I’ve been wanting to do this for MONTHS! So glad I finally sat down and got to it. My master’s thesis is on lipid droplet proteins and their pathogenesis in hepatic insulin resistance, so I look at the intersection between lipid and glucose metabolism. There aren’t many schematics that have both in them, and if they do they get way too complicated. Here I’ve made my own, making sure to include the antibodies that we have in the lab so that this schematic can be really practical for me. Kept my 365 notebook nearby to keep me motivated!

December has been a hell of a month. My mom passed away after an 8 year battle with breast cancer, I travelled to two different states, and my boyfriend told me he loves me. I’m not sure how ready I am for 2017, but I’m grateful for the wonderful things 2016 brought despite all of the not-so-wonderful things that have also happened.

Day 28: Organized
I do try my best to stay organized, especially with my craft items! Not to say that they don’t sometimes look like they’re exploded throughout the house, because that’s definitely true! (Thankfully I have an easy-going husband)
➰These shots are from within my craft closet in our master bedroom. Someday I hope to have an entire craft room (bucket list item for our next house!) but until then, I am quite thankful for this little creative space to call my own!

I find this the most effective method to keep track of things that must be done. It’s old school but things are less likely to be overlooked when it’s up on this splashboard of mine. Plus, it relieves that burden of feeling overwhelmed.
