#mariano guzman
I was rereading some of my seer Julieta posts and now I decided that during the rebuilding of Casita Julieta bonded with her daughters by playing matchmaker with them. They were trying to get Dolores with Mariano and Bruno with Osma.
They even got Augustin to join in too. He was grateful for Bruno’s help during those ten years and now wants to see Bruno happy with the love of his life.
Pepa was a little harder to convice until Julieta said that it looked like it might rain on their wedding day in her vision.
Pepa, who made it her life goal to make it rain on both of her siblings’ wedding days after they flooded her brain on her’s, immediately agrees to help.

incorrectmadrigalfamilyquotes:
Mirabel: Dumbest scar stories, go!
Abuela Alma: I burned my tongue once while drinking tea.
Isabela: I dropped a hair dryer on my leg once and burned it.
Dolores: See this little scar on my arm? I got that when Mariano dug his nails into my arm during a sad movie.
Luisa: I have a piece of graphite in my leg for accidentally stabbing myself with a pencil in the first grade.
Camilo: I have a few scars on my arm from crashing my skateboard.
Bruno:
Bruno: I have emotional scars.
Part three! Of episodes I would wanna see in a encanto show
-Julieta is not able to cook at a big event so camilo decides he’ll try doing only that he doesn’t know how to cook
-Beach episode where the family goes for a beach day
-Lusia sisters force her to take a day to relax
-Antonio really wants to talk with bees but they seem to hate him so agustin helps him get in good with them
-Mirabel trying to find a way for the rats to get to bruno’s room. In the end she makes them a little pulley so they can come and go when they want
-The grandkids wanna put on a play and they get bruno to be there acting couch and he takes it way to seriously
-Dolores has her first offical date with Marino and isa gives her a makeover
-A magical infected animal is terrorizing the town so Antonio camilo and lusia decide to take care of it. Antonio wants to take care of the animal peacefully while lusia wants to take a more direct approach. Camilo acts as a moderator
-A traveling animal show comes to town (basically a circus) while the entire town is fascinated by the shows there putting on Antonio is trying to help the animals escape the cruel treatment behind the scenes with the help of Dolores and camilo
-Augustin wants to sell his honey in a neighboring town market so all the other adults decide to go with him as a weekend trip. Alma stays behind to take care of the kids which she struggles with for most of the episode as a b plot
-The family wants to have a surprise birthday party for Dolores but since she can hear them they have to write everything. The majority of the episode is just a parody of old silent movies
-Mirabel makes a friend with a girl in the village only for the girl to actually be after the families power
-Augstin taking his daughters to a family reunion on his side of the family where little know to them they are jealous of madrigal and are very cross with his daughters the entire time and berating to them. When he sees this happening he gets mad at his side of the family and leaves with his daughters they end up doing a activity they all enjoy together
-Mirabel asks lusia to be her emotional support at an accordion audition she has. Lusia try’s to make it to the audition but keeps having people ask her to do tasks she can’t say no to. By the time she gets there the audition is over and mirabel is very upset.
Bonus: bruno makes pop culture references that no one gets since they haven’t been made yet but hes seen because of his powers
(Once again I did not read over these for spelling)
he wants to go home
I am slightly confused about Encanto timeline.
The Guzmáns are coming for dinner when the sun is already setting. By the time they leave, the sky is dark. It might be partially because of the storm, but it is evening. I don’t know when Colombians typically have dinner or when the sun sets, but we may assume it’s anytime between 17:00 and 19:00.
During the brief transition with Cecilia, Alejandra and Juancho, it is clearly daytime, albeit clouded. Similarly when Camilo is calling Mirabel.
During “What else can I do” the light is softer, as if it the sun were setting again.
When Casita collapses, it is evening transitioning into dusk.
So, either Mirabel and Bruno’s segment took under an hour (for all of this to happen within the same evening) or the whole night and half of the following day. Wasting an entire night seems illogical when the stakes are so high, so it’s all probably the same evening and the “light swings” are the result of Pepa’s distress. Still, the way the light behaves throughout these scenes makes it seem as if somebody turned the time back an hour or two to experience the sunset twice. I am reluctant to give Pepa this much credit. Logically, by the time Bruno and Mirabel exit Antonio’s room, the sun should have already set. It should be night.
My autistic brain is having a processing difficulty.
More encanto meme redraws :D
And Bonus from the previous meme collection :
Also im sorry for the watermarks folks :(, you know i hate putting em but my previous memes has been reposted without credit too many times in too many social medias so yeah hjsnsakjmsak
First date.
POV youre Isabela Madrigal.
I’m Antonio. I’m five. I am a Madrigal. I live at the Hotel del Encanto. I have my very own room and a cat with spots like a jaguar. His name is Parce. And a bird. His name’s Pico.
Mirabel is my favourite pima. She’s works in room service. Mirabel knows how much I love. Love. Love animals.
“There’s Camilo. He’s my brother. Here’s what Camilo likes — acting. He wants to be on broadway. But for now, Abuela has him working in the kid’s room.”
“Mi hermana Dolores knows everything about everything. Which is why she works as the concierge. If Dolores has not heard about a new trend, it’s most certainly not cool.”
“Señor Mariano is my tutor. He is a poet. My Abuela is friends with his mother. When we have our literature lesson, he reads about love. Which I think is icky. Icky. Icky.”
(Tell me the Madrigal’s running an enchanted hotel in the gorgeous setting of Colombia told from the perspective of five-year-old Antonio wouldn’t be adorable.)
Everyone: *Listening to the songs of @laureli-amadeus-music and Or3o’s Turn It Down.* These songs slap! At last the Encanto album feels complete.
Me: *Agrees but also… patiently waiting in the shadows for Mariano’s poetic serenade. A song that purpos feels like it’s missing something until the final verse(s) when it’s discovered we’re hearing the song alongside Dolores who adds her vocals and sadness as he writes for Isabela. And her vocals are what makes the whole thing feel complete.
Another Encanto thought I had, I should probably keep the spoilers under a Keep Reading:
I really have to give props to Mariano Guzman (the man Isabela was going to marry).
He comes over at the beginning only for Mirabel to sing to him rapid-fire that Isabela is a “prima donna”, so he’s confused. And we see him gazing lovingly at Isabela during the “golden child” verse of Mirabel’s song, so he does seem to be attracted to Isabela.
Then he comes over for dinner to propose, only for the dinner to go completely haywire. And again he has no context as to why things are going wrong because he doesn’t know about Bruno’s vision, so to him it just looks like Mirabel isn’t feeling well. And he asks her if she’s all right, even though to him it looks like she’s messing up his opportunity to propose to Isabela.
Then he gets punched in the nose by one of Isabela’s plants, and then he gets punched in the nose again briefly during the “What Else Can I Do?” song.
And finally Isabela dumps him, because she never really wanted to marry him in the first place.
But after all that, he still helps the community rebuild Casita at the end of the movie, and he’s still willing to marry a Madrigal when Dolores reveals she’s in love with him.
In conclusion, Mariano seems like a really good guy, so it’s clear why Dolores is attracted to him.
