I discovered the original image by accident. I was, of course, looking for something entirely different. The Port of Audierne was taken by Gustave Gain around 1900. It’s in the Brittany area being on the Goyen river, a tributary leading to the Atlantic Ocean.
I tinkered with the autochrome by using a variety of Photoshop and Topaz…

Trying to figure out a balance for a style that’s both reasonable and looks good, this is what I came up with… It’s probably not gonna stick-
