Mammon’s Purpose

Some angels had a purpose, something to live for. It’s what gave these angels life. Of course, not every angel had to serve a purpose. Most of the angels made were made of the love of their father. Yet, what happened to those who had roles to fulfill? Had accomplished what they were made for?

With no longer having a purpose to serve, they are called back into the universe. Along with them goes all the memories made. People around them begin to forget, slowly like a small trickle of water down a hill and finally into a large pond. They are forgotten.

Mammon knew what his purpose was. He has always known, ever since he was but a small cherub held in the arms of his father who had named him. He also knew when his time would come.

It wasn’t painful, he would tell himself. Of course it hurt to know that the people he had cared for so deeply slowly began to forget him. Still he kept the smile bright on his lips with a jump in his step.

But even so he couldn’t stop the tears that dropped from his eyes nor could he stop the Silent pleas and prayers that slipped from his lips once the sun had set. Soon. His time was coming soon. He could feel it.

Taking in a shaky breath, Mammon stood up on trembling legs. Slowly, so slowly he moved towards the door. He could hear them all down stairs laughing and having fun. Even more tears began to spill down his cheeks as he slumped his head against his door and slipped to the floor. One trembling hand still grasping at the handle of the door, as he muttered small prayers under his last breath.

“Lord, no. Father, please give me one more chance. I’m begging you. Let me stay with them just a bit longer!”

Yet no matter how many times he called to his father, not once was he answered. Was this his punishment for disobeying him so? To watch as the people he loved slowly forget him? But why? He hadn’t disobeyed completely.

After all, he had completed through with his purpose up until now, hadn’t he? He had loved his brothers with his entire being. That’s what he was meant to do. Yet, why was it that his purpose was deemed complete when there was still so much to care and love for them.

It was too much to bare! His heart hurt, his throat felt constricted, he couldn’t breath in this room anymore. And so with urgency, he ripped open his bedroom door open and sprinted down the halls of the house. Following the sounds of laughter down to the living room, he could feel bits of himself slowly start to disappear.

No! Please! Not yet! Let me at least make it to them in time!

Vision so blurry from the tears, he missed a step on the way down the stair case. As he fell, it was as if time had stopped. He could only hear his brothers laughter from the living room and the air rushing past his ears as he fell.

Suddenly, it was quiet. No loud thump from what should’ve been a body hitting the floor. Only a small clink of a sound, as a pair of sunglasses laid at the bottom of the stair case. Frame, scratched and well worn and lens cracked and crooked from the fall.

Ah, his time had run out.

Okay so: in the previous post I mentioned that I was working on some sketches about the Obey Me mermaid AU. Well…I finished them! At first I didn’t know whether to use @banettepost ’s original design for Mammon or not (because after all it’s very well done and beautiful-), then I wasn’t sure about his human form (I think @omnibread1 sketched something regarding that,but then again,I didn’t want to use other people designes without permission-) so in the end…I “tried” coming up with a design of my own,starting with Mammon’s species:

a “Lemon Shark”

I chose the Lemon Shark after a long research on its features: their skin is a yellow/brown,they seem to be quite social/friendly towards other lemon sharks/humans and most importantly they like being petted a lot. So yeah,that’s basically MammonAnyway here are some sketches of merman Mammon and pirate MC (Camy):

I have the feeling that Mammon wouldn’t be too happy about a MC with insomnia,because:

(1) It’s bad for his human health! Humans need sleep and as their first, it’s his job to make sure they get enough of it! (He just worries a lot when he sees MC tired,but he would never admit such a thing-)

(2) who is he supposed to cuddle in bed if his human isn’t there?! He gets lonely, you know? (Again,he would find another excuse to make MC sleep in his bed rather than confessing the truth,something like: “Humans get cold at night,right? Well doncha worry! Why? Because I will let ya stay in my warm room since I’m that great and generous!”)

Here is for example a quick demonstration sketch of how Mammon gets Camy(MC),who has a fucked up sleep schedule, to sleep:

The only way to make sure Camy sleeps is basically trapping her to the bed(just because she doesn’t want to risk waking Mammon up-). Anyway I hope you all enjoyed this silly sketchhave a nice day/night and stay safe everyone!✨

Obey Me Brothers with a Nosebleeding MC

A/n: I’m about to go crazy. Tumblr keeps on posting this while I save it on drafts. This was an anonymous request but due to technical difficulties, I lost the ask. Sorry.

Lucifer

• Humans are fragile and this shows it.
• After making a pact with all the brothers, he expected your body to be more resilient but it seems like they’re more immune to magics and spells than injuries.
• Since he’s the eldest, he probably has a first aid kit in his room. So, when you had an accident he was there to help.
• “Good grief, please do not disappoint Lord Diavolo by your fragility. Here, have some Cranberry juice from the human world. It’ll avoid you from having anemia.”

Mammon

• He thinks humans are weak so expect him to mock you first before taking action.
• He then panics when the situation worsens.
• What should he do? How should he help you? ARE YOU GOING TO DIE?
• No Mammon they will not die.
• “You should’ve told me a darn tissue is all you needed.”

Leviathan

• Just like Mammon, Leviathan panics in these kinds of situations.
• After playing loads of VR and gaming with you, he didn’t expect you’d have a nosebleed afterwards. It’s probably because of lack of sleep, you explain to him.
• He probably sets time-frames when you can play with him.
• “Lucifer’s going to kill me if you die. Here, I have some tissues, that’s what humans need right?”

Satan

• He’s calm with the situation since he probably read in books that this situation occasionally happens with humans.
• Although he’d like to find to out the factors that led you to this. Might be the dust of his books that caused you to sneezed very hard, lack of sleep, or anything.
• Either uses spells to help you with your situation or he helps you by giving an aid.
• “Lucifer will get angry if he thinks I’m the cause of this but it’s not good for you to get hurt either. Do you need help?”

Asmodeus

• Probably cringes because of how you look with blood dripping from your nose.
• He instantly helps so your beautywouldn’ttarnish.
• Provides tips on how to take care of yourself plus relaxes you by inviting you to baths.
• “It wouldn’t look good if you’re stressed always, MC. Nosebleeds don’t look good on you.”

Beelzebub

• He probably worries he might’ve done something wrong. Slightly panics in the situation.
• Asks if you need help or anything.
• You ask for tissues, he gives tissues. Need ice? He’s there to comply.
• “I’ve brought everything you asked for, are these enough?”

Belphegor

• Frankly, I do believe he doesn’t care.
• However, if the situation does become a bother, he’ll try to help with the ‘best’ that he can.
• Although, he’d let you solve this problem on your own since this do happen normally with humans.
• “So bothersome…You can take care yourself, right?”

Thinking of making a short of mammon as mafuyu but I genuinely don’t know who would be kanade, Mizuki, and ena I need characters so tell me about ur obey me mc’s and I’ll use them

Mammon daughter of white au like if you agree

Mammon leans back on the couch, reading a small book. As of late, he had been restless, and found a lot of comfort in staying awake in a room that wasn’t his. Overall, his mood had been a constant dragging sensation. Nothing but annoyances, or grief. 

The tired, white haired demon flipped a page in his book, and soon, felt a small nudging on his arm. 

Looking down, he smiled, seeing the Little Devil of Greed. also known as ‘Lil D No. 2′. The small devil grinned at him in their typically mischievious way, before floating down, and plopping down on Mammon’s chest. 

“Papaaaaa” the small devil whined playfully to the Demon of Greed. “Papaa, I’m bored…” the small devil continued. 

Mammon groaned, and put the book down. However, he maintained a pretty soft expression. “Lil G. It’s late, there’s not much i can do with you right now. What do you want me to do?” the white haired man asked, 

The small devilish creature smiled as it moved it’s small stick like hands a bit. “Read?” he asked, before crawling up closer to mammon’s head, and looking up at the book. “I like hearing you tell stories.” the devil said, before settling down again. 

Naturally, Mammon’s older brother instinct took over, and he sighs- a small smile crossing his lips as he sat up on the couch. “Fine, Fine. Come ‘ere goofball.” he pat the small pillow right next to him, the little golden eyed devil letting out a small cackle-like laugh- though it more in playfulness. It plopped down on the pillow and looks up, seeing a few small drawings on the book. 

The avatar of greed started to read the modest book with enthusiasm, smiling down to the devil, then turning the page to read again. He made sure to read somewhat silently, that way he wasn’t waking anyone up- but in about ten minutes, the other visiting little devils were all on the couch with him and Lil’ G- listening to the story. 

The rest of the night went by quickly, all of them enjoying their family-like activity together.

“Once, in a far off land- the skies were stained black with unknown auras of the night sky- burning stars pierced the darkness- and from them- a guardian was borne. He was calm, and fair. One might say that he was an image of arguable perfection. Noble, and pure, this guardian was. He could pierce enemeies with his sword- romoured to be white-hot to the touch. Every monster he slain fell from the skies- leaving behind a trail of light. Thus- ‘Falling Stars’ were discovered.”

We all know that Mammon’s favorite food in the game is Hell Soysauce Ramen however, I wanted to come up with a headcanon as to what kind of CANDY Mammon would prefer. 

For surface context- 

I headcanon that Mammon prefers hardcandy over any other type of candy. 

This means that Mammon would prefer to eat stuff such as suckers, jolly ranchers, fruit flavered hard candies, or maybe even butterscotch hard candies. 

The reason I think he could possibly like hard candy,and hot foods more- is because the taste ‘stays with you for a while’. 

As the sibling who quite possibly undergoes a lot of emotional stress- I would vouch he really likes to ‘enjoy the moment while it lasts’. So he can just enjoy a little bit of his time, without feeling bad- 

He doesn’t like it when things go away quickly. He doesn’t like it when things are short lived. He is the avatar of greed, after all- he wants to enjoy the things he likes for longer- so he can continue to feel the emotional satisfaction he gets from it, even if it is very little. 

Hot Hell Soysauce Ramen- a spicy food- spicy foods nearly always linger on the tongue. They last a little while even after the food is finished. Usually longer than sweets, or generally salty or bitter food does.

A similar feeling to this would be stuff like Suckers, Lollipops, and ect candies, because he can keep them around for a while, before they are finished. 

For most chocolates- those are gone fairly quick. They melt- their flavors usually don’t take long to vanish from your mouth- and they, in general, take very little time to finish.

Along with that- a lot of spicy flavors are sold in hard candy form. (Though there are some spicy kinds of chocolates and short term snacks out there)

This headcanon does not really mean much, and it doesn’t really need to exist, but it just does. 

OBEY ME HEADCANON: THE PERKS OF HIS SIN

Demon Bros as the avatars of each sin have a few little tricks up their sleeves!

Lucifer - Pride

• When he first becomes a demon he doesn’t really understand his sin
• He doesn’t know how this makes him the most powerful though accurately categorizes him as the eldest
• What could pride even do?
• It’s when he picks up a harp for the first time since The Fall that he realizes the potential
• The instrument lay dormant in his hands until he cautiously plucked a few strings
• His ears perked up a bit at the pleasant sound, surprising himself as he was terrible at music previously
• Lucifer continued plucking until a familiar song came from the instrument
• Rushing to a foreign music booklet, Lucifer realizes he can now read music
• He spends the week seeing if he can transfer his instant learning to other activities or skills
• As it turns out, he can
• Though, due to his pride, he can only instantly learn something if he believes he can do it
• This is why horny lucifer is best lucifer

Mammon - Greed

• Also doesn’t understand why greed is so important
• After a while pieces together that eldest three’s sins corrupt souls but the younger four corrupt bodies
• Deciding to test it out, Mammon takes a vacation to the Human Realm gambling tents just a few hundred years after Cain and Abel
• He accurately predicts when someone’s luck has run out due to greed and can manipulate others into feeling greedier
• Mammon begins to gamble with a modest amount of money
• He is accused of cheating at first because no matter what game he’s played he’s won
• But hes now an undefeated poker champion somewhere
• Despite his incredible ability to use greed for his advantage, making him rich wherever he goes, he also feels an insatiable need to possess
• canonly its hoarding
• It’s a golden cage of sorts

Leviathan - Envy

• Levi’s little perk has to start with him
• A bit more unconscious perk than anyone else’s
• If he’s jealous of something, other people immediately resonate with what he’s feeling
• It’s why when one demon brother gets so close to you, all demon brothers are suddenly dog-piling you with attention
• He realized his talent several centuries ago by manipulating Narcissus into envying himself
• It makes him prime for command of Diavolo’s navy
• Though this is not to say Levi can overwrite someone’s feelings
• The envy must already be present for him to manipulate it
• Though in the Devildom there is no shortage of his sin

Satan - Wrath

• Wrath is a physical route for anger
• And Satan finds he has plenty of it
• In his early days, he found he was great at physical fights
• Though, after a while he realizes its because wrath guides his body through the motions
• His mind blanks and his movements are completely in the rhythm of the battle
• If someone could throw a punch at Satan, he could probably dish out the exact same punch twice
• The only drawback is the exhaustion
• If wrath is the physical translation of anger, it is an energy
• Therefore, something has to feed it
• Satan often pays with his physical form tearing at itself
• So, he sticks to battle strategy as a way to channel his sin

Asmodeus - Lust

• similarly to the rest of the younger brothers, Asmo’s sin corrupts the body
• of course he is naturally beautiful but asmo’s secret is camouflage
• he appears beautiful to everyone because his physical form transfixes others through illusion
• the first time he notices this is when his brothers cant decide what eye color he has
• they give out wildly different answers but all agree on his strawberry blonde locks
• in terms of others, asmodeus cannot influence people the way leviathan can
• but he can lure them through illusion
• he is also fueled by the chaos of his sin because its messy and dramatic which amplifies the effectiveness of his magic
• however, asmo realizes that no one has ever truly seenhim

Beelzebub - Gluttony

• some might be tempted to say raw strength
• but actually Beel can’t be poisoned
• don’t be misguided though, he can definitely taste when food is bad
• but he’s never experienced a foodborne illness
• not a single stomach ache nor food poisoning
• this man could lick a gas station floor and be alright
• they found out when mammon poisoned him on accident and Beel was just fine the next day
• Satan proceeded to test his younger brother to the limit but found that Beel’s stomach simply processed all food normally
• the cost is mood swings
• horrific, off-putting mood swings when he’s hungry coupled with his physical size and physicality is often equal to most of his brothers’ combined strengths
• so Beel spends much of his youth taming this side of him, and holding his brothers together, so that despite his rank and age, no one will have to look after him
• its his gift to his brothers

Belphegor - Sloth

• It might actually be unfair to put Belphie as the last brother
• but its literally just his laziness
• his magic is powerful, condescending, and manipulative
• luckily he is either too sleepy or too neutral to use it
• but dream magic warps your emotions, sucking you in and making you fear all that once kept you safe
• because the fabric of reality in dreams is his to mold
• the drawback here is that Belphegor must be close enough to you to use it
• not physically but emotionally
• he must emotionally understand you in order to manipulate your dreams
• which, of the brothers, limits his powers greatly
• he opts to share a room with his twin because Beel usually has the most vivid nightmares about The Fall
