#teen wolf fic

LIVE

Cleaning up at my AO3 account & decided I’m gonna do sporadic fic recs from things in my AO3 History, while I enjoy rereading stuff. I didn’t even get an account until about 6 years ago & guess I didn’t set it up to track my History for while after. But even then I don’t read fanfic nowhere near what I used to 20 years ago. So I only have 28 pages, /shock/, but I went to very last & worked my way forward. I’m a multifandom person, but I usually get cravings for specifics, so I was suprised to see myself jumping around so much at first. Anyways, here’s a roundup of the earliest 12 fics in my AO3 History. Follow the tag #DodgerDoesFicRecs for more in the future.

Y/N - Your Name

Word Count - 1512

Prologue - Welcome to the Fun house, Blackwood.

Warnings - Death, filicide, swearing, all around shitty situation considering family beforehand.

Moving 5.3 thousand miles at sixteen wasn’t exactly my plan but it’s what ended up happening. No GCSE taking, no getting drunk in a field on the last day or after prom. Instead it’s a flight to California to live with my older sister. Although I guess it was bound to happen given the circumstances and the only place, I could realistically go without being put into a bad situation was here, Beacon Hills in the Golden State. As if being a 16-year-old isn’t melodramatic enough, being one with issues and a fish out of water creates melodrama for a good year or so. The drive from the airport to Beacon Hills itself wasn’t too bad considering I fell asleep whilst my sister drove, there wasn’t much conversation, I guess she’s still in shock considering she had a much different experience in comparison to the one I had, not that I blame her. I think something simply snapped in them, mum was always murmuring to herself in a different language, it seemed as if it was Latin and dad would randomly snarl at people. I guess everyone has their points, but theirs led to them filicide, whereas others just simply have a breakdown and they have a support system. Not killing three of the four children in the home at the present time. Although Bea has been living in our great grandparents’ old house since she inherited it and done it up. Yet I have a feeling with her being a successful author helps to pay the bills.

It’s only when Bea pulls up in front of the house that I feel myself to get choked up. “How can you sit there so calm Bea? After what they did to Alastair, Blaze and Harry, how can you not be a bit more of a mess?” I question my sister, tears rolling down my face.

“Because Y/N, I didn’t see it like you did, it hasn’t processed in my head like it has for you. But I’m here for you now and I am going to be the big sister you’ve missed out on since I left.” Bea explains and she puts her arm around me across the centre console and I rest my head on her shoulder.

“I’m so sorry Bea, I should’ve done more to save them or to stop them.” I sob out.

“Hey, Y/N listen to me, it’s not your fault one bit now how about you come inside and meet Apollo, he’s dying to meet you and I am sure he’d love to give you all the cuddles in the world.” Bea tries to cheer me up and I sniffle and nod.

I hop out of Bea’s grey Toyota and grab my bags from the boot of her car and follow her up to the house after locking the car behind me. Bea is already at the door and after unlocking it and opening the door, a Pit Bull comes darting out the door and jumps up on my front and starts licking me. “Aw, hello little fella. Aren’t you the cutest guy around here huh?” I say dropping one of the bags so I can stroke him, and I can hear Bea laughing. “Okay, Apollo! Come here!” He gets down instantly and retreats to her and I pick up my bags and follow suit to the house. It’s only when I get inside, I really grasp how big the house is. “Jesus Christ Bea, when you said that the house was a bit bigger than what I’d be used to, I didn’t expect this. Fucking hell!” I exclaim in amazement and the scale of the downstairs area and how cosy it is at the same time. All Bea does is laugh.

“Hey, follow me, I’ll show you your room.” Bea suggests and I follow suit and gaze around the house as we walk and how the walls look so clean and modern with different prints from artists around ranging from simple line art to intricate landscapes. There are few photos, but I assume she has a majority of them in her room. That’s when we stop in front of an eggshell white wooden door. Bea ushers for me to go inside the room and it has a little corridor before opening up to the room which is simple and has a double bed with a wooden frame and white bedding. To the left there’s a door that leads to what I presume to be my bathroom which also doubles up as a wardrobe as well. I find myself gobsmacked. “Like it?”

“Like it? I love it!” I exclaim and hug her.

“I know it’s not much right now at least until your stuff from England gets here but you can decorate however you want it okay?” I simply nod at Bea.

“Thank you, seriously Bea.”

“It’s fine. Anyways, whilst I am working tomorrow, I need you to run some errands for me and when you are done with them, I’ll teach you how to drive and maybe we can watch some movies? You’ll be having to start school when it starts up again in January, so we have three weeks for you to adjust here.” I give her a small smile and that’s when she leaves me to my devices. That’s when I lie down on my bed and stare up at the ceiling, what adventures will come to me? I don’t know. Will I meet new people? Indefinitely. Do I have a feeling that this town has something to it? Yes. Am I going to find out? Now that is an answer that I don’t think anyone knows or would be willing to answer.

——–

Falling asleep in my clothes from the day prior was apparently a bad idea since it made me feel dirty as soon as I woke up. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes I quickly shower and get into some clean clothes. Wandering through the house I end up in the kitchen and I find a list of errands for me to do today and underneath is another note to give to someone called Deaton? I shrug and put them in my pockets so I can get some breakfast before leaving.

Just as I am about to put the bread in the toaster, I hear Bea shout my name. “Yeah?” I question. “I’ve got a friend coming around so let him in when he gets here please!”

“Sure!” I reply and turn back to the toaster and push them down.

Yet just as they pop out of the toaster the doorbell rings. “I’m coming!” I pull the toast out and drop it on the plate before sliding towards the door and slipping back as I open the door due to wearing socks on a clean laminate floor. I fall on my ass as the door swings open to reveal a dark figure in a leather jacket and seems to have a case of resting bitch face to me. He looks down at me. “Hi.” He awkwardly greets and offers me a hand up.

“Hi, I’m Y/N, Bea’s younger sister. You must be…” I trail off.

“Derek. Derek Hale. It’s nice to meet you Y/N, can I ask where’s your sister?” He questions and I step away from him due to the proximity.

“I think she’s in her study, I’m sure you’ll know where that is because I sure as hell don’t. Now if you don’t mind me, I’ve got some toast with my name on it. It was nice meeting you Derek.” I explain and give him a sincere smile.

“You too Y/N” he returns with a smile and heads down the nearest corridor presumably to Bea’s study. I close the door behind him and head back to the kitchen. As I sit there eating my toast I notice my iPad lighting up with messages from Facebook messenger from my friends back at home. I elect to ignoring it and go back to eating my food when a shiver runs down my spine. Ha, it must be somebody walking over my grave. That’s how the saying goes right?

I finish up my food and head out to do the errands that Bea has requested. I stop by the animal clinic where I am met with a boy my age with an uneven jaw. “Hi, is Deaton here? I have something for him from my sister.” I explain to him and he explains that he’s just gone to pick something up from the shop, or store as he called it.

“So, are you new in town?” He questions.

“Let me guess you could tell from the accent?” I return and he chuckles.

“Just a bit, do you know your way around town?” I shake my head. “After Deaton gets back, I’m meeting with my friend Stiles, if you want we can show you around.” What sort of a name is Stiles?

“You know what I’ll take you up on that offer…”

“Scott. Scott McCall.”

“Nice to meet you Scott McCall, I’m Y/N Blackwood.”

This one is a little different, to me. It started as one idea, and evolved into something else before I just… didn’t know what to do with it. After a couple of months I returned to it and realized I had written much more than I remembered, and thought it had too much story to be left alone. So I shaped it into a third idea, if you will.

I’m not sure it’s the most fun or riveting story, but I enjoyed writing Derek as lost and confused about the next step in his life. I guess I figure a lot of people can relate to that. If only we had a Stiles to bring us some fun and kisses!

The first part is a bit heavy and can be uncomfortable to read, though it is in keeping with the tone of the show and there is resolution later on. I worried about it coming across as negligent and belittling of very serious situations that can be very traumatic. Instead of just forgetting it and acting like nothing happened, I made sure to reference the consequences of it throughout the story. IDK, I feel like too many times in fic, sitautions that mean real pain and horror are just glossed over and treated like minor events, when they can take a long time to process. Not that this particular event is meant to be that huge, more of a “Stiles getting in to shit again”, really. Honestly, the first idea was Derek first meeting Stiles when Stiles was hurt and then I agonized for days about how the fuck he could get hurt. I don’t think I’ll do it again. Sorry, Stiles.

I wrote something. IDK what I’d call this, sure there is very explicit sex, and talk about that, but it’s not porn so much as action to further the plot?

I had the idea of Derek finding out Stiles was a virgin the very first time they fucked, and it kinda went from there, how Derek would react, why they wouldn’t know each other previously, how Stiles would kinda be a dick about it. Like, he’s a twentysomething guy, he just wants to get laid. Then parts of the story turned into PSA’s about how sex, perhaps anal in particular, can actually hurt and it’s not all brilliant from your very first time with a stranger. It can take time, practice and patience before it becomes something really great. I know fic is escapism, but a little bit of realism is good as a counterpoint sometimes. Though I did scale back some of their banter, as it got very “frat” with an attitude towards sex that I’ve found many guys have but perhaps isn’t the most fun to read or deal with it.

IDK, I mostly liked the idea of them arguing about sex, while having sex. Plus, when struck with inspiration, one should always write before it disappears again.

The title seemed great, and I still love it, but it might give the impression of a very different story. Oh well. I hope this one is to someone’s liking!

Sunday Six: coming soon to an AO3 near you!

Hey, so, I hope to post my @fandomtrumpshate piece for @kalika999 THIS WEEK!!! (barring life exploding, of course). So here we go, one more Sunday Six excerpt.

__________

“When was he due at work yesterday?” Dad asks.

Erica shakes her head. “He has Tuesdays off.”

“His abductors probably knew that,” Chris says.

“Or they’re reallylucky,” Allison adds. Stiles shudders. What else could really lucky hunters do to Derek?

“We called him in today,” Erica says. She smiles faintly. “His boss thinks all four of us are dating. Derek hates it.”

“Obviously it’s hilarious,” Boyd adds, deadpan.

Finished the first draft of my piece for @fandomtrumpshate, so here’s a bit more of it.

———————-

Stiles drops into the chair in front of the desk and sits forward, clasping his hands on top of the desk. “Sheriff Stilinski,” he says with all the seriousness, sincerity, and anxiety in his heart, “I have reason to believe that a Beacon County resident is in danger.”

Dad sits up straight, all business. He pulls an incident report form from his desk and clicks his favorite pen. Then he pauses, looking at Stiles. “Which resident?”

“Derek Hale.”

“And what is the nature of the danger?”

Stiles swallows. “I think he’s been captured. Again.”

Dad sighs and puts the form away. He reaches into a different desk drawer—the locked one—and pulls out a notepad. “Tell me.”

Sunday Six: In Another Room

Here’s a bit of my sterek WIP for Fandom Trumps Hate 2021

*

Stiles waits a long minute, and then another, but he doesn’t hear Derek’s voice again. He’s tempted to write it off as a product of his over-Adderalled imagination. Then again, this is Beacon Hills. If Stiles has learned anything in the five years since Scott was bitten, it’s that ignoring signs of the ominous, the supernatural, or the all-around weird ends poorly. For Stiles. It ends poorly for Stiles.

  • A/N: In case you missed it, here is the first part of this story. Enjoy !

The police sirens reverberated through the streets as several cars parked around the pack. The officers, the coroner and even forensics were already rushing into the house.

« Hey dad! » Stiles greeted his not so happy father as he walked to them.

« Why am I not surprise to see you here ? » He ironically responded.

« If it brings any comfort, we didn’t really plan to find a dead body tonight » His son added, grinning at the end of his sentence.

« Can you please stop saying ‘’dead body’’? » Y/N told Stiles.

He gave her a comforting smile before turning to his father.

« Before you ask, we don’t know what happened. We just found her. »

« Anything supernatural I should know about ? »

« Probably, but we’re not sure yet » Scott answered.

The Sheriff took a look behind the boys. Y/N was still shaking, she could not keep her eyes focus on anything and she seemed ready to collapse any second now.

« Is she alright ? » He asked.

Scott pursed his lips, taking a step toward the policeman.

« She’s been through a lot tonight, could we … could we give you our deposition tomorrow so we can take her home ? » He spoke.

« Under any other circumstances I would’ve said yes, but I’ve got a dea… » He stopped when he saw Y/N picking at his words. « … A body and a couple of kids who found themselves in a house where they shouldn’t have been. »

« C’mon, dad, seriously ? » Stiles complained.

« I’m sorry but I’m gonna have to ask you to come with me to the station »

« Could we just bring Y/N home first ? » Lydia asked.

The Sheriff hesitated. He looked at the kids then turned back to his officers.

« Is Parrish here yet ? » He demanded.

Y/N instantly raised her head, the familiar name alone bringing her comfort.

« Just arrived, Sir » One of policeman answer.

Before he could ask them to call him, he saw his deputy urgently getting out of his car, not even in his uniform, and rushing to the pack. He didn’t acknowledge his boss, or even the teenagers around him, but just went straight to what mattered the most to him, Y/N.

« Are you alright ? » He frankly asked, checking for any sign of physical injury.

She faintly nodded.

« What happened ? » He inquired, turning to Scott for an answer.

« We were getting there » The Sheriff told him. « Where is your uniform, Parrish? »

« I’m sorry, Sir. I … I forgot. »

« You forgot ? » He raised an eyebrow.

« I just rushed to my car when I heard the call on the radio. »

The Sheriff seemed to ponder his answer before he turned to Scott.

« You three » He began, pointing at Lydia, Stiles and the alpha « You’re coming to the station with me. And Parrish ? »

« Yes, Sir ? »

« Get the girl to her house. She look like she’s seen a ghost »

« That’s an understatement » Stiles muttered, earning a small punch from Lydia. « Ouch! »

« Shut up! » She told him in the same tone.

Stiles rolled his eyes, already on his way to the jeep.
Before leaving, Scott and Lydia both turned back to their friend, wanting to make sure she was alright.

« Everything is gonna be okay » Scott assured her, patting her shoulder.

From anyone else, she surely wouldn’t have believe them, but she knew her alpha and trusted him with her life.
She thanked him with a nod before he left to join Stiles in the jeep.

« I’ll come tomorrow » Lydia told her.

« I’m sorry I scarred you » The young girl whispered.

« Honestly, I’m just glad you were not hurt »

She kissed Y/N’s cheek and turned to Parrish.

« You better take good care of her »

« You know I will, Lydia » He promised. « Thanks for calling me »

The girl nodded, ignoring the persistent look her friend was giving her.

« You called him ? » She asked, more aggressively than she intended to.

« You’ve been through a lot, Y/N » Lydia explained. « Just for a couple hours, allow yourself to stop overthinking everything and let him be there for you, okay ? »

She didn’t answer, only rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

« Good. » The red hair smiled. « I’ll see you guys tomorrow »

And with that she left.
The atmosphere was awkward, she didn’t dare to speak and instead followed Parrish to his car in silence.
They didn’t talk. For the five minutes the drive lasted, they kept starring straight ahead. She couldn’t stop thinking about the girl she saw. Was she really a ghost ? What was she trying to say and why did she scream ? There were so many questions rushing inside her head.

« Y/N … » Parrish gently called.

They had stopped for a couple minutes but she hadn’t notice, so engrossed in her own thoughts.

« Are you alright? » He asked.

« Yes… yes, I’m fine »

« You don’t look fine »

She pursed her lips and got out of the car without a word. As she walked to her house, she realized he wasn’t following. He was still behind the wheel, watching her.

« You’re not coming ? » She said.

« I’m not sure I should » He answered.

He cursed at himself when he saw the look of hurt crossing her face. Instantly, he opened his door and walked to her.

« It’s not that I don’t want to, Y/N. But you didn’t seem happy about Lydia calling me » He explained. « You’ve had a rough night, I’m not gonna stay if that’ll make you feel even worse »

She starred at him, trying to hide her smile before finally raising her arm toward him.

« C’mon » She just said, silently inviting him when she opened the door.

He didn’t waste any time and grabbed her hand, following her inside. He made no move when she walked to the kitchen, taking her jacket off and tossing it on a chair. He simply watched as she got two glasses and a bottle of scotch.

« Tea, coffee or alcohol ? » She asked.

« Coffee, please. » He answered. « … Should you really be drinking ? »

She rolled her eyes.

« Rough night, I deserve a drink »

He pursed his lips, not wanting to add anything that’ll make her angry. Finally, he went to sit on one of the kitchen stool. She kept herself busy, giving him her back. She looked stressed, almost scarred, and while she didn’t notice her composure fading, Jordan did. He worriedly kept his gaze on her, trying to read into her expressions.

« Y/N … » He called.

She didn’t answer, but instead kept working on making his coffee. He sighed, knowing it wouldn’t be easy. He got up, walking to the teenager. He could have put his hand on her shoulder, a small sign of his presence for her, a sign that didn’t represent at all what they meant to each other; but instead, his hand went to her waist as his chest got closer to her back. This was the closest they had been and both of them were savoring that proximity.

« Are you alright ? » He whispered in her ear.

She tried to ignore him, fixing the coffee machine instead until he put his other hand on top of hers in an effort to make her stop.
She closed her eyes, breathing deeply, enjoying the feeling of having him so close, of feeling safe for the first time that night.

« Talk to me » He said.

She unconsciously leaned back against his chest, seeking comfort.

« I’m scarred » She admitted.

He squeezed her hand, silently showing her he was here.

« What happened ? »

They stayed in the same position as she told him what had happened. She closed her eyes as she remembered the girl, alive to her but oh so very much dead. She could practically still hear her, feel her pain, her loneliness. She had tried to say something, to reach out to Y/N but all the girl could remember was her scream. She sounded terrified.

« I just don’t get it, Jordan » She said. « What is happening to me ? How did I saw all that ? »

« I don’t know » He answered.

« Do you think something’s wrong with me ? » She muttered as a single tear rolled down her cheek.

He took a step back and grabbed her wrist to make her turn toward him.

« Hey, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, Y/N » He vehemently told her, looking right at her.

He sighed when he saw how unconvinced she looked. He closed his eyes for a moment, going against his best judgment, and put his hand against the skin of her face. Stroking her cheek, with all the kindness he could mustered, he kissed her forehead.

« We’re going to figure it out » He promised.

« You don’t know that »

« I know I trust you. I trust us. There’s nothing this team hasn’t been able to overcome » He reassured her.

« Thank you, Jordan »

« I’m just doing my job »

He knew he had said something wrong when he saw her pursed her lips. She took a step back, reaching for the small cup of beverage she had prepared and silently handed it to him.

« Your coffee, deputy » She stated.

« Y/N… » He tried to apologize.

« You don’t have to stay. » She told him while busying herself behind the kitchen counter. « Nobody’s after me, I’m safe here »

« I don’t think you should stay alone tonight »

« As soon as the guys get back from the station I’ll ask Lydia to come »

« It might take a while »

« I’ll manage on my own until then »

He didn’t try to arg, he knew it would be useless. Whatever he had said to make her upset, he couldn’t take it back now and she fully intended to make him regret his words.

« Do you really want me to leave ? » He asked, almost fearing the answer.

« No, I don’t » She truthfully stated. « But I’m not a job you need to get over with, I’m not some cases you’re trying to solve. Nor am I a responsibility you need to carry »

« I never implied any of that »

She didn’t answered, remembering his words. She was too tired to have that argument with him. They had been there too many times, she had tried to make him admit his feelings on countless occasions.

« You’re relieved of your duty, deputy. You can go now. »

She didn’t wait for an answer and left the room. Shaking her head as she climbed the stairs to her bedroom, she convinced herself she had experienced enough in one night to be bothered by that interaction. It would have been too much to process all at once. She would deal with Jordan and her feelings for him, but not that night.
It was when she climbed in her bed that she noticed the small light outside her window. She took a quick look and saw the deputy in his car, still parked in the alley. He hadn’t left. Sitting inside the engine, he was guarding her house, he was protecting her. She smiled when she saw he, too, was getting sleepy. She almost felt guilty to have kicked him out of her house.
She stayed a while against her bedroom’s window, just watching the man, before she felt her phone buzzing next to her. It was a text message, from the deputy.

‘You can sleep now, I’m not going anywhere’

It was all the assurance she needed. She let herself fall back on her bed, closing her eyes, savoring the moment of peacefulness. She knew the day that would follow would not be easy. Questions to answer, leads to follow, worry to have. That full night of sleep would probably be the last one she’d have for a while.

She woke up a couple hours after that by a noise downstair. Somebody was in her kitchen and she knew it wasn’t Jordan. He wouldn’t have come back without her knowing.
She got up, slowly, and grabbed the baseball bat Stiles had offered for her last birthday. Trying not to make any noise, she walked down the stairs, hands grasping tightly the weapon.

« Geez, what are you doing with that, Y/N ? » She heard not far from where she was.

Instinctively, she screamed in fear, dropping the bat, the sound of it reverberating inside the house as it touched the floor.

« What the hell, Stiles ! » She shouted at him when she noticed who it was.

The teenager smirked, amused by her reaction. He walked past her, picking the weapon up on his way.

« Told you it’d be useful » He simply said.

She rolled her eyes, annoyed, and turned around. Lydia was fixing breakfast in the kitchen while Scott sat on the couch, researching something on a laptop.

« What are you guys doing here ? » She asked as she sat on one of the stool.

« Making sure you’re okay » Lydia answered, putting a fresh cup of coffee in front of her friend.

« And accessorily trying to find out what happened yesterday » Stiles added.

Lydia pursed her lips, glaring at him in a non-so subtle way.

« What ? » He told her, a pancake halfway in his mouth.

The ginger-haired girl shook her head at his childish behavior. Scott, still on the couch, got up and joined his friends.

« How are you feeling ? » He questioned Y/N as he put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

« Better. Still not fully understanding the situation, but less on edge than yesterday »

« That’s good. » Scott nodded. « They kept us pretty late at the station, otherwise we would’ve come back earlier »

« It’s fine, guys »

« By the way, wasn’t Parrish suppose to stay with you ? » Lydia inquired.

« Yeah, what happened exactly ? » Stiles added, crossing his arms on the counter right next to her.

« What do you mean ? » Y/N pretended not to understand, sipping on her coffee.

« Don’t play dumb with us » He smiled. « The guy was asleep in his car when we got here »

She knew there was no way she was avoiding this when she saw three pairs of prying eyes on her.

« Okay … » She sighed. « I might have … kicked him out … last night »

« Ouh, rough » Stiles joked before his friend kicked him playfully in the ribs.

He laughed it off before grabbing a plate and filling it with pancakes.

« What did he do ? » Lydia asked.

« Said something he probably regret » She shook her head.

« He stayed in his car all night to keep an eye on you » Scott told her.

« I know… It’s … it’s complicated, guys. » She explained. « I don’t want to talk about it. What happened at the station ? Did you find anything ? »

« We know who that girl was » Scott answered.

« Her name’s Anya Scortley » Stiles continued. « She was a junior at Beacon Hills. Ring any bells ? »

« Not at all. »

« She didn’t live in the neighborhood where her body was found. Her parents have been notified last night. They came to the station »

« It was heartbreaking » Lydia commented.

« They didn’t even know she wasn’t in her bedroom. They have no idea what happened. But she has a little sister, and she didn’t seem that surprised by the news »

« Do you think she’s involved ? »

« Can’t be sure for now » Scott explained. « What we need to figure out first is what you saw »

« What do you mean ? »

« We don’t know what’s happening to you yet, but maybe figuring out what you see will help us understand what you are »

« What I am ? » She repeated.

« Honey » Lydia carefully stated. « Normal people don’t have vision of dead people. Maybe it’s something that happened to you, or maybe something you were born with. We don’t know yet, but we do know there is something. You are something »

« Something else than human »

« Something more » Scott corrected.

He reassuringly smiled at her.

« Whatever it is, we are going to find answers » He promised her.

« But the only way to figure out what happened to that girl right now, is through you » Stiles said.

« I … I don’t know if I can » Y/N carefully answered.

« Close your eyes, and try to remember » Lydia encouraged her.

The teenager took a deep breath, already knowing she wouldn’t like the next couple of minutes.

« How ? » She fearfully asked.

« Forget the pain you felt. Let your brain go back there without apprehension. Think about blank pages, about writing her story. Moment by moment, write what you see, what she felt. »

Y/N slowly closed her eyes, trying to follow the instructions her friend gave her.

« I heard a voice first » She started. « I thought it was the wind until I realized it sounded like someone was whimpering. I felt cold and scared and it felt like … like those feelings were not mine. The more I focused on it, the more my head was hurting. And that’s when I saw her »

« What was she doing ? »

« Nothing. She was just standing there, pointing at the empty house. She looked at me and disappeared. When I looked back, she was in front of the house. I tried to get closer, and that’s when she started to scream. It was like … it was more than pain. She was in agony .. and I … I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. Almost like someone was stabbing me »

« Did you notice something else ? Maybe in her appearance ? »

« Hm .. she had … she had marks on her wrists. Scars. There weren’t knew. I saw it when she raised her hand toward the house. Bruises too, around her neck and on her arms. She was awfully pale and I swear she muttered something to me, but I can’t make out the words. I think it was a name. She said it with so much fear »

She opened her eyes, shivering at the memory.

« That’s … that’s all I remember » She told her friends.

« This is more than enough, Y/N » Scott reassured her.

« Is that how she died ? Stabbed ? »

« Yeah, every detail you gave were right on point » Stiles answered. « On a scale of basic to creepy, we’re on a solid what the fuck »

« Geez, thanks for the reminder » She rolled her eyes.

« What do we do ? » Lydia asked, turning toward their alpha.

« For now, we go to school. If she was a student there, that’s a good place to start » He informed them. « After class, we’ll go back to the station. See if they know more »

« Why do I feel there is more » Stiles added.
« We have to go back to the house, tonight » Scott told them.

« I was hoping you wouldn’t say that » Y/N made a face.

« We might have missed something the police didn’t see » Stiles agreed with his best friend.

« Everything’s gonna be fine, don’t worry »

« That’s the problem, Scott. I have a feeling something’s gonna go terribly wrong »

  • A/N: It’s been like, what, a year since I’ve posted something, right ? It was time I come back. I’ve missed you guys and I missed writing for you so much, and what better moment to come back than the beginning of fall!
If you like Halloween as much as I do, you’re gonna love this story.
I’ve apologized enough for my long absence, so I’ll just say enjoy, and I’ll see you soon. (P.S: thanks @emomilkyway for the idea and for the request :) )

« It always starts the same way. I’m alone, in the forest. I’m running, but I don’t know where to, or who I’m running from. I can feel the fear, it’s like … like … it’s eating me alive, like I already know what’s coming next. Then there’s Jordan, not far from where I am. He’s shouting at me, but I can’t hear. All I see is that awful creature in front of him. He has a blade in his hand. It doesn’t look like a regular blade, it’s shiny, and small… I know here’s ready to kill him, I know we’re about to lose the fight, so I run harder and push Jordan out of the way.»

« Then what ?»

« Then I die saving him»

« How Shakespearian of you»

The young girl standing against her bedroom window turned around to look at her friend. It was easy to guess just how scared she was. Her restlessness was betraying her.
Taking a short intake of breath, she starred back at the trees through the glass, barely visible at this time of night.

« I know what you’re going to say» She muttered. « That it wasn’t real, that maybe the stress of everything going on around us is getting to me. That it was just … a nightmare»

« Was it?» The girl sitting on the bed spoke.

« It … it didn’t feel like a dream, Lydia. It felt … it felt like I was standing in a graveyard.» She admitted.

She heard her friend sight and, once again, turned to look at her.

« Is it possible it could have been a … sort of a vision ?» Lydia wondered.

« I’m not like you guys, I don’t have any superpowers»

« It took me a while to figure out I was a banshee»

« Well, I’m human. Nothing special about that» She closed the conversation.

Lydia pursed her lips, not wanting to press the subject.

« Have you talked to Parrish about it ?» The banshee asked her friend.

The teenager shook her head, leaning back on her bed and starring absently at the ceiling.

« I don’t see the point. He’s … Something’s changed with him» She stated.

« What do you mean ?»

« He’s taking his distance» She confided. «All I get is formal greetings and non-existent smiles»

« … Did you kissed ?» The red hair woman asked.

Her friend chuckled.

« What ? What did I say ?» Lydia seriously replied.

« I basically told you we don’t talk anymore, and you ask me if we kissed, Lydia.» She laughed.

« Well, you guys were pretty close… And you kinda blush every time you catch him starring at you»

« That’s not true!»

« I think you’re the last one to find out you’ve got it bad of the deputy, Y/N/N» Lydia joked.

The girl next to her rolled her eyes.

« It doesn’t matter. Nothing is going to happen between us. Ever. » She sadly answered.

« How do you know if you keep avoiding him…»

« I’m not …» She stopped when she saw the look Lydia was giving her. «Okay, I might have tried to avoid him… for a while…»

« See, that wasn’t so hard to admit now, was it ?»

« It’s useless, Lyd’» She told her friend. « All he sees is my eighteen years of life. I’m just a teenager trapped in a supernatural mess he happens to be involved in.»

« Wanna know my opinion ?» The banshee spoke, laying down next to the young girl.

« Do I have a choice ?»

« Not really, no» She smiled. « He’s scarred, Y/N.»

She turned her head to look at her when she heard her friend chuckle.

« Think about it for a second. He’s a deputy, the Sheriff’s right hand. He’s literally the embodiment of law … when he’s not the hellhound.»

« Your point ?»

« He’s, what, five or six years older than you are ? That doesn’t seem like a lot, but you’re still in high school. While you’re in math, he’s out investigating murders. He’s got feelings for you, we all know it, but like it or not, he’s a deputy, and he’s got an image to keep up»

« Why do I always get myself into impossible situation, Lyd’ ?» She said after a while.

Lydia patted her friend’s leg and was about to reply when they heard a phone going off. Y/N grabbed it under her pillow and quickly picked it up.

« Hello ?» She answered.

« Hey, Y/N/N»

She recognized the voice immediately and rolled her eyes, already annoyed.

« What d’you want, Stiles?» She playfully replied.

« So nice to hear you to» He ironically joked.

« I’m kinda in the middle of something so make it quick»

« Is it a date?» He inquired. «Please tell me deputy sexy brown eyes finally had the guts to ask you out»

« Deput… what ? You … what ?»

Her confusion made her friend laugh. Curious to what was going on, Lydia got close enough to hear the conversation.

« Hey, Stiles!» She greeted him.

« Lydia ?» The young boy answered in surprise. « Wait … what is Lydia doing with you and Parrish?»

« I never said I was with Jordan»

« First name basis, huh ?» He teased her.

Lydia chuckled.

« Keep going and I’ll hurt you, Stilinski»

« Hey, don’t use the last name, I was joking!» He laughed.

« Get to the point, Stiles» She pushed him to continue.

He sighed, already hating the perspective of crushing their night with, once again, a bad news.

« You need to get to Scott’s» He told them.

« What happened ?» Lydia seriously asked.

« We’re not sure yet»

« Please tell me it’s not another monster …» Y/N complained.

« Or any other type of killer» Lydia added.

« Well technically no one is dead»

« … Yet»

« I’ll explain. Get here asap»

And with that he hung up, leaving the girls to wonder what was actually going on.
Without saying anything, they both walked out of the house. Y/N lived in the same neighborhood as Scott, only a couple houses down the street. They shouldn’t have taken too long to get there. They wouldn’t have if Y/N hadn’t stopped in her tracks, turning around and looking at the empty road, only lit by the street lights at this hour of the night.

« Y/N ?» Lydia called.

She didn’t hear her. Eyes wide opened, she seemed to be searching for something around her. There was no wind, but she could swore she could hear it, almost like a whisper, distant and cold. She turned to her friend, for a moment wondering what was happening. That’s when she heard it. Faint but clear. A voice whining behind her.

« What ?» Lydia pushed when she saw her friend’s frightened expression. « Y/N what’s going on?»

« Do you hear it?» The girl muttered.

« Hear what ?»

Lydia took a couple of steps toward her friend, looking around for any sign of threat. Her phone was already in her hand, the number of their alpha written on the screen.
Y/N’s heart was racing. She felt so scarred and she couldn’t figure out why. She felt a gush of air, the atmosphere suddenly chilling. She turned, slowly, her eyes on the concrete. The sound did not stop, only grew louder, giving her an atrocious headache.
She raised her gaze when she heard a door slamming. That’s when she saw it. Where an instant before there was no-one at all now stood a girl. It was no more than a distortion of the light, a human cut out of colors that weren’t right. She stood barefooted, almost translucent, her finger pointing across the road to an empty house. There was a sale sign next to it. The windows were all closed, all except one, and where the girl once stood, there was not a flick of light. One moment she was there, the next, she was standing in front of that house, her face completely passive as she looked back at the frightened teenager.
Y/N took a step closer, drawn to the mysterious apparition. No more than a second later, the air was rent with a scream that was so piercing she collapsed on the floor, hands clamped over her ears. The girl was no longer there and everything around her was spinning.

« Y/N!» She heard someone shout.

She opened her eyes, the memories of what had just happened shaking her to the core. Lydia stood a couple feet away from her, alert and worried. She hadn’t heard her friend making a phone call but Stiles and Scott were there, next to her, trying to get her back to reality.
When the alpha tried to touch her, she coiled back.

« Y/N, it’s me» He gently spoke, as if talking to a child. « It’s Scott»

« Scott …» She repeated in a whisper.

He helped her sit on the ground while Stiles took his jacket off and put it on her shivering body.

« You alright ?» He asked.

She shook her head, slowly coming back to her senses.

« Can you tell me what happened ?»

She started sobbing, the emotions way too much to take in. The alpha sat next to her, taking the girl in his arms.

« I’m scarred, Scott» She admitted in a mutter only he could hear.

« Scarred of what ?»

She did not answer, only pointed at the house, like that girl had done a moment ago.
Scott and Stiles looked back at Lydia, hoping for an explanation.

« I don’t know» She told them. « We were walking and she just … she just stopped. She was fine and she started freaking out»

« She’s dead» Y/N suddenly talked.

Stiles kneeled down in front of her, worry written across his face.

« Who’s dead, Y/N ?» He inquired.

« The girl. She’s dead, Stiles.»

« What girl ?»

Once again, she pointed at the house. Stiles took a look back then turned to Scott.

« Go check it out» Scott said. « I’ll stay with Y/N»

Lydia put a comforting hand on her best friend’s back, making sure she was alright before she joined Stiles.
The teenager watched them go, resting her head on Scott’s shoulder.

« Do you want to talk about it ?» He softly asked.

« I don’t know what happened» She admitted.

« What do you mean ?»

« I just … I just felt like something was wrong and she looked … hurt.»

« She ? Are you talking about Lydia ?»

She sighed, closing her eyes as if it would make the memories disappear.

« You’re gonna think I’m crazy, Scott»

« You know that’s not true»

He took her hand in his, hoping to appease her.

« I don’t know what it was … I felt scarred and I didn’t know why and then… I saw a girl, on the street. She was … almost … almost like …»

« Like what ?» Scott pushed her to keep going.

« Like a ghost»

« A ghost ?»

« Yes»

« Then what ? Did she attacked you ?»

« No. I don’t think she wanted to. She showed me the house. She looked so…dead»

Before the alpha could answer, Stiles and Lydia walked out of the door, both looking very alert. The red hair girl stayed back, a phone in her hand, talking animatedly to someone.
Y/N stood up, helped by her friend, hoping to hear it was just a very, very bad dream.

« We’ve got a problem» Stiles stated.

« What is it ?» Scott asked.

Stiles warily starred at Y/N, almost afraid of her reaction.

 « We found a dead body »

The teenager put a hand to her mouth, trying to keep herself from going crazy.

« What … what did she look like ? » She immediately asked, praying it was just a crazy coincidence.

« What ? »

« The girl, did she have long blond hair and a scar on her forehead ? Did she wore a red dress with flowers ? Were her nails painted in pink ? » She talked fast, she was one second away from breaking down.

Stiles looked surprise for a second and didn’t stare at her, but at Scott.

« Okay, now that’s disturbing. »

« Did she look like that? » Scott calmly asked him.

He didn’t answer, simply nodded.

« Okay, I’m not freaking out » Y/n told them. « At least not yet, but what the fuck is going on with me ?! »

« Well … honestly … » Stiles started before he caught Scott’s eyes and shut up instantly.

He cleared his throat, turning back as Lydia joined them.

« I called the police, they should be here soon »

« What did you tell them ? » Y/N asked.

« The truth. That we found a body »

« Did you say anything about … about me ? »

« Unless you’d like a one way trip to Eichen House, we better keep that between us »

They all silently agreed.

«  What is ‘’that’’ exactly ? I mean … we don’t know what happened except that Y/N just magically found a dead body » Stiles said, earning a look from everyone. « Touchy subject, got it … »

« How did I do that? » Y/N asked out loud. « How did I see her ? »

« See her ? » Lydia and Stiles spoke at the same time.

« The girl. She saw her … ghost. That’s how she found the house » Scott explained.

« You saw a ghost ? » Stiles practically shouted.

« Do you think it has something to do with your dreams ? » Lydia inquired.

« What dreams ? » Scott replied.

« More like vision » Lydia added.

« They’re not visions » Y/N insisted. « They’re just dreams. Nothing weird about that »

« You just officially enter the circle of bizarre people of Beacon Hills » Stiles told her.

« Jeez, thanks Stiles. I feel so much better now » She rolled her eyes.

Once again, Scott looked at his friend, silently shutting him up.

« Don’t worry, Y/N » He reassured her. « We will figure out what’s happening with you »

« How ? »

« That’s a conversation we will have later. The police is almost here »

And with that the conversation was over. They didn’t look at each other, didn’t add another word, all were wondering was what happening. Once again, they were up against something they knew nothing about.

Chapter 9 ofUnforgettable- Sterek Never Fade AU - is now up on AO3.

There was a rush of air; a cascading wall of swirling white noise that hit him hard enough to jolt him awake. His eyes flew open as he gasped for air, groaning and squinting as the light of day made his head ache.

The ground below him shook slightly with a low rumble, a quiet rattling echoing in his head as feeling slowly returned to his body.

Everything hurt.

He tried to swallow, tasting only the bitter metallic taste of his blood. He tried to move his jaw, feeling the resistance of the piece of cloth that was tied around his face, gagging him.

He tried to move his hands to shield his eyes, but the rough frayed edges of coarse rope dug into his wrists. He strained as he turned his head and looked over his shoulder slightly; his hands were tied behind his back.

Shit, shit, shit, he thought, feeling the panic flood his veins.

He squeezed his eyes shut, plunging himself into darkness and steadying himself. Whether he liked it or not, he was in this situation; panicking wasn’t going to help him.

Accept. Adapt. Act.

That’s what Deucalion had taught him during training.

His shoulders aches as he tried to adjust his position and look around. He was in the back of a van, the only light coming through the metal grate that separated the back of the car from where the driver and the passenger seat, dressed in black.

PSFs.
