Sunrise miles with a happy doggo
Early morning 10km with my girl ❤️
Tumblr it’s been awhile. The last few weeks have been buuuuusssyy. But this smile is the smile of a girl who just crossed the finish line of her third half marathon in 27.5 hours. This was my first dabble in back to back endurance events and it was brilliant! It hurt, a lot, but I spent the weekend surrounded by the most wonderful people and learned just how strong I can be ❤️
Yesterday’s run was probably the last of this years snow runs. Happy girl and happy pup
Oh the excitement of new shoes I really am easily pleased
Run my little snow dog! Cold, crisp but oh so magical run in our own, deserted winter wonderland this morning. We so rarely get snow in Ireland, but it was magical this morning ❤️
And this week’s mileage is done! 58.6km for these girls.
41km in 27 hours for these girls. Currently training for 3 half marathons in 2 days at the end of February and wondering why I thought it was a good idea to sign up for that
Tired, tired girl this evening
N
Days off were made for exploring trails with happy dogs ❤️
My favourite partner in crime ❤️
Tough but wonderful mountain run this morning. My legs feel shredded, N dog could have gone for days.
The inclines were a killer, my lungs felt like they were going to burst, but oh that feeling of freedom-the day when pace and distance don’t matter, and it just feels right.
Back to back runs and doctors visits Back to training while also being back to antibiotics-the joys of yet another ear infection and bought of vertigo.
But oh it feels good to be back running into the sunrise.
Finally getting out to break in the new trail runners! Fighting a bit of a mental slump but got 6 hilly kilometers in this morning bringing this week’s total to 27km. Easing both N dog and I into 2019
And I think she’s happy to be back
2018 it’s been interesting. There’s been high highs and crushing lows. But 1700km has allowed for a lot of self reflection, discovery and growth. Here’s to 2019, hopefully with many more miles and memories, and a few more highs and less lows. Too much to aim for a hospital free year?
Be brave, take risks, every mountain top is within reach if you just keep climbing….
My poor baby girl life seems to be out to get us at the moment
A deep puncture wound means antibiotics, pain killers and bed rest for N Dog. My heart is breaking watching her in pain and not being able to take it away.
Fingers crossed for quick healing and god help us all when I break the news she’s can’t come running with me for the next while….
2 early suburban miles for Christmas morning with this girl. Short and sweet. Perfect way to celebrate our first year of many miles! Happy Christmas everyone!
I was told today I’m like a walking accident. It may be true nothing like starting the Christmas season with a head injury Different kind of red head today
@improvingovertime tagged me for a selfie! Yesterday was my first proper run in 10 days! I’m taking some much needed down time and trying to recharge the battery’s before my next training cycle
@weirdturned-pro@redheadfl@natemed18 you’re up for a SDS
Thank you to everyone whose tagged me in SDS and messaged to ask where I’ve disappeared to! I’ve been experiencing severe abdominal pain for the last few days which has put a halt to pretty much everything (poor N Dog is so confused at this non running lark!) off to the doctor tomorrow morning to hopefully knock whatever this is on the head! I have races to train for, I don’t have tome to be sick!!
