I really just wanna get away. Close out the influences in the world. A quiet island, plenteous in Mother Nature’s nutrients. Quiet. No technology to make me dependant, no media to direct my thinking, no news, no stories of crime and violence. Simply, me, the Most High, and the voices of the wind. I want to be one with nature for a day. I want to be dependent on my spiritual strength for a day. I want to know what fruits heal, what vegetables cure, what herbs and grains can repair. I want to feel the earth beneath my feet and have strong soles to travel a million lands like our ancestors. I want to be free of processed foods, man made medicine, man made moisturizers and lather my skin in pure butters of the earth. I want to seek the earth for its wealth. I want to build with my hands and enjoy the kind of life Netflix cannot bring. I want to breathe fresh air. I want to live as a human should…sometimes…or at least for just one day. -Rena

Sometimes, vacations are more trouble than they’re worth. You spend a lot of money, travel far, and leave stressed.
Getaway, a hospitality startup launched in the Harvard Innovation Lab, shakes up that routine by offering tiny houses for rent. Relaxing in the forest reins in the temptation to take day trips or shop, leaving guests to unwind. It’s like camping, but with the creature comforts of home.
The company maintains three 160-square-foot tiny houses in the Massachusetts woods, which guests can book for $99 a night. The location of the homes is is top-secret, but all are within a two-hour drive of Boston.
This panel is so important, and I don’t think a lot of people realize that. Especially the ones calling Getaway manipulative for what he said to Tailgate.
This panel, by its juxtaposition of a lone Cyclonus with a text box about being emotionally inarticulate, implies that perhaps Cyclonus finds it difficult to say what he means. So, given that he did discuss events with Getaway (which would make sense, he probably doesn’t tell everything to Tailgate to not hurt or confuse the poor little guy when what he wants to talk about is him), it’s entirely possible - nay, plausible - that Getaway misunderstood what he was being told, so when he passed it onto Tailgate - he thought he was looking out for Tailgate’s best interests. He in no way wanted to hurt Tailgate (or Cyclonus) he was just wanting to make sure Tailgate didn’t get hurt in the long run.
He wasn’t being manipulative - he was being a friend.
Getaway implies he is quoting Cyclonus. I find it VERY unlikely Cyclonus would share Tailgate’s words (or - for that matter - anything about that deeply personal moment) with anyone, let alone someone he’s just met.
I think it’s much more likely Getaway learnt about Tailgate’s behaviour from someone else (or perhaps faked it? since we actually saw Tailgate being unbelievably brave - especially if we consider the fact he was in terrible pain, paralyzed and dying) and now is using it to manipulate Tailgate.
