Also TOA fans who have seen the trailer for Rise of the Titans, because the Titans have in fact risen, it most likely means that Nari was taken by the Order and then that also means that Douxie unfortunately failed to protect her. And If the movie opens with that I will cry.

Steve was a bully and literally antagonized everyone around him in s1 of trollhunters and now he’s one of the more compassionate, kind, and emotional members of the main cast. I just adore the character development he’s had, just look at the way he runs and makes sure Jim is ok and is all like “I knew he shouldn’t have gone in without armor!” :’(
This is the main thing I smiled too big at from the clip. If you were to tell me almost 5 years ago that Steve, my absolute least favourite character at that point in time, would one day actually care about Jim’s safety and well-being, I would never have believed you.
The character development is so amazing. I love how Steve literally said “he should’ve never gone without armour, he’s gonna get himself killed!”. It showed how much he really cared for Jim and grown as a character.
Can you imagine if we actually see a part in rott where they have a heartfelt conversation?
Been drawing Troll Jim almost exclusively for so long I realized I didnt know how to properly draw Jim, so did a few sketches and explorations of human Jim post-Wizards! Still dont feel like I quite got him in my style yet but feeling happy with the direction so far. Almost there!

I can’t stop thinking about it. About everything that Jim gave up to save Toby’s life. His relationship with Claire. His relationship with Blinky. The world was saved. The Gumm-gumms, the Arcane Order, the Titans were defeated. He was free, at last. The magical world was at peace. He could finally graduate high-school and go on to live a normal life. And he gave it up. For him. For his Tobes. Because this life wasn’t worth living if Toby wasn’t right there by his side, living it with him.
I loved the ending, and the movie was pretty great and i think people are exaggerating in how much they disliked it.
That being said i would personally give the team money just to have them get back into the editing studio, cut out all the Steve stuff, and release that version on Netflix instead.
Seconded. It’s the only thing I dislike about the movie. I’d pay good money for an edited version where Steve doesn’t go through any of that. Hell, I’d pay ALL of my money to erase that Steve subplot from existence.
I’m going to be honest, even though I liked the movie, I just can’t get behind Steve’s subplot. I hate it more with every passing moment.
It was gross and forced and unnecessary and really dampened my enjoyment of the movie. I think about the rest of the movie and I’m filled with love and excitement, and then I remember the Steve thing and my excitement dies.
I really don’t understand who came up with this idea or why they thought it was necessary. Especially with the ending… Those children are going to be erased from existence anyway, so why did I have to watch that whole thing happen? It wasn’t funny, it was just cringe and undignified. I think Steve and Eli and Aja deserved better endings than that whole thing.
It’s the only thing that keeps me from loving this movie with my whole heart. It sucks. This was the last chapter, and we’re being left with such a gross memory of Steve.
Sorry for the negativity. It just bothers me so much.
I’m actually not that sore about the ending because it felt rather open-ended to me as to what would happen next. My biggest takeaway was the emphasis on “These characters are meant to cross paths and meant to be together as a team, as friends, as family”. So however that’s going to happen, it will. It also gives the fandom the opportunity to imagine that happening however they want, which is actually really exciting. The ending of ROTT was definitely a lot to take in, but having let it set in I think I can really work with it. What matters to me above all else is that the love these characters have for each other and the bonds they’re meant to build are powerful enough to transcend timelines and realities, and that’s kind of beautiful to me. Definitely understand if you feel like it’s a cop-out or undoes everything, but I don’t think that’s really the implication I got.
