- i believe i would have enjoyed this text much more if i was familiar with more of brother soyinka’s works as well as details of afrikan political history. books such as this one truly embrace holistic education. in one experience i was informed & mildly educated on nigerian cultural, religious, & political history as well as radio & shakespearean playwright techniques.
- if you love soyinka, nigeria, afrikan culture, or playwrights in general i would highly suggest taking the time to read this text. i would be interested in reading more synopses by gibbs because it read easily & truly seemed unbiased. it seems this text originated from an older siblings scholastic era.

The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is an atypical member of the cat family that is unique in its speed, while lacking climbing abilities. Therefore it is placed in its own genus, Acinonyx.
It is the fastest land animal, reaching speeds between 112 and 120 km/h in short bursts covering distances up to 460 m, and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 110 km/h in three seconds, faster than most supercars.
The adult cheetah weighs from 40 to 65 kg. Its total body length is from 115 to 150 cm, while the tail can measure up to 85 cm in length. Males tend to be slightly larger than females and have slightly bigger heads. The cheetah’s chest is deep and its waist is narrow. The coarse, short fur of the cheetah is tan with round black spots measuring from 2 to 3 cm across, affording it some camouflage while hunting. There are no spots on its white underside, but the tail has spots, which merge to form four to six dark rings at the end. The cheetah has a small head with high-set eyes.
There are several geographically isolated populations of cheetah, all of which are found in Africa or Southwestern Asia. The cheetah likes to live in an open biotope, such as semi-desert, prairie, and thick brush, though it can be found in a variety of habitats.

Eye know that “going natural” is different for everyone but it pains me to see our story exploited without the courtesy of the honest representation of the DEPTH of WHY we are even needing to RAturn to our NaTuRal state.☀️ We can’t ignore the systemic presumption that European standards are supreme. This lie is still reaking havoc on the minds of millions of people today! We’ve forgotten who we are and our narrative in the hands of our enemy will always leave us wanting… we have to answer WHY and HOW it is that as a global people we’re the most exploited and impoverished yet spending billions on fake hair. In deed we need healing…. you can’t speak this truth without people feeling offended or as if you’re “judging” people for their personal decisions, but the truth hurts. It’s not a judgement but a fact that, collectively speaking, we have our values and priorities fucked up. It’s not personal, it’s political — whether we like it or not. #NothingButLove #FreeYourMind

Over 5 years ago eye cut off my hair and decided to leave behind who eye thought eye was and what eye thought made me, to literally RAturn to my ROOTS! Cabo Verde is where eye started growing back my hair without any chemicals AT ALL — no shampoos, conditioners, just good ol aloe vera and authentic black Afrakan soap! That’s why my tips are golden and sunkissed without bleach. Eye moved back HOME and lived there with my love @prestonroundtree for a year of self exploration, clarity, research, transformation and RAjuvenation! It was not easy, but it is thee experience that catapulted me into myself, my purpose and DESTINY! Been back building the future with my father and looking forward to spending the winter in CV☀️✨ Love always to my heart @prestonroundtree for capturing all of these photos!
