This monthly column called “Junko Sophie’s Hidden Kyoto Vol.4” has just been released! Junko’s essays are presented in Japanese, English and Chinese.
In the August issue, Junko shares with us her thoughts on the daily wisdom of cooling down in Kyoto. Her essay features suggestions on how to enjoy the summer season, as well as photographs of Junko in summer kimono taken in the Arashiyama and a traditional Machiya house in Kyoto. She shares important lessons learned from a renowned Taiwanese tea master, as well as her experiences of visiting a shrine devoted to the god of water on an early summer day. 感動に満ちたひととき…これから自身が研鑚すべき道しるべを頂きました☺️
I went to Nara to meet a Professor Emeritus , the author of “Textiles”. It was a moment full of impression … I got a guidepost that I should make a profound study in future.
