Poppy Update!
Thanks Ian Somerhalder Foundation!
POPPY <3 UPDATE! (Thank You Ian Somerhalder Foundation) My foster girl’s forever momma sent me a text today with this photo and message… <3!!!! Poppy was rescued in February of 2013.
♥️Her original name was Dew. She and her sister, Gibby, were 4 months old at the time of their rescue. They started out with a different foster parent and eventually went to separate foster homes. Dew, renamed Poppy, was taken in by Michelle.
♥️ Poppy developed serious dental issues and stomatitis - uncommon but not unheard of for a kitty so young - that required a full mouth extraction - which was a delicate surgery because extracting all the teeth has a risk of breaking the lower mandible. Dr. Bigelow of Center Veterinary in San Diego did her surgery in February of 2014 and she came through it just fine.
♥️The Ian Somerhalder Foundation issued a grant to help offset the costs of her surgery and also featured her on their website as one of their grant success stories. She was eventually adopted by Casey in October of 2015.
Poppy Update: “Hi Michelle! I hope you are having a good holiday season, I just wanted to share this super cute picture of poppy I got yesterday, and yes they kiss allllll the time, sometimes they wake me up because they’ll be right next to my face in the middle of the night and decide it’s bath time lol.”
Meet Rosellyn
Meet Rosellyn (Gorgeous Sweetheart!)
Beautiful and soft, Rosellyn is a sweet companion kitty who is also perfectly playful. This lovely girl was 2 years old and expecting when she was rescued from Devore Shelter in April of 2017 and, not long after her rescue, she gave birth to 5 adorable kittens. Each has since found their forever home. Rosellyn is still waiting for her special person or family to come along.
Rosellyn is a patched tabby, or “torbie” calico with tabby markings, and has an inviting white belly and feet. Adding to her beguile, are her eyes, slightly different in hue, one gold and one approaching pumpkin. As you stare into her eyes to decipher the difference, she will make you fall in love. She loves to cuddle on the couch, has a strong hunting instinct and plays for long boughts daily. Most evenings Rosellyn passes out, belly up, in a food coma.
This girl gets along well with other friendly cats and doesn’t mind when calm children visitors pet her. She hasn’t visited with dogs while in my care but she will likely be fine with a gentle and calm pup. Rosellyn is waiting to enchant you and become a part of your forever home soon!

Meet Drystan!
Meet Drystan
Hi there! My name is Drystan, and I’m an adorable fluffy orange and white tabby. My foster mom says I feel like a bunny rabbit because my fur is so silky soft, but I’m definitely a cat! I’m not a really big boy, but my paws are pretty big, so I might grow up to be a big, strong cat. I like that- I’ll be able to pin my furry friends down when we wrestle and play!
I get along really well with all of my foster siblings; even the dog as long as she’s nice to me! I’m kind of a shy guy, so sometimes it can take me a little longer to be comfortable in new situations or when meeting new people. But don’t worry! Once I feel comfortable I’m really a sweet kitty. My brother, Murry, helps me feel not so overwhelmed and makes me more comfortable around things I’m a little unsure about! He’s my best friend and we’re a bonded pair so we must be adopted together. I like to play with my brother and chase toy mice or that crazy red laser light! My mission in life is to capture that red light! Even though I’m kind of shy, I like to be where all the action is, just sometimes I don’t want to be in the thick of it. When I’m feeling more social, I like to get pets and to snuggle too…and other times I like to be independent and spend some time relaxing by myself for a little bit.
Murry and I were rescued from Devore Shelter in June, 2017 when we were just 3 months old. Since then, we’ve seen the cat Doctor to be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. I also tested negative for FIV/FeLV. I really like my foster mom’s house, but it would be great to find a family that would like to love me and Murry forever and ever. Maybe that will be you!

Meet Lilikoi
Meet Lilikoi (Beautiful Bonded Sisters)
My sister, Ponytail, and I were almost surrendered to Devore Shelter back in June of 2016, but a nice lady from Kitty Devore Rescue intercepted us before we could be admitted. She took us home and we became KD Kitties. We were both 5 months old and, although our future had seemed uncertain, we were happy we were together and had each other.
Last February, we were both adopted. However, our former family worked from home and decided we were too distracting. So they returned us. We were sad but, again, at least we had each other and we knew Kitty Devore Rescue would always be our safety net and would never let anything bad happen to us, and here we are again, hoping for a new home to call our own.
We would very much like to stay together as we love each other so much. My sister is the shyer one of the two of us but warms up to people when she knows she can trust them. I’m her protector and much more adventurous and fearless. If you’d like to adopt my sister and me, please fill out an application for us today!
• Lilikoi and Ponytail are bonded sisters and must be adopted together

Meet Baby G
Meet BabyG
BabyG is approximately 6 months old and is a black and white short haired kitty with a very cute face. She was rescued in San Bernadino County along with her mom, Maybelline, and have both been in foster care for the last 5 months living with their human foster mom and dad.
BabyG is very playful with her mom and like most kittens feels very safe in knowing her mommy is always just a few steps away guarding her as well as teaching her the ways of social skills and independence. Although like most youngsters her curiosity is continually growing and while she was once very shy and skittish around humans, she is beginning to grow more comfortable in allowing her foster parents to rub her neck and pet her.
She loves the attention she gets from her foster parents when they play with her and her kitty toys — she may very well enjoy other cats too since she roughhouses with her mom quite a bit. She’s still on the shy side around strangers and children and doesn’t feel comfortable being handled which could be the result of their abandonment and tough beginning living on the streets. However in the few months they’ve been in foster care they’ve grown very content and feel safe in their environment and have adjusted quite well.
BabyG is ready to explore the outside world and start her own adventure with a forever family in a new home. She would be a lively addition to any family and I believe has the temperament to adjust and adapt to any situation.
If you’re interested in adopting her mom, Maybelline, you would have a very well behaved sweet pair of kitties that enjoy each other and play a lot and provide a lot of fun and entertainment.
