Tintin remembers what comes after 15.

FUCKING HELL IT’S BACK FROM LAST YEAR

This literally gets reblogged every 15th of the month. It’s almost two years old. It’s beautiful.

listen up ya’ll this post is 6 years old now and you’re still reblogging it. every month. once a month, my notifications blow up for this one video, but only until the 16th. then the notes on this vid completely stop. it’s so eerily spot on and impressive how you just all collectively know what to do. if I’m not online, people irl still remind me that it’s the 15th. thank you for six surreal years of me wondering if I completely fucking lost it. here’s to the 15th

Ten years of celebrating the 15th, everyone

HAPPY 10 YEARS OF THE 15TH, EVERYONE. I CANT FUCKING BELIEVE THIS IS STILL HAPPENING.

Anincredible update on CO’s STAR program^^

Hey yall!! the reason this exists is because we elected ppl like Candi CeDe Baca to the city council and she fights for unions and students and poor people and also because we broke so many of DPD and APD’s things so much they had to listen to us. keep fighting. change happens.

hustlerose:

so, to sum up the last couple weeks:

  • the NFT fad ended and several tokens that were supposed to be worth millions were sold for peanuts
  • terra luna tanked and dragged terra’s stablecoin off its peg. terra was the 3rd largest stablecoin at the time
  • meanwhile, people are starting to face legal consequences for stuff like fraudandmoney laundering
  • terra freezes their blockchain to prevent a run on the bankstablecoin
  • tether and dei also lose their pegs and tank
  • a court is forcing tether to reveal its reserve records to the public, which will definitely show that they’re backed by significantly less money than they claim
  • etherium and bitcoin both crash hard at the same time
  • tether’s market cap has dropped by several billion in the past few days, which might mean that some of the people at the top of the pyramid scheme are cashing out in dollars. just scooping up handfuls of money from tether’s reserves and running for the hills

crypto is fucking dying lol

Their unionization push comes amid a wave of unionizing at other retail companies. Last month, the independent Amazon Labor Union won its union election at a warehouse in Staten Island, New York (although a subsequent vote at another nearby warehouse failed). Workers at an REI in Manhattan voted to unionize in March. Union elections have been called at Apple stores in Atlanta and Baltimore. And about 60 Starbucks stores have voted to unionize since December, with dozens more elections filed.

Many of these campaigns have important things in common. These are the kind of low-wage, service-sector workers who seemed so impossible to unionize for so long. Amazon and Starbucks workers aren’t bringing in organizers from big, established unions, but instead workers are leading the way themselves. And they’re going store by store, location by location. It was long thought that such a campaign couldn’t work. “What people didn’t recognize is the contagion factor,” said Kate Bronfenbrenner, director of labor education research at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Target Workers Unite is hoping to instigate exactly that kind of national spread.

Buffalo Community Fridges

There’s a Twitter thread breaking it down

Updated as BCF is no longer taking donations and asking for donations to other groups such as Black Love Resists in the Rust (I fundraised for them through 2020 Bakers Against Racism) and Rooted In Love.

Confederate flags, Trump flags, etc., are not a rare sight around here. Do not believe for a second that violent racism only exists in the south.

As a fellow Upstate NY resident, my heart goes out to Buffalo, and especially their black community. If you would like to help, please see https://www.buffalocommunityfridges.com/

If you are in the area, you can bring food donations to one of their locations. If not, they also have a Target registry linked as well.

The famous Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, who was working for  Al Jazeera and exposing various Israeli crimes for the past 25 years has been shot in the head today by an Israeli sniper while wearing a press vest and a helmet (videos online literally shows her headless body being dragged moments after being shot and her press vest is clear as the day) while she was cowering on the ground and repeatedly screaming “press!” during her coverage of the Israeli military raiding a refugee camp in the Palestinian city of Jenin where at least one unarmed Palestinian civilian was killed by them (source:X)

Israel regularly kills, kidnap, torture and brutalize journalists from all nationalities that document their crimes in occupied Palestine and per the norm, American/western media such as the New York Times are reporting on this literal war crime as “clashes,” even though some of them had their own journalists killed and their offices bombed in the past by Israel.

Combined arms: the world’s most complicated game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors”.

Well, at least that’s what I get from these tweets.

Roe v. Wade

Do not focus on the leak. Focus on the contents of the leak. These justices are trying to take away reproductive rights, human rights.

This does not only effect women but anyone with a uterus! This is the first step they will take before they start taking more and more rights away.

The Justices have shown that they don’t care about what the US citizens think, we need to show them that they NEED to care what we think.

So here I am again, as a US citizen, begging that when you vote, you vote for people who will fight along side us. If Roe v Wade gets overturned then it will become a state by state decision, so you want the people who care about your reproductive rights to be in law-making positions.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Votefor people who are going to protect your reproductive rights.
  • Be apart of protests, if not physically then digitally.
  • Donateto places fighting for reproductive rights.
  • Educateyourself and those around you about the importance of reproductive rights.

Here are some resources that you can look into for more information:

Planned Parenthood’s page on abortion

4 easy ways to fight for abortion rights

ACLU’s page on what you can do

Here’s a website of National Abortion Funds that you can share and donate to

Prochoice America’s website

A map of states with trigger laws that will likely ban abortion if Roe v Wade is overturned

What Else:

Know that things are not hopeless. The majority of US citizens are pro-choice, especially us younger generations. We have the ability to handle this and we will, one way or another. Stay strong, do not lose hope.

Know that as of right now Abortion is still legal in many states!!!

Hi, guys. Today is March 11th, the tenth anniversary of the Tohoku Disaster that impacted Jana’s northeastern Tohoku region.

Only one search counts for person, and it only takes a second!

https://fukko.yahoo.co.jp/?fr=top_evt311_pc&cpt_n=3.11&cpt_m=search&cpt_s=pcweb

☝ Here’s the URL to take you to the search.

This search is only good for another 13 hours from the time of me making this post, so please reblog and share with as many people as possible!

my state just made all abortion illegal during a baby formula shortage. wtf

God, grant me the serenity to stop doomscrolling on google news, the courage to stop doomscrolling on Twitter, and the wisdom to stop doomscrolling on Reddit.

You can be angry about things but still make the conscious decision not to be cruel. When we remind each other to be kind, we’re not saying don’t be mad. There’s a lot of stuff to be mad about right now. But you can still be a kind and patient person. You don’t have to be mean to other people. You can choose.
