I’ve been saving this model of Bruce for some outfit comparisons I planned to do between him and the Sirens so stay tuned for that sometime in the spring! I also planned on sharing my headcanons for my version/redesign sometime in the future too. Which -yes- does include him wearing the autistic bat symbol I’m making. (Patience! All good things in good neurodivergent time ♾❤)
Important note: the humor here is derived from the fact that a typical male power fantasy character gets to wear an outfit usually not desired for men representing that fantasy. NOT the fact that he is a guy in a cute skimpy outfit. Men can (and should ) wear any cute skimpy outfit they like. (seriously )

In english and spanish translations of the Mayan legend, Camazotz is often called the “Death Bat” (“Zotz” meaning bat in the k'iche’ language). They are entities of the underworld and symbols of sacrifice, death, and the night.
While there are fearful tales of them in their native culture, it is important to remember that in many cultures - cosmic beings were not altogether viewed through the western lense of “good and evil”. In fact, in many pre-columbian mesoamerican philosophies the primary dichotmomy was Chaos and Order, with the universe existing in the balance between the two. (and as a physics loving person this makes my heart sing )
Camazotz (sometimes said to be one entity that was “he”, or many of a type of entity that were “they”) to me, is a symbol of natural forces embodying Life and Death. To die is to be unwoven, and return to the earth. To live is to be re-ordered from the unwoven universe. To sacrifice… is to give up personal safety or the order of the status quo - and is something I feel has been relevant to many communities in our ongoing fight for Justice. Though what we work for, is a system that does not make us sacrifice ourselves. ✊✊✊️⚧️️♿
I was REALLY thinking about bats and about my life in general. And yes! this is my Halloween pumpkin. I carved it on Dec. 25th even though I had it since mid October because of my top surgery making it hard to lift or use my arm muscles ️⚧️
(I like to think I sacrificed my chesticles,returned them to theChaos, and rebuilt the place my heart rests…)
I wanted to donate the pumpkin to @batworldsanctuary for the bats to snack on (they take donations!), but they can’t take carved ones .
Yall really liked my autistic bat posts ❤❤ and I gush over every single one of yall who shared my enthusiasm. I want to make some autistic bat stickers So let me know which one(s) looks best!

Honestly, though I am not above making multiple versions if people vibe with the idea enough…
(also I have a redbubble but I’m game for more suggestions of places to make stickers!)
Cats: “mew” • Like to make little noises to communicate • come off as aloof but actually just show affection differently • sometimes like touch…sometimes NO • ZOOM
Bats: often sensitive to light • unheard communication • known for flapping (literally called “Bats”) • so misunderstood - and feared??? • Needs dark and quiet
Birds (especially corvids and parrots): Sounds Galore! Some even mimic sounds they hear • More flapping • puzzle solvers • some are prone to anxiety when favorite person is gone • unique senses of style
Whales (Dolphins, “whales”, porpoises, belugas, narwhals): “EEEEE” • Some are very social, othrs are shy and roam the world humming ethereal tunes in the darkness we cannot comprehend • they do flips and spins just for fun • Sound sensitive. Noise pollution is harmful • Trickster Gods. But also have shown great empathy
Fireflies: Light it Up Gold! • Nonverbal Communication • Just love dark nights and cozy leaf litter • sensitive environmental changes • Somehow… we always find each other in the darkness ♡

Greetings! Do people still say “greetings”? It’s been a while since I’ve been on social media (3 cups overwork, ¼ cup burnout, 2 tsps of what am I doing with my life).
