El artista Yaroslav Horak falleció hoy a la edad de 93 años, según informó007 Magazine. Nacido en Manchuria como hijo de una madre rusa y un padre checo, fue el segundo hombre en dibujar el rostro de James Bond cuando las novelas de Ian Fleming se adaptaron en 1960 para el Daily Express

John McLusky fue el primer artista en retratar al 007 de Ian Fleming, pero desde 1966 hasta 1977 fue Horak quien lo sucedió, dibujando a Bond con un rostro que -curiosamente- tenía muchos rasgos que se asemejaban a Timothy Dalton y Pierce Brosnan antes que ellos interpretaran al agente secreto.

Horak retrató a 007 en las adaptaciones de El Espía Que Me Amó,El Hombre del Revólver de Oro,Octopussy,La Rareza De Hildebrand yThe Living Daylights, continuando luego con la adaptación de Colonel Sun (de Kingsley Amis) y guiones originales de Jim Lawrence como River of Death,Trouble Spot yThe Girl Machine, entre otros.
