Red Hood and The Outlaws.
my heart in a picture
The reign of Terror has finally come to an end. The current Teen Titans book is finally ending and the majority of people are celebrating. This book has done such a disservice to these characters and is one of the most infuriating runs I’ve ever seen. The books destroyed years of character development for Damian Wayne and also crapped on the characters of Emiko Queen and Wallace West. Plus the new rostor was pretty unlikable. I hope Tomasi is able to fix Damian’s character after this run shit all over the hard work he and Gleason had done with the character. It still upsets me that this is how this run ends. With Damian in a bad state. This was such wasted potential. I was excited to see this new team. But, it just hurt to see it end this way. I hate what happened with Emiko in this book. She lost that personality that made her special. Why did they go in this direction? Whose idea was it to have this book be this terrible? It makes me kind of sad to see how teen titans rebirth began and how it ends. On a depressing note where none of the characters have truly changed for the better. . Hopefully we get a relaunch in the near future with a better writer and roster. Anyways, I’m going to celebrate this run ending. But, I’m also going to hide in the corner and sigh knowing how it all ended. So much potential. I miss Damian’s former team where raven was on it. If they would have kept that team but added Emiko when Percy was writing her it could have been special. But, sadly we went in this awful angsts fueled direction.
Damian Wayne and Emiko Queen would have been great together had DC decided not to drop the ball and ruin it as hard as they did. The setup was there. The comedic potential of having Oliver be the overprotective big brother and the arguing that we could have gotten between him and Damian would have been funny. The dynamic would have been fun. Not to mention the potential crossover stories involved with the Batfamily and Arrow Family. I can imagine them at some sort of Wayne/Queen Gala and the press getting in their face about the 2 of them only for Emiko and Damian to react to it in a comedic way or something like that. There was potential to have some great scenes with Damian and Emiko connecting over their upbringings and how they truly understand each other’s situations. Working things out together and being there for support and such. It could have been great. Maybe one day this will happen. But, only time will tell.
In the meantime I think someone should write a fan fiction about it. Make it fun and entertaining.
