dog walking

“Can we go for a walk?”

He nosily pries,

As he breaks your whole heart

With those puppy dog eyes.

“Can we head to the park?”

He kindly requests

But you don’t have a choice,

As his pulling suggests.

“Can you please throw my ball?”

He softly inquires,

With no doubt that you will,

Till he finally tires.

When at last you go home,

And not a second ‘fore then,

He looks in your eyes,

and he begs you,

“Again?”
