not just emotional - it seems to come from a very different place. In this aspect, you are in love with the other person’s being, their soul. The relationship can feel romantically transformative, as if all journeys have finally led to this. The relationship will bring out both people’s intuition, especially when it’s connected to the other person - it can give a telepathic-like connection. The relationship may feel like the place in which the Psychic person finally allows themselves to be loved. They may learn more about themselves due to the relationship. It can also show that while the relationship can be their greatest strength, it can also feel like their greatest weakness, due to the dependency on the other person.

Asquare or an opposition can also be felt strongly, but it will have the ability to make the relationship a bit more complicated - there may be one-sided attachment, one person giving everything they can while the other may be more apathetic or passive, it can show a strong love that also brings out the Amor person’s insecurities, makes them question their worth, it can make them neglect themselves due to the focus over the other person.

If you want to find out more about your romantic life or relationship, I do both transit synastry chart readings and composite chart readings. If interested, message me here or by email ([email protected]) xx

Psyche

In Greek mythology, Psyche was deified as the goddess of the soul by Zeus after multiple trials initiated by Aphrodite, jealous of her beauty and upset about her relationship with her son, Eros.

One of Psyche’s tasks was to retrieve a piece of the beauty of Persephone, Queen of the Underworld. Curious, Psyche opened the box Persephone gave her. The statue of Thorvaldsen describes this moment. A vapor rose from it and Psyche fell into a deep sleep. Eros came to her rescue and managed to wake her up.

This marble statue, realized by the Danish neoclassicist sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen in 1806, is currently kept at the Thorvaldsen Museum, Copenhagen, Denmark.

I made this statue from a free 3D model I found on the Internet. I reduced significantly the number of faces, built an UV map, normal map and other textures.

Okay, here are some little paintings I’ve done recently, all dumped into one post, ha. They’re all Greek Goddesses; the originals are in ink, using the a brush for the linework, and are quite small, like only an inch and a half wide. Top to bottom they are Selene, the Moon Goddess; Amphitrite, the Goddess of the Sea; Gorgyra, an Underworld nymph; Psykhe, the Goddess of the soul; Elpis, Goddess of hope; Lethe, Goddess of Oblivion; Khione, the Goddess of snow; and Metis, the Goddess of wisdom and cunning, mother of Athena.
