Say hello to our gold foil on matte gold stickers and sustainable custom tissue paper bearing our brand new pattern for 2019, “Palme before the Storm” - Palme being the French word for Paisley (from which the design is inspired) and the storm part refers to the wind and wave patterns that form the abstracted Paisley pattern - you might even be able to see the lighthouses and windmills that we incorporated into the design to reinforce the idea!

This 11"x14" print was created from my recently completed Third Eye illustration, which was the third and final piece in my Golden Flowers series. As you can see from the photos, the foil is so reflective, I couldn’t avoid my camera appearing in every single shot.

‘Inhale, Exhale’ drops as a print Thurs Nov 25th, 12PM (PT) on my store!
I once asked my friend, “how would you describe my work?” And she responded with “your work is like…. inhale, exhale, yknow?” It was a strange and vague response, but I kinda understood what she meant, and it made me happy. That conversation planted a seed in my mind that one day came into fruition as this very painting.
To this day, this painting still holds such a dear place in my heart. It remains one of my most proudest and memorable pieces to me personally. I think it encapsulated the message, theme and story of my ‘Breathe’ exhibition, but more importantly, it captured everything I’d wanted my work to look and feel like, I felt it was a huge milestone for me! I was proud of how it told a story, how it captured a fleeting moment, how it portrayed a feeling and ultimately; how it captured ‘inhale, exhale’.

This painting was for my exhibition, ‘Breathe.’ The red string that wraps around the figure is a reference to the Chinese legend, ‘the red thread of fate.’ The original legend is about the fated bond between soulmates, but for this piece I wanted to reinterpret it to a story about us being connected to our own individual fated stories by this unbreakable string. I loved this idea, that no matter how many times the thread gets tangled or how many times we trip over, we’re still on the same journey to that same end.
In other words: even though shit happens along the way, things will work out the way they’re meant to be.
This Thursday Nov 25th, 12PM PT (Pacific Time), we’ll be releasing two new prints and a pin set on my store!
‘Inhale, Exhale’ and ‘A Moment to Rest’ will BOTH be available in two separate editions: ⭐️ GOLD EDITION - both pieces will be available as a special TIME-LIMITED print for 72 hours. Each print has been gold-foiled to replicate the gold in the original artwork. After the 72 hours (Sun Nov 28th, 12PM PT) the edition size will be determined. This gold-foiled print will not be printed again thereafter. ⭐️ OPEN EDITION - both pieces will be available as an open edition print permanently on the store. ⭐️ A new enamel pin of my painting & logo, ‘Two Worlds One Ocean’ will also be available at release
This is his last journey, he understands that well. There is a softness in him, a light that shines deep within, though still the darker side of him tempts him towards a violent future.
