LIVE

Hi guys, I hope you are having a great [Insert time of day you are reading this]. I’m really proud of this one and I hope you all like it as much as I do. Without further ado:

It takes a mere 60 seconds for an adult to drown. One minute for the water to claim a life. And when you are watching the person you love drown helplessly, it feels like literal hell. Lucifer would know as he was forced to do so at gunpoint after having already been shot once.

How did this all happen?

It was a case that started the same as every other case, with a dead body. It was a drowning with foul play involved. During the investigation, another drowning victim was discovered. Long story short, they were both on the same swim team in high school. After interviewing other kids on that swim team, you had figured out who the killer was and who his final target was. The killer was a kid who almost drowned when three of the swimmers took him out in a lake and flipped his kayak thinking it was funny that he couldn’t swim. His name was Ryan, and four years later, he was getting his revenge.

He was planning to strike again, this time at the high school gym. You were able to intercept his intended victim and cautiously went into the gym, hoping to catch him off guard. What you weren’t expecting was for him to have an accomplice who was armed.

“LAPD, Put the gun down,” you ordered.

“I don’t think so Detective, put yours down or I’ll shoot your partner over there,” he replied.

“Come on Ryan, I get why you are doing this. You wanted them to feel what you felt that night. What they did to you was cruel. I wish I could change that, but I can’t. But if you have your friend put the gun down, we can all walk out of here tonight,” you tried to reason.

“Have you ever drowned detective? Did you know that you don’t actually inhale until right before you blackout? The instinct to not let water in is so strong that you won’t until you can’t handle the excruciating pain from the pressure in your head. You try to fight it, but really it’s when you let it in that the pain goes away,” he explained.

“That night at the lake wasn’t the first time I drowned and they knew that. I was terrified of the water, but I thought they were my friends. And when they flipped me they just watched and laughed. Then they left me there to die,” he growled.

“I’m so sorry that you had to go through that Ryan, I really am. But we need him to put the gun down so no one gets hurt,” you replied.

“You’re just like them. You’re just another stupid popular kid, you don’t even see me,” he shouted and then redirected his attention to his friend, “Shoot him,”

“Wait,” you yelled putting your gun down. “My gun is down, you are in charge of this situation. Tell me, Ryan, what do you want to happen next?”

“Hmmm. Come over here,” he ordered. You took a deep breath and did so overly aware of Lucifer watching worriedly.

“Take off your vest,” he demanded and you did so.

“You don’t have to do this,” you tried. His response was hitting you across the face which caused Lucifer to lunge in your direction and caused Ryan’s friend to shoot him in the abdomen. You watched as the blood seeped through his shirt.

“Okay what next?” you gulped tears running down your cheeks.

“Stand still,” he said as he strapped weights to you. You watched Lucifer who was leaning against the wall grimacing from the pain. You had a plan, but it was absolutely bonkers and absolutely last case scenario.

“Okay now, jump in,” Ryan ordered.

“What?!”

“Do it or he’ll shoot your friend again, in the head this time,” he said.

“How do I know you won’t shoot him again after I jump?” you asked.

“I give you my word,” he said, not that that meant anything.

“Detective, you can’t actually be considering this?” Lucifer tried to reason.

“Do it now,” Ryan demanded.

“I’m sorry,” you said to Lucifer before jumping in.

The weights pulled you down to the bottom of the deep end. You flailed and fought against it with everything you had. But it was no use, eventually, you gave in to the pain and let go.

Lucifer was outraged as he watched you go under the water. He wanted to jump in and save you but instead was forced to watch it happen. When the water stilled he wanted to cry out but refrained. He knew that you were dead because he was healing.

In an instant, his sadness for you turned to anger. He walked towards Ryan’s friend who was firing repeatedly at him and slammed him back into the wall hard enough to knock him out.

“What? How? I-I don’t-What are you?” Ryan questioned as he edged backwards in fear.

“I am the devil. And the amount of water you will be surrounded with in hell,” he said flashing his eyes before he knocked him out as well.

He didn’t waste another second and dove underwater. He went to your lifeless form and broke off the chains allowing them to sink to the bottom with the weights. He then struggled slightly to lift you out of the water jumping out and starting CPR.

“Come on Y/n,” he said as he did chest compressions before pausing to give you mouth to mouth.

“Come back to me,” he yelled as he started the second round of chest compressions. He knew that he needed to call an ambulance, but he also couldn’t stop what he was doing.

“Come on, come on,” he said frantically as he started the third round “Please Y/n” he begged.

It was then that you started coughing up water and Lucifer pulled you up into a sitting position pulling out his phone to call for backup.

“Are you okay?” you asked pulling up his shirt as he hung up.

“You die and your first question is if I’m alright?” he laughed kissing your forehead.

“I’m fine,” he added as you were looking at him expectantly, “Are you okay?”

“I’m doing great for someone who just drowned,” you joked.

“Back-up is on the way, then we can get out of here,” he added wrapping his arms around you ignoring the fact that you were both soaking wet.

It was Dan who came in first, “Really guys, swimming on the job?” he joked and Lucifer shot him a death glare. Ryan and his friend were carried out and placed in the back of squad cars. Lucifer stood up and helped you to your feet. Your body was on fire and he had to support the majority of your weight as he escorted you out to the ambulance.

They checked you over and warned you that you weren’t entirely out of the water yet. They gave Lucifer a list of symptoms to look for over the next 24 hours and extinguished any thought you had of going to work the next day.

After what felt like forever, you were back in the passenger’s seat of Lucifer’s car. The wind making it freezing as you rode back to LUX. You then made a beeline for the guestroom shower wanting to feel warmth again. Lucifer was going to offer to shower with you, but he figured that you had been through enough for one night. Instead, he took his own shower and made you some tea and pouring himself a strong drink. He had come far to close to losing you.

When you came out of the shower Lucifer met you with the warm tea in his hand, which you graciously accepted. You climbed into bed and laid with your head on Lucifer’s chest just focusing on the steady rise and fall along with the sound of his heart beating. You had come far too close to losing him.

The next day Lucifer hardly let you leave the bed. He insisted on having a proper day off and catered to your every desire. The two of you watched TV together and spent the day in, which was a nice change of pace all things considered.

This is part 1 of 2 of Crash. It is a Lucifer x Reader Imagine. Honestly, I don’t know exactly how I feel about it, but full send.

It was a rare occurrence that you and Lucifer got a night off between your work at the precinct and the celestial drama that came with dating the literal devil. That is one reason that you were so excited about tonight. It was the two year anniversary of your partnership with Lucifer and your guys’ one year anniversary as a couple. Both of you had agreed to put your other obligations aside for one night. It didn’t matter if someone was murdered, if the streets caught fire, or if it started raining frogs, this date was happening. At least that is what you thought.

You were at your apartment getting ready, being interrupted occasionally by texts from Lucifer. He was even more eager for tonight than you were. He had planned the entire thing meticulously with help from Ella. He wanted everything to be perfect because tonight was finally the night that he was going to propose.

The old Lucifer would have never considered marriage, the thought of being tied down to one girl for the rest of his life, which was literally forever, was completely unappealing. He could never imagine wanting that, especially when he got to experience an endless party with all of the sex he could ever dream of. That was at least until he met you. He soon came to realize that one meaningful relationship with the right person was everything he never knew that he wanted. Sure, there were snags along the way, but he couldn’t imagine ever being with anyone else. When he thought about what he truly desired most, it was you. In a way, it had always been you.

He arrived at the restaurant twenty minutes early to make sure that everything was set up just the way he wanted. He took the ring out of his pocket and placed it on the table, then decided against that placing it back in his pocket. To say that he was nervous would be slightly underselling it. He knew that he had no reason to be, but he really couldn’t help it. He knew that this was going to be one of those moments that neither of you would ever forget. Taking a drink from his flask, he decided to text Ella in an attempt to make the time pass faster.

His phone started ringing which brought a smile to his face as he saw your name and goofy contact picture which accompanied it. He wasted no time answering it, “Aw, Y/n love, how far out are you?”

“Lucifer,” you started.

Something was wrong, he could tell by your voice. He stood up and went towards the bathroom so he could hear you better.

“Y/n? Are you okay? What’s going on?” he asked.

“It’s the car from the other day, it’s following me again,” you explained trying to stay calm.

“Where are you right now?” he asked already fumbling for his keys.

“I’m about five minutes from the restaurant, I went the back way. Oh god,”

“What? What’s happening?” he questioned as he ran out to his car.

“They’re trying to run me off the road,” you cried as the car hit into your own causing you to momentarily lose control and scream.

“Y/n? Y/n!” Lucifer yelled as he sped in your direction.

“It’s okay, I’m-”

That was the last thing you said before Lucifer was forced to listen to the crash. He yelled into the phone begging for a response, but to no avail. He reluctantly hung up in order to call 911. It felt like an eternity before he arrived at the crash site.

He barely put the car in park before sprinting over to your car which was upside down in a ditch completely mangled. Your car was smoking, which was not a good sign. Between that and how dark it was, it was very hard to see. He knelt down and tried to get a good look at you and the position you were in. He knew that the smoke meant the entire car was at risk of catching on fire and that he didn’t have much time to get you out. He could see blood but wasn’t able to make out the source of the injury.

“Lucifer?” you coughed, barely audible.

“It’s okay Y/n, I’m right here. You’re going to be fine,” he said as he used his strength to pull off the driver’s side door.

“Okay, I’m going to get you out of here. Can you put your hands on the roof?” he asked.

You nodded and repositioned yourself yelping in pain.

“Attagirl, now I’m gonna undo your seat belt and get you out of there. Ready? 3-2-1” he spoke as he undid your seatbelt and pulled you out of the car. He carried you a safe distance away trying to be careful not to cause any further damage, laying you down and gently resting your head in his lap.

“Can you tell me where it hurts?” he asked as he scanned you for potential injuries. It was then that he noticed the piece of glass sticking out of your stomach.

“It doesn’t hurt,” you breathed.

Lucifer carefully repositioned himself to apple pressure around the glass to help staunch the bleeding.

“Be thankful for the adrenaline darling,” he replied checking for any other obvious injuries.

“Is it bad?” you asked trying to sit up to see before Lucifer stopped you.

“You’ll be fine, I just need you to be still until the ambulance gets here.” he answered calmly.

“Some date this is,” you coughed.

“I’ve had worse,” Lucifer laughed.

“Why is it so cold?” you whispered. This caused Lucifer to frown, it wasn’t cold at all. You were in LA in July, it had to be around 70*. Regardless, he played along wishing the ambulance would arrive already.

“I don’t know, but here’s my jacket,” he said as he laid it over you and repositioned himself to apply more pressure.

“Always such a gentleman,” you said causing you to cough again. This time there was blood in your mouth.

“Okay, that’s enough out of you,” he quipped trying to hide his concern.

You frowned but couldn’t care too much, everything was starting to numb out. You were struggling to focus. Exhaustion was taking over your senses. Lucifer seemed to notice this and started talking to you again, but it was like he was speaking a different language. You could hear him, but you couldn’t understand him.

You were still conscious when the ambulance arrived and Lucifer hoped in with you. He continued to talk to you, but it was like you were underwater, nothing seemed real. His worried face was the last thing you remembered seeing before the drugs kicked in.

Why couldn’t one case just be open and shut easy? This is what was running through your mind as you were running after your latest killer. The two of you maneuvering through a construction zone. Luckily, you were not afraid of heights because that would have been a serious problem. You wondered how far off Lucifer was, secretly hoping that he’d show up to intervene sooner than later.

You were closing in when your phone started ringing. You looked down for a split second, which was long enough for you to lose sight of the killer. You continued walking cautiously, “Graham, it’s over, there is nowhere left to run. Just turn yourself in,” you advised moving closer.

That is when he came up from behind you and shoved you towards the edge. The two of you struggled against each other. You were able to hear voices nearing you and apparently he did as well as he pulled you up near the edge and held you by the throat with your sidearm forced against the side of your head.

“Don’t come any closer or I’ll shoot her, I swear I’ll do it,” he yelled desperately.

“Okay Graham, just calm down. We don’t want anyone to get hurt here,” Dan answered calmly edging just into your line of sight.

“I can’t go to jail, I can’t,” Graham urged.

You were analyzing the situation trying to figure a way out of it. There was no way that you were disarming him, the two of you were too close to the edge for you to try any physical maneuvers. He was already becoming unstable which meant he was becoming less and less unpredictable. While realizing the bleakness of it all, you just wished that Lucifer was there.

“Graham, I need you to let go of the detective. Do that and we can talk about this, I promise,” Dan tried to reason.

“I-I can’t. Oh God, how did this happen? I didn’t mean for this- This isn’t me,” Graham spiraled, his grip on your neck tightening, making it harder to breath. It was then that you noticed Lucifer, you could see the worry in his eyes as he assessed what was going on.

“Graham, it’s going to be okay. Look at me, no gun, I’m not going to hurt you,” he tried, taking a step towards the two of you. Graham watched him, tears running down his face as he realized for the first time how screwed he actually was.

“You’ve got the gun, you have the power. Just let the detective go,” he coaxed not daring to break eye contact for even a second. Graham started to release his grip on you, at least enough that you could breathe freely.

“That’s it Graham, just release the Detective,” he repeated calmly taking another step towards the two of you.

That was all it took to set Graham off. He whispered, “I’m sorry,” before shoving you over the edge and making a run for it. He made it three steps before Dan shot him in the shoulder and two of the officers cuffed him.

Lucifer watched as it happened lunging towards you, but he wasn’t fast enough. He screamed your name and then sprinted down to where you were absolutely terrified that he had lost you. When he made his way down, the sight made him want to throw up. Your body was still, too still. There was blood that he couldn’t place. The entire thing looked surreal. He checked for your pulse and put his ear to your mouth listening for your breathing. All the while praying to his father that it was there and that you weren’t —-.

Dan came close behind him calling for the medics and warning Lucifer not to move you. Lucifer was internally freaking out to the point that he barely noticed him. All that he could focus on was you. He had to be pulled away when the medics arrived and couldn’t even focus on the words they were saying. He just watched them swarm around you hooking up monitors and applying braces. He was at a complete loss. He didn’t take his eyes off of you once until they loaded you into the ambulance.

“Sir! Are you riding with?” one of the medics asked.

“Wh-what?” Lucifer asked snapping out of it.

“Are you riding with?” she repeated.

“Yes,” he said before climbing in with you.

“No response,” “Glasgow Coma 6”, “Potential Hemorrhage,”

Lucifer heard the words and reached for your hand willing you to be okay. You  arrived to the hospital and were rolled away frantically by a plethera of nurses and doctors. Lucifer was left standing in the hallway as you were taken to the trauma wing. There were tears in his eyes as he watched you disappear out of sight. To those who saw him, he looked like a lost puppy whose bone was just stolen.

Dan and Ella rushed to the hospital, Ella called Maze who called Linda who called Amenadiel. Everyone arrived separately and tried to reassure Lucifer that everything was going to be fine, but he wouldn’t believe them until you were back in his arms and he could hear your laugh.

After what felt like an eternity later, your doctor finally came out.

“Is anyone here for Miss Y/f/n Y/l/n?” she asked.

“I’m her boyfriend and partner,” Lucifer said as he stood up. The others also came over to hear what was going on.

“Her injuries were more severe than we first thought. We were able to alleviate the pressure and stop the bleeding in her brain. She was placed in a medically induced coma to allow the inflammation to go down. We won’t know the full extent of her condition until she is awake. She’s quite lucky to even be alive,” the doctor explained.

“Can we see her?” Maze asked.

“She’s in the ICU right now and can’t have visitors. In the morning, we will be moving her to a private room and reducing her sedatives. You should all go home and get some rest and come back then,” she answered before excusing herself back to work.

Everyone was a little disheartened by the news, but no one more than Lucifer. “Lucky to even be alive,” he repeated in disbelief. If only he would have got there sooner, maybe this could have all been prevented.

“But she is, and that is what is important brother. She will be fine, Y/n is strong. You know that,” Amenadiel reassured resting a hand on his shoulder.

“Yeah, Y/n is one of the strongest humans I know,” Maze added.

“I just wish-” Lucifer started.

“Don’t do that. Don’t blame yourself for this. Don’t think about what you would do differently. It’s not healthy,” Linda interrupted.

“I can’t help it,” he said staring off and replaying the scene in his head again.

“You should all go home, I will stay with Luci and make sure everything is okay,” Amenadiel spoke.

“I’m not leaving,” Maze stated sitting down next to Lucifer.

Linda, Dan, and Ella reluctantly left knowing that there wasn’t anything that they’d be able to do until morning anyways.

It was a long night, but none of the celestial beings moved from their seats. They just sat and waited. The small talk didn’t last long before a comfortable silence took over. Maze and Amenadiel were just as worried about Lucifer as they were you. They knew that he would be more than devastated if something happened to you.

It wasn’t until 10 am the next day that the nurse came and led Lucifer back to your room. He paused for a moment outside your door. He knew that once he opened it he would have to face reality and there would be no turning back. He took a deep breath and opened the door.

There you were, a hospital gown where your uniform had been. A bandage secured firmly around your head and a tube that was allowing you to breath sticking out of your throat. You looked helpless which was not something Lucifer had seen before.

He felt awkward and out of place, not knowing what he should do exactly. He was nervous, which didn’t really make sense to him considering you were unconscious. It was all too much for him, seeing you like that. He took a seat beside you and took your hand, but even that felt off. He wanted to be there for you, but he didn’t know how to be.

Everyone else trickled in and out, all talking to you. Dan explained that Graham was locked up for good and how the cases were waiting for you whenever you were ready. Ella had brought in a bag of your clothes from Lux and explained how she made sure that your car made it back from the scene. Maze lovingly threatened you. And Amenadiel wished you well. Finally, it was just Linda and Lucifer in your room.

“Why do they do that?” he asked staring at your hand.

“Why do they do what?” she asked.

“Why do they all talk to her like there is nothing wrong?”

“Well, some people have to normalize situations in order to cope. It is also believed that coma patients are aware of their surroundings. Have you not talked to her?” she asked.

“I don’t even know what to say,” he answered.

“Maybe it would help if you close your eyes and pretend that the two of you were back at LUX? Just a normal day. I’ll give you the room,” she replied, placing her hand on his shoulder.

He sat there for a minute, just thinking before he gave in and tried it, closing his eyes. “Wow, this is absurd. Me. Lucifer Morningstar at a loss for words,” he joked.

“I don’t know what to say. Linda said to close my eyes and pretend this is a conversation between us at LUX. Which I am, but you wouldn’t know that because you are unconscious. I don’t know how I am supposed to pretend that everything is okay when we are where we are. It’s my fault, we shouldn’t have split up. I just- and when I saw him with a gun to your head. But then I watched you fall and I thought you were-,” he revealed so caught up in the moment he hadn’t even noticed you squeezing his hand.

You tried to say something and started freaking out still not entirely aware of the fact that you were intubated. The sudden change in your stats not only caught Lucifer’s attention, a look of relief and worry taking over his face, but also caught the attention of the nurses who rushed in and forced him out.

After what felt like an eternity, he was allowed back in your room. You were propped up more, breathing on your own, clearly worn out. The nurse informed Lucifer that you were mostly fine, and just needed to take it easy and rest. Overtaken by the good news, he pulled her into a hug.

“Wow, you moved on already,” he heard you joke softly. His chest felt like it was going to burst with relief.

“Come now Darling, you know no one will ever replace you,” he said smoothly as he went to your side, “how are you feeling?”

“Better now that you are here.”

“Well, I do tend to have that affect in people,” he smiled.

“Graham?”

“In custody. He will be locked up for the rest of his life. He’s lucky you’re okay otherwise that would have been the least of his problems.”

“Lucifer…”

“Don’t Lucifer me, if not me, Maize would have taken care of him. He almost–” but Lucifer couldn’t finish that thought.

“But he didn’t. And I’m fine. See,” you interrupted doing small jazz hands at the end.

“I love you, you know that?”

“Well I would hope so at this point,” you laughed before adding, “I love you too Lucifer.”

“Are you sure there isn’t anything you need? Anything I can get you?”

“No, I have everything I need right here,” you said through a new wave of exhaustion.

Lucifer, picking up on this, replied softly, “Get some rest, I’ll be right here when you wake up.”

A soft rap of knuckles sounded from the other side of the door to your bedroom. It wasn’t unusual to have one of the brothers visit you, in fact it was surprising that you had managed to spend the past two hours alone. You called out and waited several moments for the door to open, but no one answered. Your brows furrowed as you left the book you had been reading on the bed and checked the hallway to see who was visiting.

No one stood on the other side of the door, nor was there anyone in the hallway or kitchen next door. Frowning, you turned to return to your schoolwork. As you went to close the door your attention caught on a deep red envelope tucked against the bottom of the door frame just outside. It was light in weight and had your name written across the front in a beautiful, scrolling print you immediately recognized as belonging to Lucifer.

How curious.

Settling on the edge of your bed you carefully peel back the wax stamped to keep the envelope closed and pull the parchment from within. The room fills with the scent of vetiver and dark rum, prompting you to push the letter to your nose to get more of the alluring fragrance. The dark strength. The power and control. The intrigue. It smells just like Lucifer.

MC,

I am not quite sure why I am taking the time to write to you today. I simply could not pull my thoughts away from you. Perhaps this letter will help me to regain my focus. You are very distracting, you know. The sound of your laughter carries through the house, calling to me. It is nice to live in a home so filled with your joy. Especially with how easily that happiness extends to my brothers as well.

It is almost autumn in the human world. I always enjoyed the way their world looked during those chilly months. Did you enjoy the fall season when you still lived in the mortal realm? I cannot help but wonder if you miss being there. I hope not. My brothers like having you here with us.

Perhaps we should visit, enjoy all that the season has to offer. You would drag me to do the most ridiculous things, I can imagine. It would be worth it to see you smile at me the way you do my brothers.

Would you like that? To take a weekend and steal away to the mortal realm with me?

It’s decided then, I will plan everything. Just be ready to leave next Saturday morning. Early, MC. I want to make the most of every moment I can spend with you.

Until then,

Lucifer

Well that was.. Chaotic and unexpected. Lucifer was making time to take you home for a weekend. Lucifer- the demon who can barely make time to take care of himself outside of his duties as Diavolo’s second. Your heart beats a little harder against your chest as a soft smile graces your lips. ‘Almost seems like you actually like me’, you muse as you refold the letter and return it to the envelope.

Tucking the letter into your desk drawer you grabbed your phone from your hoodie pocket. A trip to the surface with the avatar of Pride would require a few additions to your wardrobe, and shopping alone was never any fun.

“Well hello darling, miss me already?” Asmo purred, picking up after the first ring when you called him. His flirting was shameless and confident, and it never failed to bring heat to your cheeks. Just being around him boosts your own confidence. It was difficult to doubt yourself with the avatar of Lust himself constantly reminding you just how enchanting he finds you to be.

“I always miss you, Asmo. Care to rectify my longing with a little shopping?”

“I’m always available to go shopping with you. Meet me in the foyer in half an hour?”

“Sounds perfect, handsome! See you then!” Hanging up the phone, you quickly changed into clothes more suited to a day at the shops with Asmo.

Thirty minutes later you were headed out of the House of Lamentation and into town with your arm intertwined with a flirty, champagne haired demon.

“So are we looking for anything specific or was this just an excuse to get me alone?” Asmo wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, bringing laughter spilling from your lips.

“Can I say both? I need something nice to wear for…” You paused, contemplating whether Lucifer would want you to reveal his plans to his brothers. That always ran the risk of them either conning their way into joining or just crashing the getaway.

“For your trip to the human realm with Lucifer?” Asmo supplied.

“Exactly! Sorry I wasn’t sure if I could share our plans.”

“No worries darling. Though I may be jealous my brother gets to steal you away for a weekend we all know he needs this more than anyone. I can’t remember the last time he took a vacation that wasn’t somehow work related.” Asmo’s amber eyes flashed with sadness before returning to their usual mischievous brightness. “So make sure you help him de-stress. A couple hundred orgasms for you both should-“

“Oh my word, Asmo!” You shouted, playfully batting at his arm as he laughed at you. Your face was hotter than the Sahara at the suggestion in his words. As if Lucifer, the avatar of freaking Pride, would really want to do those things with you. He probably found the thought of kissing you repulsive. Actually he probably has never even thought of kissing you! “You’re going to be the death of me,” you muttered as you pulled him into one of the many clothing shops within the Devildom.

“MC, you know I can always tell when you’re doubting your worth. Lucifer wants you just as much as the rest of us. He just won’t ever admit it.”

You hummed noncommittally before focusing on the task you had set out to do. Fall on the surface would be colder than it is down here in the main part of the Devildom, so you’d need warmer clothes. Not just your usual hoodies and leggings either. If, as Asmo was suggesting, you would be spending the weekend playing pretend with Lucifer you were going all out. That meant dressing the part.

By midday you had everything you could possibly need and maybe a bit more. It was hard not to walk away with an abundance of new clothes when Asmo was constantly pointing out how ravishing you would look in them. “Lunch?” You ask as you step out of the latest shop, arms burdened with bags. You could ask one of the Little D’s to return them to the house for you, but it felt right to carry them yourself. Let the little creatures have a break for once.

“If you’re on the menu I’m always ready to eat.” Before you could slug him for the embarrassing commentary Asmo caught your wrist, dragging you further down the street. “Don’t worry, darling, I’ll feed you but first we have one more stop to make.”

All of the blood coursing through your body turned to magma, bringing enough heat to your face and neck to make you tug at your collar uncomfortably. “Asmo why exactly are you pulling me into a sex shop?” You whisper the last words, eyes darting around wildly. While you may not be a virgin, the topic of sex and acts of a similar nature made you squirm. You just weren’t confident enough in yourself to chat idly about something so private.

“We’re buying you something nice to wear on your trip. Obviously.” His grip on your wrist tightened slightly as you struggled to escape. He pulled you through the front of the store, dragging you to the back where there were racks brimming with every color and style of lingerie you could imagine. Within minutes your arms were overflowing with the various options Asmo was suggesting.

It was honestly overwhelming. Luckily your best friend noticed and tossed them all back in the racks. “Listen MC. I don’t think Lucifer planned this trip with the intention of seducing you, that’s not really his style. But if something were to happen during this romantic getaway wouldn’t you rather be prepared?” He asked as he gently cupped your cheeks, angling your head to meet his eyes. You nodded, shoulders relaxing.

He was right after all. You’d regret not letting him help you pick some things out if anything of that nature were to happen during the trip. “Okay. But something simple.” Twenty minutes of browsing and you had another bag to add to your growing collection. Your excitement for the upcoming mini vacation was uncontainable.

With Satan’s help you had managed to pack everything you would need for the two day trip into your small suitcase. All of the boys, minus Lucifer, had managed to jam into your small bedroom the night before. It was easy to tell they would miss you. But Asmo was right- Lucifer needed this vacation and you were more than happy to be the one enjoying it by his side.

The trip to the surface brought you to what Lucifer had deemed a cabin for your little getaway. It was actually a sprawling mansion buried among the trees in upstate New York. The sleek, dark, modern exterior featured floor to ceiling windows in most rooms. The black and white oak textures blended well with the myriad of colors decorating the surrounding forest. It was very Lucifer in a dreamy, human kind of way.

The inside was just as luxurious as you had pictured it to be. With an abundance of space filled with natural light and a kitchen to die for. You could barely imagine leaving this space for the next two days. Lucifer’s large hand slipped around your own as he guided up the floating staircase to the second story where your bedrooms were located.

“This room will be yours. Mine is right next door in case you were to need anything.” He informed you as he pushed open the door to a large bedroom overlooking the large garden at the back of the house. “I was unsure of what you would like to do while we are here so I prepared a list of places we could visit-“

“Let’s just explore for now,” you squeaked, cutting him off excitedly. “Fresh air will do us both some good, and who knows what hidden gems we could find in this gorgeous forest.”

“If that is what you wish to do. I shall meet you downstairs in ten minutes.”

Hiking with Lucifer was… well, it was boring. The only thing he seemed to be interested in was watching you. The highlight of the fifteen minutes you had been journeying beneath the falling leaves had been spotting a family of deer in the distance. At least he seemed relaxed as he trekked beside you, his suit completely out of place in the wild.

The sounds of trickling water had you perking up. Following the sound led to a small water hole at the edge of a cliff. A stunning waterfall cascaded along the back. It was breathtaking. A huge smile stretched across your cheeks as you took in the sight. Turning back to make a comment to Lucifer you were shocked by the shutter of his camera as he captured your picture.

“You look absolutely magnificent right now, little dove.” He pocketed the device before stepping to your back, his arms wrapping around your waist as he pulled you to lean against his chest. Your heart was threatening to beat its way out of your chest at the press of your body against his. It was as if a bolt of lightning had bounced between every nerve ending, leaving your senses heightened and your body craving more.

The sweet yet intense moment was broken by the rumble of your stomach. “Come, let’s get you something to eat,” Lucifer chuckled. Your jaw dropped at the easy sound. He rarely laughed and when he did it was strained as he tried to cover the sound. You immediately set a goal to hear more of that delicious sound during your trip.

After an underwhelming lunch (even you had to admit that food in the human world really couldn’t compare to the flavors of the Devildom) you looked over the list of things to do that Lucifer had brought. Most of them were rather cliche fall to-dos. Hay ride. Pumpkin patch. Corn maze. The list gave the distinct impression that the eldest demon brother had planned this trip with the intention of filling what he imagined to be your need for mundane normalcy. While the thought made your heart warm, you really had no intention of spending your time together doing anything less than spectacular.

Fall for you had always been about the calmer side of the changing weather. Curling up with hot tea and a good book. The crackle of a bonfire beneath the stars. The gooey, melty bliss that was a perfectly toasted s‘more. Drinking wine and dancing in the leaves. Freshly baked cookies.

“Why don’t we head into town and see what calls to us?” you offer as you hop down from the island you had perched yourself on while Lucifer washed your lunch dishes. “And before you comment- yes I specifically chose this plan to pilfer all control from you. This is supposed to be a vacation and I’m here to make sure you relax.”

His black eyes narrowed, completely obscuring their red specks. Full lips pursed ever so slightly as he stared you down. Anyone else may have faltered beneath the weight of the demon’s intimidating aura but you’d spent enough time around him and his brothers to know when to back down, and now was not one of those moments.

Even if your heart was beating faster than a hummingbird’s wings, you held your ground as he moved to stand before you. Tilting your chin up, your hands went to your hips as you met his glare head on. Lucifer’s jaw ticked. A sign you assumed showcased his growing annoyance with you.

The unexpected warmth of his lips upon yours had you freezing in place. Seconds were all it took for you to melt into his bruising kiss, your hands fisting into his button up shirt. One of his large palms weaved into the hair at the back of your head, stinging slightly as he used the grip to maneuver you as he claimed your lips. Your body instinctually gave in to his silent commands, becoming pliant as he forced his tongue between your parted lips to devour you further.

The world was lost as you drowned in the emotions pouring between you in the kiss. An apocalypse of catastrophic nature could have been raging just outside of your little bubble and you’d never know it. All that existed in that moment was Lucifer and all of the feelings fit him you had constantly kept buried.

The embarrassingly needy whimper that escaped your lips as he pulled away brought a raging heat to your chest and face. A knowing smirk decorated his face as he pulled away, his grip on your hair loosening. His fingers dragged along the back of your neck and jaw, stirring the already distracting seeds of arousal pulling between your thighs.

“I think you’ll find I’m quiterelaxed, little dove.” He was trying to kill you. Death by demon smolder.

As quickly as the atmosphere had shifted moments ago, the tension faded. Lucifer straightened his white button up before walking to the table to gather his jacket. “Come along, MC, we haven’t got all day.” Your eyes shot daggers into his back as you hurried after him, your knees still a little weak from the intensity of your shared kiss.

The closest town was nearly an hour’s drive away. It was picturesque with the little houses all decorated for fall. The town square was also decorated for the season. A theme of hay bales, scarecrows, pumpkins, and plaid. It was every real estate magazine’s wet dream.

As much as you were enjoying your time with Lucifer, the trip into town left you missing the boys you had left behind and the place you had come to call home. Home. When had earth stopped feeling like the place your heart belonged? The thought surprised you as you realized it hadn’t felt right to be on this plane of existence since you had gone to R.A.D. the first time.

“You’ve gone quiet. What’s so captivating in your mind to steal you from me?” Lucifer’s deep tone drew you from your thoughts. Ignoring the way your heart swelled at how easily he saw you beneath the layers of armor you had built over the years, you offered him a half smile.

“I’m a little astounded. And maybe a touch homesick.”

His brows furrowed slightly as he glanced over to you from the driver’s seat. “Homesick,” he repeated, the word void of any emotion.

“Mhmm. This trip feels more like a vacation than I thought it would. I guess I’m just shocked to find that being here, surrounded by other humans, doesn’t feel like home anymore.”

Lucifer made a thoughtful noise but was silent for the rest of the ride back to the ‘cabin’. The car’s engine had just died when he spoke again. “Where is home if not here then?”

The vulnerability in his voice had you at a loss for words. He was either genuinely concerned with your answer or he hated that he was even asking.

“I feel like home is wherever you are. All of you.”

Lucifer’s pride was nearly palpable as he reached across the space to grip your chin and pull you in for a brief yet intense kiss. You had chosen not just him but his brothers also.

“Worry not, little dove, I shall take you hometomorrow.” He breathed the words into your parted lips before pulling back. His eyes were somehow even darker as he gazed at you. “But until then you’re mine and mine alone.”

Oh my, it has been almost a year since I posted anything about To Be Blessed, To Seek Damnation and I want to apologise.

I feel really bad for leaving it incomplete but University took away every energy from me and unfortunatelly I struggled a lot with my mental health because of it.

Today, I was scrolling through my laptop and found the draft for Chapter 3 that I started 10 months ago and I was hit with a wave of nostalgia.

It’s been so long since I wrote anything for this ff and I would like to finish it.

I will try and focus on Ch. 3 during this week and hopefully I will be able to give this serie a conclusion.

Wish me luck!

A/N:hello! I decided to write this story in second person, that’s why you might find the first chapter slightly changed. This took me forever to write; babysitting is hard! Anyway, I’ll leave you guys to this second part. Thank you for being here!

Part One

*

“So, tell me, what is it with you and this necklace?”

You groaned, “Lucifer, what are you talking about?”

Since the day you had met him, Lucifer had become obsessed with you. At first, he used to look at you and ask you from time to time what did you desire. As if that wasn’t weird enough, he kept mentioning that the reason why you were able to resist him was because you might have been similar to Chloe. At some point, you stopped trying to give a sense to what he was saying.

So now here you were, in your lab working on a new murder from the same church serial killer, with Lucifer asking you a new bizarre question. Apparently, he didn’t like it when you suggested that the reason why you were not attracted to him was simply because you… weren’t.

“Well it’s obvious! It must be that chunk of metal that’s blocking my powers,” Lucifer said gesturing towards your necklace.

You touched it instinctively. You had this necklace since your birth; you never took it off your neck. When you were a child you used to think that as long as you wore it, an angel would protect you. Then you grew up and realised it was just a fantasy. Nevertheless, that necklace with an angel wings pendant was very important to you, and even though you didn’t believe in angels anymore, you still felt safe having it around your neck.

“See? You are doing it again. You’re always touching it.”

You rolled your eyes and went back to work, “Lucifer, the reason why I’m touching it is because it means a lot to me, not because it has some kind of shielding powers against the Devil.”

Yeah, about the Devil thing. The first days you had known him, you had tried to avoid that metaphor he insisted on using. Soon, you realised that all of that religious talking was a part of him. Truth be told, you weren’t fond of him at first.

You didn’t have anything against him, you just couldn’t stand it when a person was trying to force on you their religious beliefs. However, Lucifer never tried to force you into believing that he was the devil. He simply told you - thousands of times, yes - but never imposed it on you. So you accepted this quirky side of him.

“Then you wouldn’t mind taking it off, would you now?”

You froze in the middle of your action. A dreadful feeling was spreading inside of you and you felt like choking.

You touched again your necklace and warmth surrounded you. As long as you had that necklace with you, you were safe.

“Miss Y/L/N? Are you okay?” Lucifer sounded concerned, but when he tried to come closer, you took a step back.

“Yeah, I am,” you muttered before turning your back at him and starting to work again. “Anyway, no, I won’t take it off.”

Lucifer made a whiny sound, “but what if my father has something to do with it? After all, those are angel wings! What if it is connected to one of my siblings? Maybe that is the reason why I have my angel wings back.”

You smiled, “I think your father has better things to do than sending one of his angels to give me a necklace, Lucifer.”

You jumped a little when you suddendly realised he was right behind you.

“You are a curious little human,” he said looking at you in a way you could not decipher. It was like he was trying to solve a puzzle.

You hummed, not paying much attention to that comment, which didn’t stop Lucifer from following you around the lab as if he was your shadow.

“You said you don’t believe in my father and yet you talk about what I say as if it’s true. Why?”

You shrugged, looking at him with a slight smile, “I don’t believe, that’s true, but you do. And that is enough for me to accept it and not mention that everything you say sounds crazy to me.”

Lucifer smiled, “as I said, you are an interesting little human.”

You were on a crime scene when it happened again. You had sensed it, just like the first time.

That morning, Ella called you because another body was found murdered in a church. The serial killer hit again. When you arrived there, you noticed that the same MO was used. This was the sixth case and you were nowhere near finding the killer.

This case was causing a lot of problems. Chloe was working days and nights trying to find the killer. You and Ella were doing your best but the killer was too good at his job. The crime scenes were always neat and security cameras never caught anything. You were all going crazy.

However, this morning the killer finally slipped. Apparently, they were interrupted before finishing the victim off. A priest had come in the church and immediately alerted the police. Sadly, the victim had passed away before he could reveal anything, but the priest was alive and now he was answering Chloe’s questions.

Lucifer was next to you when it happened.

You were collecting the last piece of evidence from the crime scene when you heard him speak.

“Good morning, Miss Y/L/N. I heard there’s a new update on the case.” He sounded quite joyful.

You looked at him and smiled lightly, “good morning to you. The killer was spotted by a priest, so they say.”

Lucifer chuckled, “oh? Strange, isn’t it? Our friend seemed quite the meticulous type.”

You frowned, “you are right,” you sounded alarmed and as if something hit you, you started running towards Chloe to tell her it was all a trap.

“Miss Y/L/N?” Lucifer called after you but it was too late.

Before you could reach Chloe, you heard a shot. It was a trap, just like you had thought and the target wasn’t the priest, it was you.

You heard Lucifer screaming your name, soon followed by Ella and Chloe.

Before the bullet could even reach you, everything went black and you collapsed on the floor. Your necklace was burning hot on your skin.

*

You were starting to wake up and the first thing you heard was someone screaming.

Then you were surrounded by a wave of pain. You knew the bullet didn’t even touch your skin, so you probably hit your head quite hard. Everything was fuzzy so you didn’t immediately realise that the screaming stopped and that a surprisingly worried Lucifer was staring at you.

“Miss Y/L/N?”

He was about to touch your cheek but he stopped.

“Miss Y/L/N, this would be an excellent moment for you to say something.” He tried to smile but you noticed that it didn’t reach his eyes.

You were so tired, you didn’t want to talk but Lucifer was so worried and… why was he so worried?

“Is a-anyone hurt?” You asked weakly.

He frowned, “yes, Miss Y/L/N, you are!”

You shook your head, “no no, not me.”

Lucifer was even more confused. What were you talking about? Why would anyone be hurt if you were the target? And why were you about to cry?

“I did it again,” you whispered. You started crying.

Lucifer was taken aback and he tried to touch you but he stopped again.

“What have you done, Miss Y/L/N?” He asked cautiously.

You sobbed, “I didn’t know I was the target otherwise I would have gone far away.”

“Bloody hell, Miss Y/L/N, what are you talking about?” Lucifer seemed a bit annoyed now.

“The explosion! I killed them,” you shouted before passing out again.

*

It had been two days since you came back home. Your head injury was healing well and the skin of your neck wasn’t even burnt. Just like the last time. You could swear the necklace had burnt your skin, and yet there wasn’t a single scratch. You had imagined it again.

You had learned from Ella that no one was hurt aside from you and when you asked about an explosion, she didn’t comment on it and said that there was none. You had immagined that too.

Chloe had tried to talk to you several times, and so had Lucifer. They couldn’t understand how the bullet didn’t even touch you. You were in his trajectory but you were fine and there was no trace of a bullet.

Truth was, you didn’t have an explanation. You just knew that no harm could be done to you. You had always wondered how you never got hurt as a child, or how dangerous things never happened to you.

Like that day when you were surfing. You could swear there were sharks, and yet they just swam peacefully around you. Or when your school caught fire and the flames hadn’t touched you once.

Or when you were involved in a car accident and your whole family died, but you survived without a scratch. Every time your life was in danger, you could feel your necklace burning your skin followed by an explosion, after which you would pass out. Once awake, your skin was intact and people around you were either dead or injured.

Maybe you really had a guardian angel.

You scoffed at the thought. Despite your effort to disclaim religion, your mother’s teachings were hard to forget.

You touched your necklace again. Your mother had always told you that an angel gave her that necklace and for that reason it would protect you as long as you wore it. Yes, it made you feel safe, but it was just a piece of metal, nothing more.

You heard knocking on the door and for a moment you thought about not answering it. You decided against it eventually.

“Hello, how can I help you detective?” Honestly, you were a bit annoyed that she showed up to your door uninvited.

“Hi, Y/N, sorry to disturb you but we just want to ask you few questions about the case,” she said apologetically.

“We?”

“Well hello, Miss Y/L/N, missed me?” Lucifer entered the house with a charming smile and before you could mention anything, he sat on the couch as if he owned the place.

“So, shall we?” He grinned at you.

You scoffed. He could be insanely irritating sometimes. But you knew that deep down, you actually cared for him. You had realised that when you were at the hospital and you had found yourself glad that the first face you saw after waking up was Lucifer’s. Obviously, you would never tell him that, he was already cocky enough.

“What is it?” You asked tiredly.

“The Detective here seems to think that you are going to be the next victim. How funny, since we all know that you avoid churches like the Black Plague,” there was some kind of command in his voice, almost as if he was telling you not to go to a church. As if he was worried about you.

“I… I’m sorry, why would I be the next target?” You asked.

Chloe sighed, “we believe the killer was on the crime scene on the day of the shooting. You were obviously the target since there was no one close to you. The priest also said that he heard the killer, who we now know is a man, saying something about a girl.”

You couldn’t believe it, how was it possible?

“You don’t seem worried,” was Lucifer’s dry remark. He was studying your reaction.

You shook your head, “why me?”

Chloe looked sad, “we don’t know yet. It seemed like the killer was targeting atheists but the shooting felt personal. We believe you are in danger, Y/N.”

Lucifer got up with the biggest grin you had ever seen, “here comes the fun part!”

You raised an eyebrow, “oh really? I wonder where’s the fun in all of this,” you muttered sternly.

Lucifer opened his arm and pointed his hands at his entire figure, “me of course,” he said cockily. “You’ll be staying with me until you are safe again, Miss Y/L/N.”

Summary: Y/N is a blessed child protected by the Archangel Michael. After an accident, she moves to LA and joins the LAPD as a forensic scientist. She is an atheist, therefore, her path is destined to collide with Lucifer’s, which will cause Michael’s wrath. When a new serial killer strikes in LA, Y/N will finally learn the truth about herself.

Warnings: set somewhere around season 2 with a lot of changes taken from the other seasons, like Lucifer’s devil form. Therefore, if you haven’t watched all four seasons, I recommend you don’t read it. Despite my endless love for the Deckerstar, in this story they will just be partners.

A/N: hello! I decided to only post this story here on Tumblr and not Ao3 because honestly the latter would take away a lot of time which I really don’t have. Therefore, I decided to reduce the length of the story, which will still be around 10 chapters. So if you decide to join this adventure with me, welcome on board! And thank you for trusting me in case you decide to stay for the whole story. As always, sorry for any mistakes, English is not my first language and I am trying my best.

Part Two

*

There is a moment in life, a crystallised instant frozen into time, when your world is crumbling into ashes, a moment where you are put in front of two options: let the ashes and scraps bury you or fight back and change what is killing you.

Fighting back was the hardest choice, you had learned it the hard way. Deciding to put your past behind you, to move forward and start a new life where, hopefully, things would go your way, was the most arduous choice you had ever made; and yet, the best.

You moved to LA a couple of weeks ago, knowing absolutely no one, barely being able to rent a place where to live and a job to help you survive. You had left your hometown behind, not regretting your decision even for a second. There was nothing left for you in that shallow city. No friends, no family. When you chose LA as a new chance at a better life, you did it knowing that everything could go wrong. LA was the city of thousands of possibilities, where people pursued their dreams. The harsh truth was that you were alone and from that moment on, your future depended on you. You had no intention of messing it up again.

You now worked for the LAPD as a forensic scientist. You had worked all your life to achieve this goal and still could not believe that you finally made it. You had worked in many labs before, but you had never collaborated with the police. Maybe your second chance to a better life was becoming more real than you had first imagined.

“So, Y/N, where are you from exactly?” Ella Lopez asked. She was your colleague now and the best forensic you had ever met. She was a nice girl.

You hummed, “oh from a small town.”

Ella looked confused, but you decided to ignore it.

“So, what brings you to LA?” she asked cheerfully.

You looked at her. You felt a bit guilty for the way you were treating Ella. This was your second meeting and you could tell Ella was trying really hard to get to know you. To be honest, you didn’t want to act so cold with her. You genuinely liked Ella, in fact, you would have loved to be friends. However, you could not allow yourself to break Ella’s trust and heart, not considering how pure and joyful she was.

It was best for you to stay alone.

“Just work,” you replied not even looking at Ella but focusing on your microscope instead.

“Ookay, got it. You are not a talker. Well, I am, so don’t mind me occasionally talking to myself. Actually, I’d talk to you cuz you look pretty cool but hey I don’t wanna pressure you.”

You chuckled, “got it.” Despite your efforts to remain cold, you had the feeling that Ella was growing on you and you were becoming rather fond of her endless talking.

Ella nodded, “good. So, have you found anything interesting?”

You finally looked at her and allowed yourself to smile lightly, “not really, just what we already know. Victim was found dead inside of a church, 3 stabs in the heart, several injuries added post-mortem. No sign of the killer’s DNA on anything we’ve got so far.”

Ella groaned, “damn, who would kill someone in a church?”

You shrugged, “a fanatic, I guess. To be honest, it doesn’t seem to be personal,” you muttered getting closer to Ella so that you could both look at the photos taken on the crime scene. “Look at the way the body is displayed, it’s too methodical to be a rushed action dictated by anger.”

“Yeah, you might be right. So, what do you think we are dealing with?”

You shrugged again, “I don’t know. But clearly the killer had a whole scheme planned ahead.”

“Wait, it’s like you said,” Ella exclaimed taking the photo of the dead body and pointing a finger at it, “it’s clearly a methodical work which requires time, therefore, the killer knew exactly what to do and how to do it. They planned this, and I think it means that they had a lot of time to display the body like this. Who could have all this time in a church without no one noticing?”

“You are right, especially since these injuries post-mortem wouldn’t have been easy to add in such a precise way unless knowing that no one is going to disturb you.”

Ella smiled, jumping around and hugging you, “we are such a great team! I need to tell Chloe about our theory, I’ll be right back, partner!” and with that said she was gone.

You smiled, there was something inside you that was becoming warmer, a feeling you had long forgotten. Ella had called you partner and even though you were trying to avoid getting close to your co-workers, the thought of it was enough to leave you smiling like you had not done in a long time.

It felt good to finally have a theory about the case. You had joined the LAPD only two days ago and they were already working on this case. Apparently, a white man, around 45 years old, was found murdered in a church four days ago. The cause of death was three stabs in the chest but the gruesome part was the way his body was displayed in the middle of the church; the man was laying down with his arms stretched and two needles pinning his hands to the floor, while his legs were crossed and also pinned by a needle. The curious part was that the man was an atheist and that according to his wife he would never set foot on a church. The detective Decker was investigating the case when you joined them and apparently nothing had been found on the killer yet.

They still didn’t have much information on the person that could have killed that man but at least now they had a lead to follow.

You were still looking at the file when the door of the lab sprung open.

“Miss Lopez! Any update on-…” the person who had entered suddenly stopped and looked at you in annoyance, “you are not Miss Lopez!”

You raised an eyebrow and looked at the man, “clearly not.”

The man scoffed, “and who are you exactly?”

“Y/N Y/L/N. May I ask you the same question?”

“Oh, you must be the new lab geek. The detective had mentioned it earlier, I think,” he muttered to himself before looking at you and grinning, “I am Lucifer Morningstar.”

You were beyond shocked, just standing there with your mouth and eyes wide open. “Lucifer Morningstar? You serious?”

He chuckled, “of course! I am the Devil, darling.”

You burst into laughter. You could not believe what you had just heard.

Lucifer seemed offended, “something is amusing you, perhaps?”

He was now walking towards you, a serious and intense look in his eyes. You found yourself taking a step back, suddenly very aware of his closeness.

“I just find hard to believe that you are the Devil, Mr Morningstar.”

Lucifer smiled wickedly, “oh, do you now?”

He was getting too close. So close that you could finally notice how handsome this man looked, how dangerously attractive and charming he was.

“Tell me, Miss Y/L/N, what is it that you desire?”

You gulped and looked away. For some reason, you found that question frighteningly intimate. There was something about this man that made you feel naked, exposed, vulnerable. And you hated it. You clasped your necklace in your hand and, as if waking up from a dream, you narrowed your eyes.

“I desire pizza. Now, if you’ll excuse me” you replied, walking away from him.

Lucifer blinked several times, he could swear his mojo was working, he could not understand what just happened.

“Who is that girl?” he whispered when the door of the lab closed in front of his face.

“Well heya Sammy, I see you got my message about your little girlfriend”Sam started stalking toward

“Well heya Sammy, I see you got my message about your little girlfriend”

Sam started stalking toward Lucifer until he saw him bring his hand up to your throat.

“now now Sammy, let’s not turn into an angry giant just yet, or you might not like what happens to her pretty face.”

“Sam please-”

there was a hand over your mouth before you could say anything else.

“shhh, shhh, Y/N. the adults are talking.”

Sam’s anger was getting stronger.

“What do you want Lucifer?”

Lucifer smirked trailing a finger down your cheek.

“Well I’m glad you asked. ya see Sam, you’re either going to help me, or..”

Lucifer’s hand tightened its grip on your throat cutting off your airway.

“or she dies”
