It is true that even if we can’t change the world, at least we are changing the world for our feline family members.

One day at work, a trash collector had a heart-warming encounter when he opened a trash bag.
A usual day for this employee at Philadelphia, PA is hauling trash bags deposited in the streets into the garbage truck. The routine was the same for this particular day. Nothing uneventful happened, until he noticed that there were movements in one of the bags. After he heard sound coming from it, he realized it was coming from a cat that was still inside the bag.
The collector released the kitten as soon as he could. She was then taken to the Providence Animal Shelter, and was aptly named after the Sesame Street character Grundgetta.
The animal shelter that took her confirmed that Grundgetta had been adopted by a loving new family.
It is truly inhumane to throw away such an innocent kitten away. Stories like this, however, provide hope for humans who are still compassionate and kind to animals.

Tried my hand at some pet portraits for Christmas gifts this year. Not used to painting realistic animals, but it was a fun experience!
Pulling a Cat When She Went Into Labor!!!
If you follow our networking page for the Devore cats: https://www.facebook.com/KittyDevoreRescueNetwork/ you may recognize Antigone. She is a woe begotten, pregnant kitty who found herself not only in the shelter but on the daily euthanasia list.
A rescue partner stepped up for her and we sent our puller. As our puller arrived at the scene Antigone had Anti-Gone into full labor and delivered a kitten on her way to the foster. This was an unusual situation for even an experienced rescuer, but we’re happy to say she has delivered adorable baby #2 and is all set up at her foster’s house. Our rescue head has said “Every pull is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get…” but our network was collectively surprised she decided to go into labor right before the “pull”. Haha.

MARLEY
The Little Angel Pokemon
Marley’s cute appearance tricks other pokemon who might not see it as a threat. However, Marley is ferocious and will fight any pokemon that gets in it’s personal space.
Pet snakes… do they actually care about you, the owner? Well, I definitely don’t actually know the answer, but here’s how I think about it our primitive pets and their affection towards us. What do you think?
Custom portraits are so much fun for us because we get the chance to really get to know our clients (with their families and friends, pets, boyfriends and girlfriends, etc…) through the photos they send us before telling the story of who they are through various types of illustration!

While each portrait holds a place in our Frame & Follie hearts, this one is special in that it was our very first custom illustration sold via Etsy…to a complete stranger! It took a few tries to get the look just right, but it pushed us toward another style of drawing which we’re excited to offer clients in the future!
