Hi! I made this flag for people who don’t care what gender they’re referred to as/don’t care about their pronouns. I couldn’t find something like this, so I thought I might make it!

Nice, that’s a great idea! Thanks for the submission!

I know it’s been a million-billion years since this was posted, but I’d like to purpose a term for this experience:

Apaprogen: a label describing those who are apathetic as to what gender or pronouns they are referred to with.

Etymology

A portmanteau of the English words “Apathetic”, “Pronoun” and “Gender”.  Coined by Gent (Gender-Jargon), 2022. Pronounced “A-Pap-Ro-Jen”.

Here’s an example of the intended usage:

Ix is an Apaprogen. Being Apaprogenic, ix is apathetic to how one labels ixs gender or pronouns.

Being drained by a narcissist is the absolute worst feeling. To be discarded so hastily…. It is terrible. I feel violated. It doesn’t happen just once; it’s over and over and over. Narcissists are like a drug to the energy supply, like the supply is a drug to the narcissist. They can read, understand, and control your inner most thoughts and weaknesses. The emotional withdrawals after you’re thrown away are like withdrawing from a class A drug and can even cause physical symptoms. It is mind-blowing to me that these emotionless humans incapable of emotions really do exist. The entire mental disorder is baffling and terrifying. I only wish I would have known what it was before I was so carelessly caught in the path of one.

Artist Statement:

Flesh Blood Bone:

Animals have always been an essential part of storytelling, symbolism, and spirituality. I am continuing this tradition by producing works centered around fauna to tell stories that relate to creation, mortality, the violence of nature, and my personal life.

Flesh Blood Bone is my first attempt to acknowledge, and accept, aspects of my personal history that have caused me anxiety and heartache. As in my previous work, all subjects are depicted as animals. The series of narrative works centers around my immediate family, and the interactions and emotions that occur between the four members. Recently, I felt that I could finally address these feelings on paper. I have illustrated my separation from the issues presented in Flesh Blood Bone by depicting them as otherworldly, divine animals that exist in a habitat removed from reality. The four family members, which includes myself, become abstracted versions of themselves

I plan on continuing to center my work around aspects of my life and past. I am seeking freedom from my anxiety through my artwork
