I tried something for an art contest. We were supposed to draw an angel in Hell, or a demon in Heaven. But, with one constraint : put a toaster in the picture.

So you know I thought about Good Omens. And then, while I thought about hiding the toaster somewhere in the background, I found that it would be funny to, you know, own it.

So basically it’s two advertising for heavenly or hellish toaster.

Hello there ! Of course I can. And I did. And I took this opportunity to answer another anon request- Deceit in period clothing.

So, here’s two dark sides, in victorian outfits !

The scene is probably taking place in the late 19th century ; but Remus’ outfit is kind of outdated. It’s closer to 1840’s english fashion. I just had this vibe about him, deliberately wearing outdated clothes. And yes, Janus is smaller.

I really like the symbolism of Janus’ name. The two-faces god, a constant duality between past and future, beginning and end, night and day.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that I’m non-binary, but the image of the Roman god Janus is really appealing to me.

And as for the character ? Well, he’s my favorite in Sanders Sides. And it says a lot, when you see how great are every characters on that show !

So, well, all of that to say that I did a drawing.

So, well, here it is ! Hope you like it. I try to play with the original imagery of the Roman god, while sprinkling Sanders Sides’ symbols. For example, the two doors ; one directed to the Dark Side, the other to the Light.

I don’t really know what I was trying to do. But eeeh here it is ! Remus with Middle-Adge clothes, in a castle. Because why not.

He also looks nicer in that picture. Maybe he’s a light side in it. I don’t know, I just really like it.

Hope you like it too ! I may do other sides in period clothes, who knows.

Hey, I’m returning to this blog to let people know I opened a shop on depop and I’m gonna be selling my Sanders Sides merch as well as cosplays I’ve made on there.

I love the moment in DwIT when Thomas is trying to explain himself and the following exchange happens;

Thomas: “Virgil, I don’t want to do what he says!”

Virgil: “You mean you don’t want to act on what you think!”

Logan: “Virgil, enough.”

Remus: “Ugh, here we go, Virgil. Looks like Logan has reached his ‘listening to others’ limit for the day!”

I love this so much because it’s obvious that Remus is trying to separate Virgil from the others by playing to their weaknesses. Logan often doesn’t listen to the others, and even though in this situation he’s right, Virgil is still frustrated by him. He plays to Virgils weaknesses often. Like, when Logan reveals that Virgil is partially at fault for Thomas being so distraught and getting no sleep, Remus says, “Despite his best efforts, Virgil could never stop being the bad guy!” Which effectively makes Virgil feel at fault.

Did you notice how quiet and reserved Virgil is that whole video? How defensive he becomes at times? How many times you see a shot of him, standing silently and scowling at Remus?

(This is such an old draft I wrote but I never post on this blog and I feel like this can’t stay in the drafts. Clearly I was going feral over this for some reason.)
