glad to know all kids have always been rascals and rapscallions
when i was a kid, we had these handles on our garage door, and we’d hang on them and go up and down until the garage door broke and my parents had to replace it
another time, that lead to me breaking the first bone in my body (my skull), was when we’d tie two scooters/non-motorised, wheeled vehicles together with rope and ride down a hill on them. still not sure how i didn’t die
at the top of the stairs in the house i grew up in, (and still live in), there’s this little overhang that has a railing on it so you don’t fall off and die, and my friends and sister and i would all dangle ourselves head-first over the edge and see how far we could go before getting scared and having to pull ourselves back
on that same property, we had about three swimming pools and a hot tub, and one of them that was about 11ft deep had this waterfall even further down, (probably close to 20-25 ft), that lead to another pool, and we’d often jump off the waterfall into the pool below
one time, before “cosplay as a character from your favourite book day” at school, i was playing with my friends and my sister, and i was going to fall head-first from the couch onto this cushioned ottoman we had in our living room at the time, but right when i was falling, my friend scooted the ottoman out of the way, and i fell head-first onto the floor and had the biggest knot on my head for DAYS. (still not sure how that didn’t break my skull, and falling on the street years later did)
Let yourself be a beginner. Start something new that interests you, even if you don’t know where it will lead to. Make mistakes. It doesn’t matter how you do it, at least start.
Hey, long time no post. I’m sorry for not sharing my works recently, I haven’t been feeling really confident about my skills lately and so there’s not much worth posting. But my friend convinced me to try inktober this year so I am doing just that. Some works I made so far I’m really happy with, some not so much. But I guess it’ll always be like this, not everything is a masterpiece. As you may notice I’m a little behind, but I’m planning to go through all prompts, just maybe not within 31 days
Calling all truth-seekers, mystery-solvers, and organization-enthusiasts!!
Right here, on the Maxine Miles tumblr, we are going to be running a different kind of fanart competition: a murder board competition.
What does this mean? Well, as you can see in the above “Week 1” murder board (or conspiracy board, scrub down - whatever vocabulary you prefer), with each new episode comes a new clue, and a new addition to Max’s board. But is she catching all the clues? Is she making all the connections?
We want YOU the listener to make your very own board untangling the disappearance of Riley Stevens (and any other Hastings mysteries that might come up…). Over the course of the next 8 episodes, we want you to listen carefully, come up with clues and questions, and add them to a board of your own that you’ll submit to us before the finale comes out. This board can be visual art, as ours is, a word document, a collage, a pinterest, a physical board, a slideshow…anything that you can submit to us digitally (or a photo of).
The makers of our three favorite boards will be emailed the finale an entire day early. After we pick our winners, we’ll ask them which ending they think is correct and send it to them on 4/19, a whole 24 hours before all the endings drop in the RSS feeds!
Okay, now for all the official rules stuff:
The contest runs from now until midnight PT on 4/14, but wait as long as you want to submit! We know you’ll want to be gathering clues until the last second.
You may only submit one board, but feel free to collaborate with friends! Should you win, you all must decide on an ending together that will be sent to all of you.
You must be 18+ or have at least one 18+ person on your team who submits.
Art can be stuff you’ve previously posted on here - just be sure to officially submit it through the submission tool
You must be comfortable with turning on your messaging so we can get your email address to send you your chosen ending (this contest isn’t associated with Tumblr and you’ll be giving your information to us, not Tumblr)
The boards can be any kind of visual art, whether drawings, graphic design, crafts, etc. Unfortunately, we can’t read fanfiction for this contest, but of course, written notes on your boards are very welcome!
All the submissions will be published on this Tumblr once the contest winners have been announced - by submitting to the contest, you agree to have your submission shared!
Everyone is excited for Groot, Peter, and Shuri to team up but I want Harley to be included! Harley is one of the best kids! He was our favorite before Peter came along and now everyone forgot about him! Let’s try to remember him! He made a potato gun guys how can you forget him!
