I took months to draw this. Redid many things multiple times. Took my time to add textures, details, make a nice lineart. And it was worth it ! I’m really proud of this illustration !
Zara is my main One Piece OC. In my fanfic she’s bestfriend with Perona and Bonney. I hadn’t drawn them together for years, so I wanted to make a really nice thing. I did it.

Hello, I like pain . It’s difficult to describe what happened here in its entirety. I’ve been writing down story details lately about a similar time period of the past, as the last post about uni/college times. That combined with a song that’s been coming back to me somehow inspired what you see here. It’s rather reduced in terms of colours but I actually like it a lot. ✨ So you can place this within the entire timeline, they are somewhat around 16 and 20 here.
All in all this represents a time where not everything was going smoothly. The visual language and details in this piece might be very subtle, but that’s what depression can be. It doesn’t come kicking down the front door, but will slowly creep in to take hold of you before you or anyone else might even notice. For some reason, drawing this - especially Fabio’s expression - really made my heart ache To the point that I decided to make a second version of it because I felt it looks a tiny bit more peaceful when their eyes are closed
It’s a bit hard for me to assess how much of all the emotional turmoil really translates when you look at a drawing like this without knowing the entire context of the story But I felt like sharing this piece with you anyway . I have yet to find out what it reminds me of, but it truly hits a nerve of melancholy . . Sooo since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner I wanted to draw something soft And this is what came out ✨ . Since those two are a (present time) long established couple it’s kind of interesting for me to show them in an actually romantic scene for once . As nice as it looks.. he would sure as hell complain about how she just snatched his earbuds . I imagine it as a ~ “ ☝ How dare you unplug me in the middle of- …” .. damn.. she cute today ~ kind of moment . So I just kept on sketching and this rollercoaster of emotions was the result . From sweet and soft To utterly stupid ~ “Wait, I’ll put them back in ” And payback

I’m so satisfied and honestly it was worth giving up some inktober days to work this through! Also I really loved how the linework went out, considering trying to spend more time in the line rather than in the painting
