Do cows like to be Milked?
If you could ask a cow if she enjoys being milked she would probably tell you yes. The milk barn is quite comfortable. There is shade and cooling fans to keep her cool. Usually, there is some music to keep her relaxed. The whole process only takes about 12 minutes. A cow will spend only 24-36 minutes a day “working.” The rest of the time she is eating, relaxing, and socializing with friends. Truly an enviable lifestyle.
Cows are creatures of habit and love the routine . If you’re late to milking they will be waiting by the gate tapping their hooves. If you’re really late they will be very annoyed. It’s uncanny that they can know the exact hour of milking time. When you open the gate, it’s a great sight seeing them all walking and moooving to the milk barn
The milking process includes washing her teats and stimulating them. By stimulating her teats before milking, it allows a hormonal release of oxytocin that encourages her to let down her milk. Oxytocin is a feel good hormone that produces antidepressant-like effects. It’s got to be a great release.
There once lived a pirate come privateer named William Dampier who upon impressing the Admiralty of the British Royal Navy with his first circumnavigation of the world (as a f**king pirate) and the subsequent book he wrote of his adventures became an English explorer. He would go on to circumnavigate the world twice more, and lead the first expedition to explore “New Holland” with the backing of the British King, becoming the first Englishman to see Australia. That’s one accomplished pirate ☠️
Make no mistake though, this man was known for his cruelty ☠️

Phenomenal Gems notes from the world of gemology: Moldavite is one of the most popular of the healing gems used by the metaphysical community, and as such, has spawned an army of imitations. Moldavite was simulated in jewelry much earlier than you might think—in fact, bottle glass substitution was so common in the 1890s that the market collapsed and Moldavite didn’t become popular again until the 1960s. Imitations have stormed onto the market as metaphysical value has risen, and it’s a particular issue now as demand is higher than ever and supply has dwindled to nearly nothing. Raw imitations can be surprisingly deceptive, as the surface textures may be cast, drilled, or carved. Faceted stones don’t leave as much room to hide red flags, but may still fool a new collector. The best imitations require Raman spectroscopy and gemological expertise to differentiate, and can be quite convincing. Did you know Saskatchewan is home to several impact structures caused by meteorite impacts? One of the largest is Deep Bay located on the South Western tip of Reindeer Lake. The impact crater is over 13km in diameter, has a depth of 220m (the deepest water body in Saskatchewan!), and was formed approximately 99 million years ago

Although the first two pictures look like a mammoth, it’s actually a mastodont (Mammut americanum) of the Late Pleistocene (12,000 years ago). But how do the two differ? Mastodonts had rounded teeth, ate tree leaves, and had a pair of smaller tusks alongside their larger ones. Mammoths have one tusk set, and preferred grass and other plants low to to ground.
