This monthly column, “Junko Sophie’s Hidden Kyoto Vol.9“, has just been released! Junko’s essays are presented in Japanese, English, Chinese and French.
In this January issue, Junko shares with us auspicious foods for the New Year and the essence of Waka poetry. Her column features a shrine that takes us back in time to the scenery of Kyoto’s early days 1200 years ago, a radiant New Year’s Kimono, as well as lucky sweets and tea for New Year.
