There is nothing stopping you from making everyday life more enjoyable. Put on that piano mix when you’re writing your essay. Wear your cat-ear headband at work just because you love it. Take a picture of that cute flower you saw when running errands.
Life can be gruelling and there are many things you have to do, but please take the edge off of them for yourselves.

A little personal project I’ve been working on for the past few days:
A typographic poster of an Abram Games quote, with a typeface based on his lettering used in the famous “Blonde Bombshell” poster for ATS in 1941. Which is essentially a sharper, fully stencilled and more condensed version of Futura Black.
There is currently an Abram Games exhibition on in London at the Jewish Museum. Which I’m heading to on Sunday and very excited about!

it is amazing how much smarter the younger people I talk to in my job are, relative to the older people. it’s not just that younger people are savvier about stuff, although they are. they have a much better general understanding of how the world works. but they also are better at parsing fine distinctions between things, they are better at articulating WHY they think and feel the way they do about things, they’re also just better at active listening and paying attention to what you are actually getting at with questions.
