Well, it’s officially the New Year. At least, in France ! And I could not… not do anything.
So hey ! One of the new fav that I did not expected while watching the movie : Bruno Madrigal.
It’s not my usual style, and pour cause, it’s a study of Disney’s style. And I have to say, I quite like how it turned out ! No lineart, for once, but I feel like the shadowing is steal faithful to what I do.
It’s badly cropped, too, because it’s just a part of a big drawing page that I… did not finish.
But I will. I swear.

Needless to say that you jumped when your girlfriend barged into your room obviously on the verge of breaking down. You quickly shut your book and looked up at her from your bed “What do you mean you’re loosing your gift Mi Vida?”
Luisa let out a shuddering sigh and braced herself for what she was about to admit to her girlfriend “the magic is dying, and casita is about to break, I can’t lift the piano anymore and everyone is looking at me to be the strong one” you nodded, showing that you understand and gestured to your bed
“Mi Vida come lie down with me”Luisa did what her girlfriend asked her to do and held back her tears
“If you look up at the sky during the night, what do you see?” You asked your girlfriend “stars” she muttered whilst turning on the bed to look you in the eyes “yeah that’s right. Stars. And did you know that stars are actually either little burning fire balls, or their own galaxy?”
“No I didn’t”
“Luisa, your gift may make you physically strong, but your family is what makes you stronger. If you’re feeling the burdens of that then you need to tell them or else you’ll implode from all the thoughts and pressure” you faced her, and started to tuck some of her hair behind her ear.
“I’ll love you, gift or no gift for the rest of my life, I want you to share these burdens with me. I want us to become strong together”
Luisa pulled her girlfriend into a hug that just about showed how the madrigal was feeling ‘she accepts my flaws, and she wants to share the heavy load I have- she loves me’ is all that went through Lusia’s head as she tilted your head up
