“I must say the World Standings drama is absolutely hilarious. It never mattered in the last few seasons anyway, and even if the fans are gloating about it now, it is still irritating, remember they’re being arrogant over the skater who’s number one lost by a wide margin to their rival in the GPF this season and can only win titles when their head rivals aren’t competing.”

“Team competitions at the olympics should just be gotten rid of. It makes no sense when you know which country is going to be on the podium and what place they come in. They should bring back team competition when there are 6 or 7 countries that are in medal contention, kind of like artistic gymnastics.”

“Is it too much to ask if I want yuzu to have another OGM, and p/c to have the same number and type of individual Olympic medals as v/m? The former is a possibility, but I don’t think ISU will allow the latter to happen.”

“I always think it’s sad when a low-ranked skater has a really outstanding skate at Nationals and makes the podium, but nobody knows or cares because they don’t come from one of the four big feds.”

“I always feel so bad for Stepanova/Bukin, in 6 years of seniors (including nationals), they have only won 5 times, 3 of which were just the challenger series wins. They are way more interesting than Sinitsina/Katsalapov imo. Anyways, mad props to them for continuing to skate. They have been wronged for so long.”

“How Sinitsina/Katsalapov won Euros is still beyond me, while Papadakis/Cizeron weren’t perfect at all there, they still should have won, but not by that large margin that they usually do, obviously. If this happens in Beijing, and they make S/K somehow win, that is the end of watching ice dance for me, forever.”

“People can only appreciate these amazing little girls when (and if) they burn out and are replaced. When they are at the top, all anybody can do is (nothing, but) nitpick and ‘hope that they don't’ get derailed by growth spurts and injuries.”
