Every experience in life creates us. Every scar, every moment, every laugh. Sometimes I look back at individual pieces of my life and cringe a little, sometimes cry a lot. But then I make the decision to look at my life like a whole story, an entire book… Rather than just the individual chapters.
We have a choice. We can choose to view nothing in life as a miracle, or everything in life as one.

Tibetan prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be spread by the wind and bring good will and compassion to benefit all beings.
Tibetan tradition considers prayer flags to be holy. The flags contain sacred texts and symbols and should be treated respectfully. They should not be placed on the ground or put in the trash.
When disposing of old prayer flags one should burn them so that the smoke may carry their blessings to the heavens. Do not let prayer flags touch the ground as they are burned.
Traditionally, Tibetan prayer flags come in sets of five, with one flag in each of five colors, left to right in this specific order: blue, white, red, green, and yellow. The five colors represent the elements: blue symbolizes the sky and space, white symbolizes the air and wind, red symbolizes fire, green symbolizes water, and yellow symbolizes earth.
You may also choose to let your old Tibetan prayer flags fade and disintegrate naturally, hanging new prayer flags up with old ones. The contrast between old and new prayer flags is a reminder of impermanence and the continuing cycle of birth and death.

feel into the body. the breath. the heart beat. it’s easy to get frustrated when things aren’t going well but keep coming back to that brightness, goodness, the love and feed off of that ☀️
well, hot dang. I’ve taught over 2000 hours of this marvellous thing we call yoga when I stepped into teacher training my thinking was that I could teach maybe once a week, but yoga is all I have done ever since. I am super grateful to be able to do this, and for all the teachers who have taught me, and to all my fellow teachers and friends who keep inspiring me. and most of all so ridiculously thankful for everyone who’s taken the time to come to one of my classes and practice with me

Shanti
Shanti is a young Indian girl from It’s A Small World: The Animated Series. She appears in the episode Jolly Holi-Day. When the main characters land in India, she teaches them about the spring festival of Holi and about Indian culture.

I’ve never drawn her before. I like how her feet and dress turned out, though I feel like some of the detail was lost in the scanning.
