Julieta and Pepa know this about them. Julieta giggles at Bruno’s dramatics while Pepa considers zapping her brother with lightning from her cloud.
Augustin and Felix are slowly realizing the novella is about them.

-Antonio is a little shit to Camilo every day. Little Shit behavior started as soon as he could walk. Camilo took it as a challenge though so they have mini prank wars that no one knows about
-The more negative Bruno feels when performing a prophecy, the more negative the prophecy is. If he really doesn’t want to do it, he’s more likely to show you a vision of your dog dying than meeting the love of your life. The reason the vision worked for Mirabel was bc he started to get excited once he saw the butterfly
-Both Pepa and Dolores are extremely blunt, sometimes to the point of offense. They’ll look you in the eye, tell you your face looks like crap and walk away. Dolores does this because she Does Not Care and never will. Pepa does this because she cannot read a room for shit
-Luisa has very soft and fluffy hair
-Agustin can actually be incredibly smooth on a good day. When they first met, Julieta thought he was just a cute, clumsy nerd until one day he rolled up to her table, pulled out the cleanest one-liner ever and left her a flustered mess. The illusion was immediately broken when he tripped on air while walking away but she had already fallen hard by then
-Isabela, Dolores, and Pepa have days where they’ll meet up in one of their rooms (usually Dolores’) and gossip for hours.
-At some point in their lives every grandkid has accidentally called their tia ‘Mami’. Pepa and Julieta absolutely adore it when this happens and it usually leads to a lot of cooing and smothering kisses as the grandkid in question tries to escape with their dignity
-Felix is a chess grandmaster
-Pepa and Bruno used to beat the shit out of each other on a daily basis for literally no reason. They would be walking down the same corridor, share a Look and immediately start squaring up. It baffles everyone to this day
-Luisa loved being held but she grew very quickly and soon no one was able to pick her up or give her good hugs anymore. The solution Julieta was to lay Luisa’s head in her lap and gently stroke her face and hair. It works every time and different members of the family will do this if they notice she’s feeling stressed out
-Mirabel got away with absolutely everything as a kid bc she was so damn cute. Her puppy dog eyes were especially lethal since the glasses amplified them.
-Luisa has a love of reading that she got from Alma who read to her nearly every day at one point.
-No adult in the Madrigal household has ever laid hands on their children and no adult ever will.
-Every Madrigal has an extremely deep-set sense of loyalty, Alma and Luisa especially. If you can worm your way into their hearts they’re pretty much ride or die for you unless you mess with their family.
-Dolores is the type of girl to step away and call the cops if anyone even thinks about trying to touch her. But that doesn’t mean she can’t fight
-Isabela on the other hand will throw down all day and every day. As soon as anyone gives her a reason she pops tf off. She doesn’t even use her powers, just 16 years of pent up aggression and a slowly building tolerance for pain
-Julieta has said “when I was your age…” to her triplet siblings at least once
-Isabela can create sentient potato people because fuck Disney for cutting that out
-Pepa looks a lot like her Abuela. Alma wasn’t able to save any pictures of her when they fled but she often talks about her.
-Luisa and Agustin have daddy-daughter book clubs
-Pepa doesn’t actually need to feel any particular emotion to summon weather. She can just want it to rain and boom, rain. However, she can’t control it at all when her emotions get the best of her.
-Bruno is quite the fan gossip himself. He doesn’t usually speak much but he’ll listen in on the Pepa and the girls’ sessions and they do his hair
-Julieta can just touch anything edible and it will become magical. Her logic is why wait for someone to make the food and go around putting her hands in everybody’s plates afterward when she can just make the meals herself
-Pepa is one of those people that will say she can do something she absolutely cannot do and practice it everyday until she gets good at it out of spite. Because of this she is surprisingly versatile. It’s one trait Isa and Mirabel picked up from her
~Angst~
-When they were teenagers, the triplets promised each other that they would not outlive one another. When Bruno vanished without warning, everyone initially assumed the worst. For the next few weeks, Felix and Agustin glued themselves to their wives’ sides to make sure they didn’t do anything…drastic.
-Alma had to do things…she isn’t proud of in order to ensure her family’s saftey when the Encanto was risen, especially after the triplets got their gifts. Most people were more than happy to follow her lead but there were many who saw a naive young woman with three magic piggy banks. And they were more than willing to hurt to get what they wanted
-Julieta can’t heal herself. Everyone found this out the hard way when she tripped on Bruno’s stairs and cracked her head on the steps.
-Pepa accidentally killed a man with lightning once. Alma stroked her hair as her daughter sobbed into her chest and said she would take care of it. Anyone who asks about the man is told he left to visit family. Anyone who pries further gets a visit from the town leader. No one asks about the man
-Isabela had an identity crisis a few years before canon where she constantly questioned whether her family actually loved heror if they just loved the front she put up. This caused her to be snappish and cold towards them for a few months, especially Mirabel. She eventually made up with almost everyone. Mira though? Not so much.
Madricest freaks stay the fuck back or get popped in the mouth
-Dolores is the best musician in the Encanto. She can match tone and harmonize perfectly and has a beautiful voice. Her room has an orchestra pit at the foot of her bed that she practices in almost daily. People often commission her to play at big events
-Mirabel and Camilo looked veryalike when they were younger. They were impossible to tell apart when Mira took off her glasses. Dolores and Isabela were nearly identical as babies but the difference in hair texture gave them away
-Luisa, Agustin, Julieta, Dolores, and Alma are cat people. Felix, Pepa, Mirabel, Camilo, Antonio, and Isabela are all dog people. Bruno is a rat guy.
-Alma taught Mirabel the basics for embroidery and bought her some self-help books when she wished to learn more. She also bought Mira her sewing machine
-Agustin is so clumsy bc he’s straight up wearing the wrong type of glasses and no one has realized it yet
-The grandkids consider both Pepa and Julieta to be their mothers in all but name. And treat them as such. Because of this Isabela got many of her personality traits from Pepa and Dolores got hers from Julieta
-Camilo can also shift into animals and objects he just doesn’t do it often bc switching to an entirely different anatomy feels very gross
-Antonio’s love of animals started with Bruno, who would sneak into the nursery when no one else was around and let him play with the rats
-Felix taught his daughter everything she knows about music and they love performing together.
-Antonio is extremely intelligent for his age. Like, extremely intelligent. He’s less quiet than his sister but just as perceptive
-Both Dolores and Pepa are picky eaters so they rarely eat food that is not Julieta’s cooking
-Pepa is a fantastic dancer and Mirabel learned by watching her
-Bruno was 100% a Mama’s boy when he was younger and kind of still is. Alma did not spoil her children but had a soft spot for her only son
-Bruno looks so much like Pedro that sometimes it was hard for Alma to look at him without tearing up. Post-movie Alma is better at processing her grief
-Bruno had a lisp when he was younger and his sisters bullied the hell out of him for it but they would go apeshit on anyone else that tried to poke fun at it
-All the grandkids love playing with Isabela’s hair. If she’s sitting still long enough one of them them will just show up and start braiding it. She pretends to be annoyed but secretly loves the attention
-Post-movie Isabela gave all her dresses to Mirabel and she used them to make more frilly and colorful clothing for Luisa
-Luisa always wanted to grow out her hair like Isa but thought it would get in the way while she’s working. Post-movie she’s growing it out and wears it down more often
-Pre-movie Isa and Mira liked strolling through the jungle and naming different types of plants. They’ve started doing it less as their relationship became more strained and Isa started to really feel the pressure of expectations but occasionally Mira would point at a random house plant while naming it and they would share a little smile
-Post-movie they’ve been going on these walks frequently and Isa would try to recreate every plant Mira pointed out
-Julieta is simultaneously the last person to get pissed off and the last person you want to piss off. Many childhood bullies of Bruno and Pepa’s learned this the hard way
- Because of his future vision he’ll often see bits of pop culture that no one has heard of before. So he’ll often make a joke referencing that part of pop culture laugh to himself for a minute and then remember no one else got his joke
- isa is a asexual lesbian that uses she/him pronouns cause why not?
- When pepa and felix started dating pepa always referred to bruno as her “little brother” so felix was always imagining like a 10 year old. When invited over to meet her family he had gotten a surprise toy because he thought bruno was like a kid and was very shocked to see a grown ass man who he then found out was only 3 minutes younger then pepa
- Felix side of the family absolutely adores pepa family and thinks the magic they have is super cool. While augstin side of the family is very jealous of julieta and her families magic
- Mirabel is pedro reincarnated
- Dolores really enjoys silent movies since she can just not listen and still know what happening
- Mirabel can look at someone do something once and be able to do it herself with relative ease (she can just basically pick up most skills with very little effort)
- Camilo is a picky eater so he often just eats a bunch of like one thing at meals to the point there’s none for anyone else
-Luisa is lactose intolerant
- When julieta and agustin first started dating bruno didn’t like him but now hes probably one of bruno’s favorite people to talk to
- One time pepa insulted bruno and instead of getting upset he just looked in to her eyes and was like “October 3rd”. Pepa freaked out after that thinking she was gonna die but it was actually the day she was going to meet felix
- Felix and Augustin where both born and raised outside of encanto and moved there later in life
-Since encanto is so isolated most of the family only knows what going on in the world through bruno’s predictions
- isa favorite sweets are chocolates
- Mirabel absolutely loves rock candies, she has almost thrown up because she got a bunch for her birthday and ate them all at once

Pepa and julieta trying to do activities to catch up for the last 10 years with bruno
Since isa and luisa never spent much time with mirabel growing up they decided to recreate every year since mirabel gift ceremony. Mirabel is less then thrilled by the idea
Julieta and Augustin anniversary. Augustin has planned a big day but julieta has alot work to do so the kids decide to do her jobs for her
The girl grandkids try to have a sleepover and camilo tries to crash it
Luisa and isa both think the other has the easier responsibilities so they decide to switch jobs for a day to see who has it harder
The madrigal sisters go on an adventure which cause them to argue which is better brain beauty or brawns. In the end they come to the conclusion that they couldn’t have finished there adventure without all three
a village dance is coming up and isabela and luisa both wanna ask out the same girl
The madrigal family takes a day in the city where they get taken by bounty hunters so they can profit off there gifts. Augstin felix mirabel and alma have to save there family
The triplets get in to a huge fight and don’t talk to eachother for days until there all locked in to the same room and have to talk about there feelings
Mirabel makes her family play a dnd (parody) game with mirabel as the dungeon master
Decorations for an upcoming party are ruined and camilo takes it upon himself to investigate doing a noir film parody along the way
Ground hog day episode where isa is stuck in a loop of the same day since she keeps blowing off spending time with her family on a very important day
The grandkids are spending time in the nursery and are about to leave when mirabel notice her favorite thread is missing and makes everyone stay until they find it
Camilo finds out that Antonio is mirabel favorite cousin and tries to become her favorite instead
Unexplained things start to happen all over the town (things being kocked over, objects flying on there own etc) and people start to believe it’s the ghost of pedro
Mirabel designs clothes for some of her family members that she thinks fits there personalities they her family starts to give her feed back on how they can be improved but all there suggestions just make the outfits uglier
Zombie episode where the town villagers get infected by a mysterious illness getting to everyone in the town even the madrigals. When all seems hopeless the house releases a large burst of magic uninfecting everyone in town but also erasing there memories of the entire event ever happening
Part two to this post! Since I have so many ideas!
-Isa trying to connect with mirabel through embroidery and accidentally breaking a project she was working on for a long time so she has to get the other grandkids to figure what to do before mirabel sees it
-Bruno has to make some sort of speech in front of a bunch of people and he’s getting extremely anxious about it so some of his family tries to do stuff with him the that calms them down but it just makes him worse
-The kids arguing on who’s bruno’s favorite niece/nephew
-Lusia and isa being put in charge of decorating Antonio birthday and they have very separate ideas that more cater to there style than anotonios
-Pepa having a mother daughter day with Dolores
-Alma trying to reconnect with mirabel but only knows stuff she liked before she was 5
-Camilo is asked by so many people to be them at different places at different times that he starts confusing the stories together to the point where hes shifting as the wrong people at the wrong events causing mass confusion in the town
-Mirabel gets hurt in a way that’s almost fatal so her older siblings and cousins don’t let her go anywhere or do anything without one of them breathing down her neck
-All the kids getting sick and having there powers go haywire and the only adult around to help is felix
-Bad things start to happen around the town ie. crops dying, farm animals being eaten by wild ones, weather knocking homes down. Some villagers start to believe its because of the return of bruno. Camilo, isa and mirabel try to figure what’s the real reason is.
-There is a town event where everyone competes against eachother in teams of three. Each set of madrigal siblings decide to compete and get way to competitive.
-Antonio making one of those extremely complatied and hard to follow board games kids make. He makes his family play it and everyone gets way to invested
-Dolores trying to avoid spoilers for a book shes looking forward to reading until she can get home
-Its someone in the families birthday and this time they decide to mix up who usually does things for the party (example julieta-baking, isa-decrorating, Dolores- presents, etc) only for everything to go horribly and everyone that got assigned a new task does it horribly wrong
-Isa dragging her sisters for a spa day of sorts
-Flashback episode to the triplets teen years
-A sherlock spoof episode where things keep going missing in the village and camilo forces lusia to be his “watson” and the “good cop”
-The triplets first birthday since bruno disappearances. Both pepa and julieta want it to be a big celebration with the whole town while bruno just wants it to be a family thing
-Some one tries to kidnap one of the madrigal so they can make money off there power only for them to pick up mirabel. Mirabel messes with them until her family finds her
Bonus: sometimes when bruno is doing something where hes waiting for another character to appear or hes not the main focus you can hear him humming “we don’t talk about bruno”
Episodes I would want to see if we got encanto tv show
- Isa and lusia competing on who’s the better older sister
- lusia having to babysit Antonio for a day
-bruno trying to bond with all his necies and nephews
- mirabel needing to be two places at once and asking camillo to go to one of them but he also had to be at another place at the same time so hes just bouncing between these places
- the triplets going on a road trip type adventure
-an episode about the triplets childhood
- bruno having a crush on a guy from a the town over and mirabel and dolores trying to set him with him (with a bit of help from there siblings )
- mirabel getting a girlfriend/boyfriend and all her siblings/cousins giving them the shovel talk
- isa and lusia (once again) competing on who can get mirabel the better gift for her birthday
- camilo trying to help mirabel impress all the townspeople
-bruno trying to get on the good side of the town’s people and learns he doesn’t need there approval
- how felix and pepa met
- Antonio and bruno trying to put on a show with rats for the family or a festival but they can’t agree on the plot
- Bruno predicting something like one of his nieces/nephews dying, trying everything to prevent it only to realize it was a play they where gonna put on
- Dolores starting a business where she sells gossip she hears until it gets so out of hand that most people in the village hate eachother and she has to get help from her family to fix it
- camilo still being scared of bruno and bruno trying to make him less scared of him but everything he does makes camilo even more scared
- the kids are are home alone for some reason and they spend the whole time sitting in a circle telling scary stories
- felix insisting that there should be a “boys trip” and dragging all the boys in the house out for a disaster

Am I the only one who, after watching Encanto, uses “Clear skies” as a way to calm down? Like I know a lot of people see this as Pepa suppressing her emotions and not allowing herself to feel or forcing herself to be happy, but as someone who spirals a lot, like Pepa, I find that repetitive phrases or actions -like stroking a braid- to be incredibly self soothing.
To me, I think it’s less about not feeling these emotions and more of a way to step back and analyze these feelings with a clear (sky) head. Pepa has anxiety, and I think she would need these self soothing practices even without her powers. It is not fun or helpful or healthyto allow yourself to fall into a hurricaneof emotion when there is a safe way to calm down without a meltdown or a panic attack. No thinks it’s bad or unhealthy when she leans on Felix to cope, “Clear skies” is just has valid.

Young Félix: ….What are you doing?
Young Pepa: The farmers need rain and me being sad and crying is the best way for me to get rain without also bringing lightning. All of my hair falling out, being alone forever, having to wear colors that clash with my hair….
