Yesterday afternoon I had to take my daughter to a meeting regarding an upcoming science trip to freakin’ ICELAND
The emeting was held at the other high school in town, and I had never met the teacher before. She is lovely, though, and did a good job holding the meeting (got the info across and didn’t waste any time). She had previously asked the kids to come up with artwork for a sweatshirt that they will all wear while traveling (to help everybody keep together, I think). However, none of the kids had anything to submit to her. So I

to produce a sweatshirt design today for them
I know, I know, I’m rather overscheduled, but I deserve a little fun thing to do. So this morning I got out the paper, pens, straightedge, and a lunch plate for a circle guide. I quickly whomped up a design and sent it to her.
Yes, it could have been a little better with a little more time, but it gets the point across. And now it’s time to get on with the grocery shopping and another round of cleaning my father’s plant-nursery-room.
Iceland is. Just. So cool. I’m jealous.

“Starry Hill” Acrylic on Canvas
“Starry Hill” is an original piece by Exiled Emotion Studio. This painting is one of my personal favorites. The acrylic blues and purples bring me a sense of calm in this crazy world. The night sky is stunning with a touch of mystery. I feel as though I’ve dreamed of this place before. Lying in a meadow on a cloudless night, with my arms behind my head staring up at the endless wonder that is our universe. “Starry Hill” is a place that I wish I could always be when life gets a little too rocky.
