Here’s my version of the beautiful and brave Fa Mulan from the 1998 Disney movie “Mulan”.
Mulan was always one of my favorites from the Disney renaissance period, she might not be an actual princess either by birth or marriage but she doesn’t need to be one…. she’s still just lovable and amazing! She saved an entire nation after all!
I also wanted to depict Mushu as a bigger more traditional chinese dragon flying around Mulan to give the picture a more epic vibe However do not confuse this as being “this is the way Mushu should have been” because I 100% love him in the original movie, he’s one of my favorite sidekicks!

My take on Princess Jasmine from the 1992 movie “Aladdin”. She is the first and so far the only Disney Princess who wasn’t the main focus of her movie and yet she loved by millions of fans!
I wanted to include her pet tiger Rajah in this picture because I love him as well!

New personal piece for me!
I was getting a little tired of all the “mostly blue” color palettes in my Mermaid illustrations so I wanted to try something different with a lot of yellows and golds. I am calling this piece “Sunset Mermaid”.
She is inspired by both Disney’s Pocahontas and Moana, two of my favorite heroines! (Also if you look closely there’s a small hummingbird next to her!).

A gift that I made for my friend Alexa anesthesia_monalisa . She commissioned me to create an artwork of a two tailed Mermaid months ago for a tattoo design and ever since then she’s been reminding of how much she loved it! So I wanted to create a new piece featuring the two tailed Mermaid…… this time she came out of the ocean to say “hi” to a small butterfly! ❤

Painting I did as a gift for and of the lovely @camellia.dreamer
I struggled quite a bit with the background because there were so many different elements to it. I think I could have simplified it more and created better shapes, but at some point you need to call a painting finished. I am quite happy with how it turned out in the end, even though it’s not perfect.
