/// This painting was inspired by the color, depth, and meaning behind the gemstone , “Labradorite”. This stone is said to empower intuitive messages you have into thoughts while aiding in serendipity, consciousness, and synchronicity into your life. While I do not process a big interest in crystals, I did form an admiration of this one in particular when I stumbled upon it one day. I then decided to alter a painting I had been working that already had layers of blue by adding warmer tones to resemble the appearance of Labradorite.

Wooden spoon carving project from my sculpture class that I added some decal wood burning to. I’m happy with how the final product turned out since I actually had to take get three stitches from an accidentally cutting myself with the sharp carving knife. I don’t know if I’ll be carving spoons again for a while because of that incident :)
It just occurred to me that I hadn’t posted photos of a few projects I did last semester so here’s one of them!

Here’s a little update on recent events
•Last week I graciously received an Art & Design Photography scholarship from my school’s foundation
•This week marked the completion of my Associates degree in Fine Arts at my local college!!
•I received payment for my first sale through an independent art gallery yesterday!

•Applications for upcoming local/regional exhibitions
•Moving and beginning my adventure at Minnesota State University towards the completion of my BFA with painting/photo concentration along with an Art History Minor!

I received an award this evening during my schools Juried student art exhibition!
