A good rule to live by is that if you hate some piece of media, you should care less about it, devote less energy to it, and spend less time thinking about it than the people who like it. This isn’t even a “don’t criticize” or “positive vibes only” thing, it’s more of an “if you talk about hating it more than the fans talk about liking it, the net result is that you’re the one keeping attention fixed on it”

“A lot of people online vocally hate the development in the show and have made a million posts calling on people to stop watching it, and also they watch every episode and comment on the new developments they’re enraged by” is a great way to get the show to keep doing developments like that (look how much engagement it nets!) and also, especially if the outrage is for legitimate social reasons, an EXCELLENT way to ensure that all the creeps online see your objections and suddenly take an interest in supporting it, where they wouldn’t have before.

“A lot of people online realized they hate the show now, so they just sorta stopped watching and stopped talking about it” usually ends up causing the show to fall out of public favor and get cancelled

Annoying everyone with my new obsession

People who say “don’t you already have that book” need to understand that different book editions equals a new book it has a different feeling and smell and texture yes it’s the same story but IT’S A DIFFERENT BOOK

Why can’t we just experience the things we absloutly love and adore all over again. I get that feeling every time i’m rereading my favorite book or rewatching my favorite movie like i want to experiance these intense feelings for the first time again because no matter how many time you return tou your favorite book or movie it will never be like the first time.

i love that doctor who is really just a show, and actors who don’t know anything about the fanbase are always like “oh yeah sure, I’d love to play the doctor,” but the second they set foot in this fucking arena, millions of us just go rabid and start drawing fan art and making fan cams and fan fiction and putting them in other doctors’ clothes. it’s like, by embodying the idea of the doctor, you’re immediately accepted and immortalized by a herd of internet gremlins, who now love you

It seems to be a good year for ships at NCIS. Palmer and Breena are still happy, McGee and Delilah are still adorable dorks and all seem well…

…but if Ellie and Nick don’t get action with each other, I will change the channel.

I should be studying for my Midterms exams but instead here I am strolling down Star Wars lane.

To be honest, no matter how much I still love NCIS and was dedicated to watch this season… I just can’t do it now.

I cannot watch another character leave. My heart just can’t take it. Not Abby. I just can’t watch knowing that by the end of it… The sunshine that is Abby will be gone.

They say that all characters are all replaceable… But I’m sorry. This is too much.

That’s it! I’m making my own mortal kombat lore and story!

Because canon is so fucked up at this point.

Thanks to wb and capitalism and ungrateful fans.

Fucking greedy corporations.

*stomps off in a rage*

my friend, angry: I HOPE ALL YOUR SHIPS BREAK UP

me: BOLD OF YOU TO ASSUME THEY WERE EVER CANON

That “based on a book thing” that you only keep the names of the characters and a very general concept, is really annoying…
