The Millennials were next, with the Public Record in the palms of their hands. #eBooks

Preface: The devastation left in the wake of corporatism in much of the world was a war zone Even in the US it seemed like a war zone. The rights of individuals, their properties, communities, and small businesses were under attack, not mere metaphor in some cases. Solutions, some so simple, were suppressed in favor of archaic, toxic, and inefficient technologies Politicians enabled these policies and the results, and they worked a TV like a dancer’s prop, feigning opposition There were so many of us, and so few of them. Somehow they made us feel powerless. Perhaps it was the weaponry the constant trauma of fear porn, and the fake food, all helped along by the too slowly dissipating apparitions of TV projection. Regardless, it was a con. The Millenials were next, with the Public Record in the palms of their hands. www.war&veggies.com

Here’s a list of ways people all over the world can get my book. If…

whyThe Mary Tyler Moore Show is so important

the mary tyler moore show was a television show that ran for most of the 1970s. the show was so successful, it ran for seven years and produced three spinoffs: rhoda, phyllis, and lou grant. the show pushed social boundaries in the 1970s and played a large role in the feminist movement.

mary richards moved to minneapolis after breaking off her long-term relationship with a man who wouldn’t commit himself. she then got a job as an associate producer at wjm-tv and her friend phyllis rented the top floor of her house to her.

the show often dealed with sexism and other issues. with mary being the only woman in the newsroom, she has dealt with her fair share of sexism and is even paid less than a former associate producer after she had previously received a significant raise.

mary also puts her friends, lou, ted, and murray in their places after they insult and stereotype women over drinks with her, a woman, at the same table.

mary was often portrayed as a pushover but when the issues matter, she would step in and give people a piece of her mind.

shows like the mary tyler moore show that paved the way for the shows we watch and love today.

Despite the seemingly limitless TV programming options that exist for our entertainment pleasure, very few target the identities I have in a manner that are affirmative and validating.  However, this month, two shows managed to meet this feat.  Black-ishandSpeechlessaired episodes that touched on difficult topics that rarely are discussed as candidly as they should – race relations and…
