“I was really rooting for Young You being one of the only non-big fed skaters at the GP series. I wonder if her training got messed up switching her training between two countries that have really strict quarantine procedures or if it was purely just a bad jumps day for her? It makes me wonder about international competitions going forward though. The mental and physical component of quarantining after travel makes me concerned for everyone.”

“I really want to see Starr Andrews get better and maybe, even make it to the Olympics. In a sport that is so heavily dominated by white and Asian athletes (at least in the U.S.), it is so nice seeing a Black figure Skater. There needs to be much more diversity in figure skating. I really want her to do well, so that little Black boys and girls can look up to her, the way that I looked up to Michelle Kwan and Kristi Yamaguchi, as a young Asian American!”

“I know Yulia had timing issues in 2015 when she got a lot taller, and so has Sasha in the latter half of the season when she grew a little, but Alina has had ur issues, rotational issues, technique issues and edge issues, but never timing issues. Maybe that swingy lutz entry really works for her.”
“I know she said it didn’t work when she tried it earlier, but I think Alysa should give the 4S another go, I think her edge jumps are better than her toe jumps (particularly/only the Lutz).”
